There was one towel, nothing else. 1/2 roll tp-we had to ask for more and towels for both of us. There was a rusty towel dispenser open and empty by the sink. The carpet was dirty. Nonsmoking smelled of smoke. No coffee. Not worth it. Never again

Never again

I stayed here because I tried staying in Terre Haute but a lot of hotels there seemed trashy and overpriced.  This place had clean carpet in the room, king bed mattress was decently firm.  There is a small fridge and microwave.  Hot water was quick for the shower.  Cable TV had a nice selection of satellite channels.  WiFi was pretty fast around 30 Mbps.  Overall, I would stay here again because it was clean inside the room and quiet at night with reliable WiFi service as a nice perk!

Clean and quiet

This stay was bad from jump. We called back in September for a stay in October. Was told to call back around October 4th. Did just that and when we arrived after a long drive and a full day of walking. We were told they didn’t have reservations for us. Having the names of both people we talked to they came up with a room. Gave us a room with a king size bed. Told them that we needed 2 beds and was told they didn’t have one. While I was standing at the desk he took a phone call and made the person in the phone reservations for that night. I told him he needs to give me a room. He ended saying they then had one. We got to our room and it smelled just like mold. After looking in the bathroom, I knew why. I was full of black mold all over the bathroom. I will be notifying the health department as well. This place needs shut down. Don’t risk your help staying here.

Yes, the price is right.  Yes, there is breakfast - simple, but adequate:  the typical:  packaged muffins, yogurt, dry cereal, instant oatmeal,  coffee, tea.  The room appeared to be in stages of updating:  new carpet, mostly newly painted, new sink top,  The bed was too soft for me, but bedding was clean and new.  But many things still undone:  funky faucets on the sink and shower, old flooring in bathroom, dirty window, funky & noisy air conditioner, door trims and knobs needing to be updated, no security lock on the door. All rooms have exterior entrances.  Our non-smoking room smelled a bit like smoke, maybe because someone was smoking on the balcony outside our air conditioner intake.  Exterior needs TLC.  The first room we were given wasn't even made up and upon notifying the desk/manager, he was surprised and suspected a "squatter" using the room.  The whole place has potential to be better, but it's not there yet.  I'd suggest finding somewhere else for the night.

Small but nice. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Room was clean. Bathroom looked like it was having work done, some dry wall and needed to be painted but was otherwise clean.  AAA discount.  Can't beat the price

Nice, clean and a great price.

We are traveling cross country and were looking for a place to stay in Illinois.  Originally, we considered Terre Haute, but the budget motels there seemed a little on the pricey side, so I looked nearby and found the Relax Inn in Marshall.  Nice, clean, comfortable rooms with breakfast included for less than $75 including tax and fees.  What more can you ask?

A Deal!

This place did not match the recent reviews. We asked for a non-smoking room and the room we got smelled of stale smoke. It took a couple of rooms to get one that did not smell, but even the room we stayed in the bathroom had a strong cigarette smell. The room was very ran down and all of the metal in the room was rusted to include the shower. The bed was comfortable but the blanket and sheets had cigarette burns and were stained. The carpet looked fairly new but the room needed a good deep cleaning. This hotel is not worth what they charge.

This hotel doesn't match other reviews! 1st room heavy smoke smell! 2nd room bathroom smelled of smoke so bad refused to shower in there. Rusty faucets. Huge gap under door. But the bed was comfortable,  had burns in bedding & stains on sheets! Booked this room based on recent good reviews.

Dirty & outdated 

This privately owned motel was a pleasant surprise.  I chose it by accident, and was pleased by the cleanliness, and comfort of this affordable establishment.  It is an old-fashioned type of motel that allows you to park in front of your room, and that is convenient.  The owners were pleasant.

Stayed here on the way home. The room was clean and in good condition.  Flat screen TV. Friendly staff. Was in a quiet area.  They do allow pets. Lots of space to walk a dog. There is no pool here. Lots to eat close by.
