The room smelt musty, like it hadn’t had fresh air for a while. Decided not to stay there since we have allergies. Owner tried to give us a different room but it was only one bed instead of two. Didn’t get a refund, but feel like we should have due to the condition we found the room in.

Wouldn’t stay here

18 Years of traveling during week with work and this is place is as bad as it gets. owners that do not know English and will help with nothing.. very overpriced, no room service, door didn't even lock at all. Owners don't care and just want your money. #1 place iv'e ever said to stay away from and this is 18 years of traveling.

Stay Away

I’m giving this motel 5 stars because for an ECONOMY priced motel (which is what it clearly is if you do your due diligence in researching) it deserves 5 stars.  The owners are wonderfully accommodating and hospitable.  It is clean and has everything you need to be comfortable and safe for a night’s sleep.  To be completely honest, there is a train near by which we didn’t hear at all our 1st night, but did hear in the middle of the night the 2nd night, so I am not sure of the schedule and if this is normal.  I still believe this motel is a great place for the price. 

Great value 

When we booked this motel we were not aware that it was actually the wrong motel where the rest of our group was staying so we had to cancel pour reservation with Liberty Motel. While there was some confusion for a little while about our canceling of our reservation and getting our initial room deposit back the manager Danny was very quick to get it resolved and took great care of the matter. Thank you Danny!

We had to cancel our stay due to a locate error when booking

We were looking for a motel for a weekend getaway, we did an online reservation with this motel. We discovered that this motel was over 40 miles from where we were going to need to be so we canceled the reservation. We stopped by the motel on the way to our destination to make sure it was canceled as it required our credit card as part of the reservation. The man who spoke with us had very broken English and kept insisting that our reservation was canceled as per our request. I told him I hoped so as we never even got a confirmation E-mail stating that our reservation was even successful nor did we get one stating that it was canceled. We went on our way to the motel we actually needed to be at. We hadn't been there no more than 30 minutes and my phone rang and it was the same guy from Liberty motel stating that he had our room ready. I said what room we were just there not more than an hour ago and you assured us that the room reservation had been canceled two days earlier. He apologized. Move forward to this past Monday checked our bank statement to find that our reservation was never canceled and they charged to my bank account a two day stay for $157.00 that we never got. When we contacted the motel he started yelling at us telling us that it was Expedia that was to blame and that we had to contact them for a refund Contacted Expedia and they said no that it was Liberty motel that has to issue the refund that they submitted our cancellation notice on the Wednesday 2 whole days before we were supposed to stay there. So now both Expedia and us are trying to get this jerk to refund our money. Our bank has tagged them with a fraud alert and we are beginning the legal process of recovering our money. As far as the motel, it is right downtown liberty and has nothing to offer.

False advertisement, they are crooks

I was staying in the hotels based on the best reviews. Liberty motel one of them. Liberty motel located in one of the zero crimes area of usa. Closed to beautiful brookville Lake. Firstly i was impressed by reception couple. This couple was very friendly and extremely helpful. They were abortion arranged everything. Room was very clean ,very comfortable bed wat and clean bathrooms. Big size refrigerator and microwave. Flat screen tv good picture very clear with HD

Really nice place to stay around the area. The price was worth it with all the amenities. 
I would defiantly recommend this place to other people if you around the area and looking for place to stay !!

Nice and Cozy place

Most helpful and friendly receptionist ever, so lovely and great impression of room. I was attending with smiling face even my early check in , because I  have to attend conference in Miami University,Ohio 15 minutes drive from motel.
I d'not give praise lightly. It was neat and clean room with well equipped and comfortable room, uninterrupted hot water shower, great value for money and service.
I would have left with good impression everything about motel was exceptional.
I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for longer visit in next summer for Whitewater State Park and Brookville Lake

Nice Place to Stay

We went up to Indiana for a funeral and needed a room to stay in for 1 night. So we found this motel since there wasn't many places to choose from. We get in the room and it looks decent (what you would expect for a motel with only 6 or 7 rooms). The room actually smelled very good but that was because there was air fresheners everywhere! We stayed in room 4 and everything was going good until 2am. I woke up itching like crazy on my hands and arms. So I jump up and run to the bathroom to find myself covered in bedbug bites. I grab my flash light on my phone and flip the lights on and in the bed I find several bedbugs. I immediately kill them. I start panicking, try to get the office people to answer their phone and they wouldn't, I rang their door bell and banged on the office door but still no one. So I took pictures of everything for proof. This is a nasty place and I would never stay there ever again even if I had to sleep in my car! Avoid this place!
