My son stayed at Palamar for aboutt a month   First thing I noticed when I went to visit him was the bed was broken . I told him first thing he needed to do was ask  for a acceptable bed to sleep in . Management fixed that problem  , but he should  not ha've had to ask for a unbroken bed! Various lights in room didn't work   . Outlet sticking out of wall . Not a nice smelling place ! Worse of all horrible black mold on ceiling of bathroom ! He spent money on vending machines that didn't work . When he spoke to lady in charge he was told he was told all he did was complain . Do not stay at Palamar . It needs to be closed and tore down !

Garbage Motel

I hoped that due to the comments at Booking.com I would give it a try, as it was cheap. The room was disappointing. It had a bad smell, when we entered (the air conditioning sort of fixed it), the bed covers had cigarette burns in it (we asked for a non-smoking room!), we had towels but no soap or shampoo, no hair dryer. If you tour Route 66 and get stuck in Pontiac, perhaps look for other options.

You get what you pay for.

Well used to be a good hotel, but gone down hill since last year, they don't understand what service means, foods gone to rock bottom to say the least, cheap and very basic food , the whole hotel needs a good clean and a coat of paint

Basic and poor service

This place was famous as  Route 66 roadhouse in years back. Today it is crumbling and a real dump. There was no one in charge there and I drove on down old Route 66. Look but do nor stay here!
There are plenty of cheap and clean motels in Pontiac along the interstate.

A sad dump

Good price. It is not a romantic place but it covers all the needs. We just needed a place to spend the night and it worked. The heater wasn't very warmer nor quieter.
The location is OK, it is easy to find. You can park in front of the room.

Convenient

The Palamar hotel is a nice place to stay if your are on a very tight budget.The rates are very affordable. It is also close to the mueseums and parks in the area. It is also close to shopping.It is a historical landmark. It is currently going through renovations.
