Do not stay here they want you to pay in cash. I tried to give them cash they didn’t have change they said will give it to you later that made no sense. It’s a business you should have cash if a customer brings in $100 bill they refuse to let me pay with my card to check in early they want to cash for that. I said I don’t have more cash I’ll just use my card. They refused to let me use my card. I’m pretty sure they were just trying to pocket my early check-in fee. That’s why they wanted cash they looked like they do drugs bunch of missing teeth. A lot of weird people just hanging around that look like they do drugs overall, I did not stay there , I’ll have to fight to get my money back from the bank

Black mold in rooms 128  and 130. He kicked a bunch of people out and all he is concerned about is the Mexicans who are coming to work fields. His plan was to get rid of the whites and the blacks.  He is being shut down.   He is a racist against homeless people.  Beware he will kick you out within week

Don't go there

This was the worst hotel I have ever set foot in. When my friend and I arrived, we immediately felt uneasy as the entire entryway to get into the building and to our room was covered in dirty laundry, broken bottles, old shoes, socks and underwear strewn everywhere. And on top of that there was a group of men who were gathered and sitting in chairs outside and appeared to be hosing off laundry. Upon entering our room we saw that the men gathered outside were directly in front of our window with their belongings on the window ledge making it feel unsafe to open the window to get relief from the absolute stench of smoke. We tried turning on the lamps since we couldn’t open the curtains, and literally none of them worked. We expected the overall dirty and stained room, but we were not prepared for the state of the bathtub, shower, and shower curtain. It was beyond disgusting. We were there for maybe 15 minutes & decided to leave because ultimately we didn’t feel safe at all. The worker at the front desk told us he couldn’t approve a refund and to call Bob after 5pm. We did and he was extremely rude with us and refused to give any kind of refund or even apology. He also accused us of using the room and lying to get a refund since we called “so late” instead of right when it happened. He did not care that the other worker specifically told us to wait until 5pm. I’ve stayed in some sketchy hotels, but this was BY FAR the worst! ZERO STARS!

Do NOT go here!!!! Appalling!!!!

The room itself was clean. However the back entrance was littered with garbage. The back door entrance wasn't locked. No real clear direction on which door to enter to get to the rooms.  The foyer smelled horrible of cigarettes. The room smelled like cigarettes even tho it is a non smoking hotel. Even the bedding had a slight odd unpleasant odor. 
The blanket was covered in black hairs and stained. The curtains were falling off the rid as well. 
Nothing was plugged in. When I went to plug in a side lamp, the cord had been rewired together and left exposed. The mattress wouldn't stay in the bed and sliding off. I had no choice but to stay since my room was nonrefundable. I paid $67 for the room.

Not Worth The Stay

I used to be a travelling musician.  I've stayed in a lot of cheap motels and hotels over the years.
Hotel Magnuson in Dixon was the worst - by a lot.  Most places, even the cheap dives, at least make an effort - not here.
There were no working lights in the parking lot, or by the entrance doors.  Pitch dark.  Fortunately, the entry door was broken, and stuck open, so I didn't need to see the lock to get in...  The hallway lights were dim or burnt out, giving the entire hallway the feel of a dungeon.  The only bit of "cheer" visible in the hallway was a container of dusty plastic ferns left from the early eighties.  

Friends, I'm 54 years old. This is the first hotel room I've ever been in where I felt dirtier for walking through the door. 
There was a dirty hand towel on the floor behind the nightstand. The toilet wasn't cleaned. The clock radio was broken. The light fixture had bare, exposed wires. Several bulbs in the room were missing or burnt out. The ones that did work were yellow. The "clean" towels looked like they had been waiting there for a very long time.  The room smelled slightly of mildew, but only slightly.. (more on that later) 

