you guys are great

so my fiancé decided to get a room to relax and have a peace of mind and he got the room for us. well me looking at the area im thinking its safe its well lit up but looks can definitely be deceiving. window was unlocked not enough outlets in the room for their appliances you had to unplug the refrigerator to plug the light up or microwave  restroom was not insulated very cold THEN TO TOP IT ALL OFF TWO MEN CAME TO THE ROOM TRYING TO GET IN  SAYING THEY ARE THE MAINTENANCE MAN....... WE NEVER CALLED  ABOUT PROBLEMS IN THE ROOM .... SO PLEASE BEWARE

I will post my pictures. I saw a 4 star rating...and booked it on a necessary short notice stay. I was unpleasantly surprised. I travel 200-250 days a year.. and stay in a variety of properties. This... deserves 2 stars.. max 3. It was a fair value at $ 50/night... but I would have paid $ 20 more for a better place. Good news... no critters though!

Mike Is Super Friendly. Give me a best rate And Huge room for My Family. My house was leak and has mildew so i have to move. Room was clean and comfortable .Free wifi its helps For my kids did home work. Much better hotel than Franchies Hotels in Forsyth IL. I will Strongly recommends to every one  thanks staff

Top Independence Hotel

I have had a very nice stay here everytime I come to Decatur nothing fancy but everything works wifi is awasome mike you are the best when it comes to business.staff is great very helpful and so is the location lots of stores and restaurants within walking distance.

Superb

Friendly staff , room was very nice , clean , and comfortable.  Much better than the motel I stayed at 2 weeks ago which cost more . I dont need a pool or a continental breakfast and will return my next time in Decatur.

Highly recommend

Super friendly staff and great location for access to DMH.  Room had some blood on the wall as well as in the mattress itself.  My gold standard for whether a room is good or not is whether I feel comfortable taking my shoes off in the room.  This was definitely a shoe wearing room.

Great costumer service

Starting from the super mega fantastic pool but then the whole view of the corn grass, ahha very suggestive, pool closes at 11:00 all quiet as a hotel, built-in buffet, coffee, waffles, you stood like a god!
