In my opinion, this place seems to have gone downhill.  The room I stayed in was dark, hot, run down and sticky.   The towels smelled sour. The furnishings in the room look like yard sale finds.   No Tv in the bedroom.  Foot of the bed was higher than the head. Shower is very small. The steps leading to the room were loose and the carpet on them was worn.  

Not what I expected

We stayed 2 nights this is a historic cabin experience near a creek the first room 13 had a fireplace which we used they provide a duraflame log to burn . A small refrigerator,microwave A few dishes and glassware,tv it’s a cozy old place with beautiful view of mountain trees and creek down the hillside ,the outside has a small deck.The second night we moved to the village room 14 with a deck and chairs this is the best room larger with fireplace and bathroom has a large jacuzzi tub with vaulted ceiling and nice wood decorations the shower is in the tub so you must be able to step up 18” or a little more the beds here are very comfortable. Make sure you spend time in the lodge it’s very inviting and you may meet some new friends

We will return here again a pleasant get away

Found this place and was really impressed. Rooms were clean, Airy and Nicely arranged. Courtyard was spacious. Staff, Sandy, was very helpful and gave out great information. Had a fire in Hemet when we were there and gave us updates as to where we could or could not go. Suggested a couple of restaurants and was not disappointed. Worth every penny which was not much! Very good prices for some very nice rooms. Will be going again.

Easy Living

Staff at check-in was extremely helpful and friendly. Stayed in room #14. The bed was very comfortable. Drawback, no outlets near the bed.  Parking seems to be limited. We had to park down the street because there was not a parking slot available for us.

Pleasant getaway

We stayed two nights, mid-week, in the Black Oak cabin. We enjoyed our stay. This cabin has a king bed, futon, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and TV. Good WiFi. Very clean. The free standing gas stove keeps the place nice and warm. Since the sleeping area is raised, it tends to be warmer than the sitting area. We were too hot the first night. The village grounds are nicely landscaped, with a stream running through the center, and kept in pristine condition. Close to the downtown area, shops and restaurants.

We Enjoyed Our Stay

Stayed in Cabin 1 for a weekend with GF and a dog.  The studio room had plenty of room, was cozy,  and a nice small kitchen area that suited our needs The kitchen had a Stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, utensils, and small dining table.  The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful during the stay.  The property has a nice Koi pond and areas to relax and eat if you like.  The cabin is a short walk to the center of town, close enough but far enough away.  It was a great stay and we will return.

Cozy cabin

The place is beautiful and very cozy. We stayed in the black oak, there was a king bed and a queen futon. There wasn’t any blankets for the queen futon and at night it was very cold. The heater works amazing, but the cold still seeps in through the windows. The queen futon isn’t very comfortable to sleep on, so that might interrupt a good nights rest. There’s only one window in the bathroom that opens, so that night leave a bit of a smell.

We were looking for a location to do a men's fashion photo shoot during the day up in Idyllwild. We were pleasantly surprised at the character and hospitality of Silver Pines Lodge. We were unable to stay the night, but everyone was more than accommodating and hospitable to us for the entire day. We were able to stay warm in the main Lodge as well as discover the incredible property in the snow. We were also able to get some incredible photos for our company. We will definitely be coming back to STAY very soon and cannot wait to see what more the property has to offer.

Incredible customer service and

It is all about which room you pick. I picked a room in the main 100 year old lodge. Mistake. Could hear anyone outside. Bathroom was dirty, had no AC and screens had holes in them so bugs could come in. The window by kitchen/bathroom opened to a patio where others could sit, talk and smoke as it came into my window. There is no covering in the window and all working outlets are right next to window. So I had to stand naked or wear a towel walking 2 ft outside the bathroom to do my hair. 



Disappointed but hopeful

The area near the koi pond is very tranquil and inviting. The staff very nice and helpful. Loved the rustic lodge next to my room as well as the grill where I Bbq each night.
The lilac room #6 was a bit disappointing in that there is a room above and created creaky floor noise as well as chairs being scraped across the floor early morning.  Was wanting to indulge in long sleeps. I'd return for sure and noted better rooms for then.