I was in the Executive King room... A king bed, a sofa, a table, chairs..  
I went to the front desk and asked for a replacement clock radio, and mentioned the bare wiring.  After nearly an hour, checking several locations, I was finally awarded a different clock radio, and the maintenance guy fixed the wires on the light fixture. He also bent the plug a little, so it would stay in the broken outlet. I asked for replacement light bulbs, but there weren't any available. In a hotel.  No spare light bulbs IN A HOTEL.    
I was exhausted, so I stopped thinking about it and went to sleep.
The next morning, I asked the hotel manager about housekeeping service, and if I could get some clean towels.  I was told that, because of Covid 19, they don't ever enter the rooms until after a guest leaves. They also don't serve breakfast, or coffee..  but no one is concerned enough to wear a mask.  I was told if I wanted clean towels, I had to put my dirty ones in a bag and leave them in the hallway, and they would replace them later.  So, I went back to my room, bagged up all the crunchy towels, and put them in the hallway, and left for the day.  
After conducting my business in town, I went back that evening (I stopped to buy my own lightbulbs on the way.  I had to buy my own lightbulbs.  In a hotel.) Pulled into the pitch black parking lot, with no lights, and found my way back to my dimly lit room.  I changed the lightbulbs. I realized why it had been left so dimly lit...  
So remember the slight mildew smell?  As it turns out, the sofa was a hide a bed.  I opened it up, and it had sheets on it.  I think they may have been clean when they were put on... But there's no telling how long ago that might have been. I also think they may have been damp.  The hide a bed smelled of mildew and.. pee?  Mice?  Not quite sure.  I stripped off those sheets, opened the window, and aired out the room for a while - and put the sheets in the hall.  I looked around more. Wallpaper held up with staples. Curtain rod held up by wallpaper. Stains on everything. Mold on the bathroom door. Heavily corroded shower head. Mold around the base of the toilet. Mildew on the shower curtain. Then I looked at my bed..  You know those tags on mattresses?  My mattress and box springs were dated 1998. My mattress was 22 ½ years old. Older than my two children combined. The mattress predated cell phones, wifi, and cable internet access.  Cassette tapes were still popular.  Almost a quarter of a century. The mattress was old enough to legally go out and buy it's own beer. 
I looked under the bed. I think I was the first one to do that in a very very long time.  Certainly no vacuum cleaner had seen that space in years...  The dust probably started gathering there when the mattress was still only an adolescent.
There was a food wrapper, a plastic army guy, and a couple dead bugs.  
I shoved the hide a bed closer to the window, covered over the mattress again, and rolled the bed away from the wall.  There was plaster chunks from some long ago damage and repair, dust, a couple of dead bugs, dust, tags from someone else's new Harley Davidson outfit, and dust.  
Oh - I forgot to mention that I had to fix one of the bathroom light fixtures when I replaced the bulbs...  It was hanging from the wires. 
I finally had to give up and go to sleep.  
When I showered the next day, (I had to ask for more soap. And Kleenex. And toilet paper.) I laid towels on the floor and dressed in the bathroom rather than actually walk through the room to get dressed.  I stripped off all of the sheets, blanket, pillow covers, mattress pad, everything, and tossed it in the hall.  I had gotten mold and grime and mildew on a couple of the towels, and left those visible in the (now well lit) bathroom, and went to check out - no one at the front desk, so I left my key card the bag of empty light bulb boxes on the front counter and got out of there.

The management at this hotel should be ashamed of the condition.  Several people in town told me it used to be a nice place - but the complete lack of care or effort by the management has left this place a horror.  I understand not having a big budget, but failing to vacuum under the bed isn't a budget problem. Lightbulbs just aren't that expensive. In the end, the Management's laziness and apathy has cost them far, far more.

Run Awaay

My family and I stayed for the weekend for the holidays. The owner and the front desk girl were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Yes they are a little outdated but as I could see they are updating. When I'm in the area again I will be rebooking with them.

Family friendly

The first room had a perimeter of mold along the ceiling wall. The floor under the bed was filthy. The plumbing was dirty and the sink faucet ran a stream of water. The heat had to be either on or off. The sheets were thin and stained. The bedspread was very thin. There are not coffee makers in each room. The continental breakfast consisted of juice and milk in styrofoam cups, yogurt, wrapped muffins, and cereal in plastic containers. We had to wake up the owner at 7:30 for any food the first morning. It was after 8 AM the other days. Breakfast hours are 7-9. I wanted to cancel my last night, but owner refused to refund my money. He locked my husband and me out of our room because we had brought a dog in. I had to pay him at 2:00 am before he would give us a key to get in. When we went inside there was a gummie bear on the floor. Housekeeping did not go in there, but someone else did.

Filthy rooms

The hotel lobby was dirty and messy.  The first room to which I was taken smelled musty and of mildew.  The room in which I stayed one night didn't smell, but it was filthy.  There was crud caked on all of the bathroom fixtures, a dirty toilet, grime on the coffee maker, and peeling wallpaper.  When I walked out in the morning, the owner made excuses for the condition of the room.  I did not request a refund because I figured that the owner had already shown that he was non-responsive to concerns.  I have pictures which I will post.

This place accepted an online booking and then, the following day, cancelled it because they claimed they were overbooked. Several days later, they sent me a request to review my stay, thanking me for the opportunity to be my host. Sorry, that will never happen.

Booking Hell

We decided to stop at the last minute and chose this hotel because of the price of $55. Unfortunately we didn't check the reviews. We had room 206. The green carpet was stained which didn't give us a good impression as we first entered. The room was warm when we entered so I went to turn on the air conditioning unit. I was shocked how dirty it was and didn't want to put it afraid of what would blow out. But it was warm so we chanced it. The unit worked. The TV didn't turn on so my husband had to move the dresser to find 1 side of the outlet didn't work and we saw the dirt behind it as well as behind the nightstand. The bed was well made, but you could tell the sheets were well used since they were thin. Needless to say I didn't sleep well. You can see stains on the walls as well that could easily be wiped down to make the place look cleaner. I then checked the bathroom. The tub was old and stained. I knew I wasn't going to shower in it. They also didn't give the internet pass for us to use. I hope to save someone else a stay here until they update it.
