This place is a DUMP! DO NOT STAY HERE! How is it allowed to be open? Only booked because nothing else was available. Would feel safer and cleaner sleeping in my car! LOOKS LIKE A SEEDY MOTEL AND IS SO SKETCHY - THE PARKING LOT IS HORRBLE TOO! The good reviews for this place have to be fake because there is nothing good about this dump!!!!

STAY AWAY - DUMP/Sketchy/Seedy Motel

We stayed here out of exhaustion.  It was a bad choice.   The room smelled weird like it was a smoking room that was sprayed to cover it up.  There was a soap wrapper behind the door in bathroom, not clean.  The TV didn't work, I called the front desk with no answer, walked to the office, was given an additional remote.  It still didn't work.  I called the office for help, no answer again!  I walked back to office.  She was kind enough to walk down to check the TV.  The cable was disconnected.   She was able to get it working.  We found out why it was disconnected.   At 5 a.m. the TV came on by itself.  Startled, I turned it off.  A few minutes later it came back on.  This happened twice.  Finally we muted the TV, covered our heads and tried to go back to sleep.  

Do not stay here if you have another choice.

A detour off of I 57 led us to this motel Paxton inn in paxton its on exit #261  We found the motel clean, up to date and convenient on our trip from Florida to Wisconsin. If we travel that route again we will definitely stop there! Staff  help us lot.

The room was booked under booking.com. We only booked it because of the rewards.  After we paid for the room the manager started that we might get notified the room is canceled. Not to worry, it is a mistake.  My friend did get notified it was canceled. He called booking.com. The manager called and pretended to be my friend. He then canceled the room and put it back online. There were only a few people staying here.  Guess he was trying to get more business.  He cost us $50 from this little scam. Not happy at all. He has also refused to talk to the booking.com people.  His spouse (I assume) keeps saying he us busy.

A total crook

This was the only hotel/motel in the area while I was traveling. The place has great prices and is right by the interstate. I was surprised to see the room come with a microwave, fridge, and a TV. I had no problems here. Very quiet place even though it’s right by the interstate. 

Great local Motel 

This is a budget priced hotel ($47.50/nite) near a new, much more expensive hotel.  We decided to try it because we needed to stay 3 nights.  The owner was very friendly and told us to call him if we had any problems.  He helped get the cable tv up and running in our arrival.  Very quiet, but we were on the side away from the interstate.  Yes, it is an older motel.  Decor is dated.  King bed was very firm (too firm for me).  The room seemed clean (the carpet does have some stains).  The HVAC unit was a bit noisy going on and off at night, but that's not uncommon in motels/hotels.  Refrig and microwave in room.  Country Gardens restaurant next door with hearty breakfasts.  Wifi worked.  All in all, I'll stay here again.

Better than expected

I been in Paxton for one week and I stay in this motel was very good location price is good as well and room was very clean  and tidy highly recommend and staff was very helpful all ways available to help
