Our fave place to stay in Idyllwild! The only room left when I booked this time was a king suite (#10). It had a nice spatious deck which gets the mid-morning & afternoon sun (though views of middle cabins are a bit nicer w/more trees).  Lovely wildflowers on the property & good to see Strawberry Creek still had some water in it even though this is a dry time of year. We enjoyed walking on the trail near Idyllwild Park easily accessible from the inn. 

The binder with information had sightseeing suggestions (as well as a list of town eateries & other local info.) We enjoyed driving to some of those areas. 

In the mornings, we used the two “his” & “her” warm robes provided in the closet with “Creekside Inn” embroidered patches. Very posh & nice touch! 😍Always a pleasure to stay here in these charming cabins!

We just completed a two night stay at this lovely inn. Highly recommended. This is a very basic, rustic cabin. It has everything you need and it is clean. The wild life is charming. The walk along Strawberry Creek is lovely and restorative. Don't forget to ask to purchase peanuts to feed the squirrels. You can hear the people next door but as long as people are being respectful, it's not bad. We will definitely be back.

Cozy cabin with your basic needs, your balcony facing a running creek, very peaceful, fresh air, beautiful nature surroundings, a small town close by has all your needs, looking forward on going back.



Perfect Getaway !!!

Super quiet.  Outside of main town and all the hubbub.  Everything is clean and comfortable.  A great place to truly relax, decompress, and unwind.  Listen to the creek, take a walk among the trees, enjoy the wildlife.
Terrifically comfortable bedding.  Good WIFI allows connection with outside world if needed.  Staff is attentive and accommodating.  Decks facing the stream are delightful for reading.  Kitchenette, fridge, stovetop, and microwave allow for basic cooking, and all of the basic necessities for dining in are included.
This is NOT a modern hotel with giant rooms, but instead, a clean, comfortable place to sleep and relax.
If you are just trying to get away from it all, you could stay on the property and walk around the pristine grounds and never have to go anywhere else.  But this is also a great place to have as a home base for venturing out into town or on hikes in the area.  We WILL be back again.

The Name Says it All

Wonderfully quiet, great room ( queen pet allowed room), beautiful property with and without snow, idyllwild is a great little town to visit and Quiet Creek Inn is perfectly located to be near town but far enough to be quiet and peaceful. We will be back.

Wonderful snowy getaway

Our stay was terrible & disappointing. Biggest problem is the customer service from the staff. We felt very unwelcome from the very first moment we arrived. They don’t feel the need to provide exceptional service or go out of their way at all to make guests feel welcome and appreciated. They are very unemphatic people working there, and If any issues should occur with your cabin or stay, beware because they really don’t care to resolve any issues if any happen, nor is anyone onsite 24/7. Your problems will have to happen from 2-5p, and even if they do, good luck in getting help from them! 

Secondly, the overall accommodations need some improvements (specifically for Cabin #1). I have stated a few examples below of the problems we experienced during our stay, although there were a lot more! Because of the inn keepers and bad customer service operations, you will end up regretting staying here & feeling disappointed when you leave. I hope that the staff will make some changes and improvements and take these complaints seriously so that future guest can feel welcome and valued as a customer.

We addressed a few issues during our stay, but since we were there only 2 nights and had a full day of plans both days, we could not wait for a repairman or for staff and end up cancelling our plans b/c we to wait until 2p! This would be a big inconvenience to us and waiting for a repairman is not something we wanted to do while on vacation nor did we have the time to do so! Cabin should be checked and in good running order before new guests check in! 

1.	Bath Towels:  I called the morning of 11/27 to request extra bath towels, and I was told by the women at the front desk that I would have to wait until 2P to do a towel exchange.  My family and I had a whole day of plans starting in the morning, and this was not acceptable. We could not wait until 2P to shower nor did we want to waste our valuable time waiting for a repair to be done/made! Never out of all my years of traveling have I had to wait for towels when requested!  
2.  	Cabin not stocked properly with Supplies: Since housekeeping is not provided, it would be helpful if extra supplies are provided (Towel papers, Toilet paper, matches, bath towels, etc.)  This way when guests need something, they don't have to call the front desk (FYI -cell reception & Wi-Fi is bad) OR wait until 2P to request anything that is needed.  
3.  	Leaky Bathroom Faucet: We had to turn off water 2nd day of our stay & use towels to dry water from dripping everywhere. Notified management with a note after our stay, since we had plans for the day and could not wait there for someone to come and repair it!

Our top recommendation is to try to improve on customer service and being friendlier to guests. Add small little touches in the cabin to make them feel welcome on arrival, and that will go a long way in your business. Maybe put a nice basket of goodies on the table w/extra supplies, fruit or maybe muffins for the morning. For the price per night that guests pay, customer service should be exceptional, not be mediocre. 

