My daughter and grandchildren checked in at around 12 am I was headed to Missouri and didn’t want to drive the rest of the way in as it was late. We get the kids settled and are asleep ourselves when the fire alarm goes off at 3 am only to walk outside to see a man being arrested with k 9 dogs and he had been looking inside my windows ! Asked them to refund said they did but credit is not showing on my statement . Will check next months bill if credit is issued I will rewrite this review to say so . But I do not advise stating in this hotel as comforters were soiled also

Do not recommend

This place is awful.  When we went to check in they tried to give us a smoking room. We ended up with 2 non smoking as requested. Then the bathrooms were dirty. . There were hair on the sides and in the tub. The toilet wasn't clean and there was dirt  of some kind on the bathroom floor around the toilet. The sink had something spilled on it and had not been cleaned up we insisted the rooms get  cleaned or we were leaving. They did clean it but they should have never put us into a room that was that dirty. Then the 1st morning. When we went for their breakfast. What we found was pre-packaged of honey buns , cranberry juice, apples and oranges, and coffee.They had no milk from my grandchildren.You shouldn't even call that breakfast when you advertise.Then when we were checking out the owner had parked his car by the front door under the awning and we had to ask him to move it so We could pull our vehicle up by the front door to load it.He had parked there the whole day prior also, like it was his personal parking space.  My grands did enjoy the pool. 

Go place else

The hotel is in a good location and OK for the most part. The room was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The only complain I had was the breakfast, which was honey buns and coffee. There were no other breakfast items available even though hot breakfast was mentioned on their website. We felt we didn't get a good value for money for the price we paid.

Average motel with bad breakfast

There were only a couple people staying here, but we weren’t able to get the 2 first floor rooms as requested. No cart to bring luggage in, and the pool was “closed due to Covid”. The soft drink machine was out of order and nothing is close by to get a drink easily.

The bare minimum motel

So if you are looking for a place to flop and get high then this place is for you. That is if you don't mind the spiderweb in the window the leftover menses stain on the toilet seat, the faux leather chair that was  peeling, the dirty refrigerator or the lack dusting for at least a week. The poor young man at the front desk tried to be helpful but when he called the owner (privately owned) not a chain hotel. I thought that the chain would have more concern with the product they allowed their badge in. Anyway the owner was not interested in accomdating non smokers in a different room without a 30 dollar up charge. The mistake was mine as I booked nonrefundable through choiceproperties site and did not notice it was a smoking room because I did not think they existed  Again steer clear unless your intent is smoking a couple of bowls and pounding beer and boones farm before passing out.

No judgement reviews just facts.
1) Pubic hair in the bath tub.
2) Pubic hair on the toilet.
3) old dried Urine splashes on the toilet rim
4) Mold in the bathroom.
5) Missing tiles in the BR
6)Thick dist on the bathroom
7) Hair on the sheets.
8) Hair and stains on the comforter.
9)  Debris, like M&Ms on the floor.
I do not recommend this hotel.
Go to Marion and one of the larger chains like Holiday Inn/Express or Hampton Inn.
Its a short drive but well worth the avoidance.  My SO and I both now have respiratory issues after our stays.  Could it be from somewhere else sure.  BUT, seems awfully coincidental.
I will be writing the company to get our money back.

Substandard

Reservations were wrong.  Request for first floor king not comprehended.  Had to pay $15 extra for two beds on first floor.  Hotel smelled of smoke but was apparently non smoking.  One room had spoiled food in the fridge and a large stain on the bedspread. Opened the microwave, caused the power to go out in the entire room - flipped a breaker down the hall.  Unplugged it.  Killed a spider in the bathroom.  Some kind of film on on the furniture.  Loose tiles in the bathroom.  Impossible to figure out how to get the bath faucet to convert to shower.  Message light lens missing from the phone.  Orange juice tasted like plastic.  Waffle batter empty.  Fruit Loops stale.  At $98 a night this is a rip off and is an embarassment to the town of Harrisburg.

Quite possibly the worst hotel I have every stayed in.

Room appeared clean and appeared to not have been a smoking room. After I got ready for bed I noticed the smoke detector had it’s battery removed and the longer I stayed in the room the room had a strange old odor. At 6am when I was preparing for my day and turned the water on in the bathroom there was no way to turn the shower head on. When I checked out, I told the young lady at the front desk about the issues and she was totally non caring. I travel for business and will think twice about choice hotels.

Disappointing

My husband and I stayed here for one night to be close to Garden of the Gods. We had a cabin rented for a few days but we wanted to get an early start. I was very nervous about going to this hotel based on reviews. I was pleasantly surprised. The owner checked us in and was friendly and accommodating. I almost always get irritated by noise but I didn’t hear anything while in our room. The pool was not working according to the guy in the morning, but I wasn’t planning on swimming anyway. I didn’t try breakfast but I did get 2 cups of coffee! If you just need a quick nights sleep, this isn’t glamorous but it does the job. 

Quick stay

We were just passing through on our way back to Kentucky, so just spent one night and had breakfast.  Evening staff person at the desk  -  well he was awesome.  He gave great information and we felt a good welcome from him.  Morning person was pushing for a trip advisor review - not so nice.
