What began as a classic Motel 6 mistake ended in a night of bliss. Allow me to guide you through the adventure a group of friends, fans, and financially conscious folks embarked on that culminated in a restful night at the Economy Inn. The Economy Inn in Lafayette Indiana is located at the intersection of luxury and affordability. Upon arrival, you will be greeted with the keys to the palace. For a low price of just a few dollars you will gain access to a room with all of the comforts of home. Before your night out, take a minute to take a luxurious shower, indulge in a power nap, or wash your hands in the sink. After my friends and I mingled with our neighbors, we were ready to hit the town. The Economy Inn is located close to all of the attractions of Lafayette, Indiana, such as West Lafayette, Indiana. We ubered to a football game between trains and lions. We rooted for the trains. However, the trains lost. You might think the night was ruined. You would be wrong. You can never lose when you stay at the Economy Inn. By 2:30 AM, we could not stay away from the Economy Inn any longer. It was pulling us back into its arms. And good thing it was. As you can imagine, many of us were not coherent at 2:30 AM. Thankfully, the building was still there (You never know if it’ll still be there). While the Economy Inn provides complimentary pillows, you can also use your shoe as a pillow. One of our friends did that. You can also sleep on the floor if desired. That same friend did that too. Unfortunately, morning came all too early. However, you can ask for a checkout very easily by sleeping in too late. You will be greeted in the morning with a lovely shower and working sink. Perhaps the best surprise is when you see your credit card bill and wonder how you got such an amazing experience for such a low price. Thank you, Economy Inn.

Economical

We were for a decent place to stay in Lafayette. The facilities were fine and we had a pleasant stay. We will definitely consider this hotel on our next trip, and would recommend it to anyone else looking to stay in the area.

Nice place to stay for the money

Much better than expected,  still just an average motel, but room had new metal door with deadbolt inside room.  Sheets and towels were clean.   Probably 42" new flat-screen tv with xfinity.  No kleenex or hairdryer, but did have shampoo and soap.  Of course no free breakfast or swimming pool,  but if you need a clean bed for the night, not going to beat the price.  Would definitely stay here again for an overnight.

Better than expected 

I would strongly suggest to others reading this that they only stay at this hotel if all the credible chain hotels are booked. I am sure this does happen during major Purdue sporting events but for $78 per night on a random day in April you are far better off spending a little more and staying elsewhere. This property has to be at least 60 years old and it shows it!

An absolute last resort option.

This was the only place that had rooms, so our choices were limited.

I expect more for $70/ night.  Rooms were clean, but: no hairdryer, no deadbolt on door, burn mark in sheet.

Rooms were sizeable, but I would not return if I had the choice.

Not the worst, but not the best either

Horrible hotel, even worse customer service. Don't waste your time or money on this flea-motel.  Dirty, the building and grounds are old and run-down, and it's in an unsafe area. Worse yet, it's expensive compared to the dump that it is.

Don't even think about staying here.

There are no dead bolt locks or door chain locks that can be locked from the inside only. If the inn staff wanted to open your door they could. On a weekend in which there was no vacancies in every motel and hotel in Lafayette/West Lafayette, there was only one other car in this parking lot. The outside of this inn looks run-down. It feels like a halfway house. The county jail is located just up the road from this inn.