As a frequent traveler & blogger, I always feel it's important to give a hotel or lodge an opportunity to rectify a bad customer experience. As of today, I have not received any sort of apology or resolution from Quiet Creek for the problems I incurred during my stay with my family. Even a simple, "we are sorry that our cabin did not meet your expectations would have been a nice gesture & gone a long way in this business. Not all people who work in the hospitality business have the experience or decency to provide exceptional customer service care.  Luckily, I have had much better experiences and pleasurable trips elsewhere. ADVICE: Book an Airbnb in Idyllwild, you will be much happier!

TERRIBLE Customer Service -Do not stay here!

Our stay was terrible & disappointing. Biggest problem is the customer service from the staff. We felt very unwelcome from the very first moment we arrived. They don’t feel the need to provide exceptional service or go out of their way at all to make guests feel welcome and appreciated. Secondly, the overall accommodations need some improvements (specifically for Cabin #1). 

I have listed a few examples below of the problems we experienced during our stay. I am sharing my unhappiness here with the trip advisor community to warn others before staying & booking with them directly. Because of the inn keepers and bad service, you will end up regretting it & feeling disappointed when you leave. I hope that the staff will make some changes and improvements, and take these complaints seriously so that guest can feel welcome and valued as a customer.

These were main concerns during our stay and examples of experiences; We addressed a few issues during our stay and notified them on the other issues. Frankly, we just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible and we got the message from day 1, that they probably would not listen & didn’t care about any of our concerns after we simply asked for extra bath towels.

Bath Towels:  I called the morning of 11/27 to request extra bath towels, and I was told that I would have to wait until 2P to do a towel exchange bc the person who answered was alone at the front desk. 2.	Inadequate Dining Table Space. Only 2 dining chairs were provided, and there was a very large white microwave placed right on top of the table taking up most of the tablespace. There was only enough room for 1 person to dine there. I walked over to front desk to ask if they happen to have an extra small table to move microwave. The person suggested to eat around the coffee table on the floor. Besides a wobbly coffee table, the carpet looked filthy & this would be very unsanitary since most germs are found on the ground, and this was not an option especially during Covid & CDC guidelines. 

3.	Cabin not stocked properly with Supplies: Since housekeeping is not provided, it would be helpful if extra supplies are provided (Towel papers, Toilet paper, matches, bath towels, etc.)  This way when guests need something, they don't have to call the front desk (FYI -cell reception & Wi-Fi is bad) OR wait until 2P. 

4.	Inadequate Heating: It’s noisy & could not be left on overnight, nor did it provide enough heat and warmth in the cabin. Additionally, only 1 fire-log was provided, which burned after 2 hours. Would be nice if they provided more than 1 log per night of stay as a common courtesy

5.	Leaky Bathroom Faucet: We had to turn off water 2nd day of our stay & use towels to dry water from dripping everywhere. Notified management with a note inside cabin since we had plans for the day and could not wait there for someone to come and repair it. We did not want to waste our valuable time since our trip was short, and we were checking out the next morning.  Also, I believe no-one is there on site to help 24 hrs a day, and check in is only 2-5p

The ONLY positives we enjoyed, are the warm robes that were provided, Bed was comfortable, & the location is not too far from town, about 5-minute drive. I wouldn't say it's walking distance and too dangerous to walk into town from street side.  We Also enjoyed Idyllwild! It is such a charming little town. Everyone in town was so friendly & accommodating to us so will be going back but will plan on staying elsewhere. 

Lastly, the guest manual in cabin needs to be updated. Some items were not available or closed. Like guest lounge, which we understood because of Covid. But we couldn’t obtain a free Day pass for a nearby park which was stated, nor the free nuts for the squirrels that come by the balcony.

TERRIBLE Customer Service & Unwelcoming Staff

Quiet creek in is a wonderful secluded setting in the mountains perfect for your retreat. Everything you need is at hands reach and the staff are helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended so cal stay.

Great place to getaway, everything you need

What a wonderful, relaxing, and simply gorgeous place to stay. Simple cabins with fireplace, nothing fancy but extremely clean and well kept. The private balcony was amazing to bundle up in a blanket to view the stars at night, fall colors in the day.

DELIGHTFUL! AMAZING VIEWS AND OUTDOOR TRAILS

A friend and I stayed at Quiet Creek Inn recently and can highly recommend it.  So if you’re near Palm Springs sometime and would like to go into the mountains for a little quiet and coolness, plan on staying at the Inn.

It consists of a number of well-appointed cabins nestled in the trees and within walking distance (a mile) of the town.  There’s a huge deck where you can sit out and relax while looking at the stars and listening to the quiet.  The silence was occasionally broken by bird sounds and coyote cries.

The bed was comfortable, the linens felt good, I really liked the essential oil-infused bath toiletries and we had a fridge and microwave.  

A good place to relax and unwind.  We were amused at all the decorated deer around town so I've included a picture of the ones sponsored by our Quiet Creek Inn hosts.
