Booked 3 nights. The first night the room ac & Heat were not working.  I spoke to the attendant on duty and she agreed to refund the first night and fix the ac the next day. The then refused to honor the refund when contacted by hotels.com.  Refrigerator was not working properly. Room was very dusty and the comforter had red stains on it. Will not stay with Sonesta again.

Many issues with the room. Improvements needed.

The hotel was clean. The receptionist was pleasant. The whirlpool was warm. The receptionist was unfamiliar with the area and could not recommend a restaurant to us. She did give us a list of restaurants in the area though.

Nice place

We had every intention of enjoying our weekend for our boys Lacrosse tournament about 30 minutes prior to our arrival we received notification via Orbitz that the hotel cancelled our reservation.   Called to speak with Front Desk Manager was told she was busy and it would be awhile I held for 10 minutes no one ever came back on the line.   I called back and spoke with Sabrina Front Office Manager to see what could be done as we had planned for this for over 2 months and selected this hotel based on recommendations/locations/reviews.  Unfortunately, after pleading to see what could be done Sabrina told me she had about 5 people waiting she was the only one their and hung up on me.  This hotel seems to be under staffed and customer service is not of the utmost importance.  Highly disappointed will not look to book with Sonesta Carmel again.

Appalled at lack of customer service/empathy did not care to listen to why we wanted to stay at this property.

Damon was a gem. He was very personable and welcoming. All in all, it was a very good experience. The hotel was very clean and smelled pleasant. The shower pressure was excellent! Honestly one of the best showers that I've had! 

A welcoming place for a  weary traveler!

Will NEVER stay at a Sunesta Select. Be aware, there is no housekeeping. You put your towels out your door and retrieve what you need from the front desk, only if a front desk person happens to be there. The high speed internet is very slow. Flat screens are old. We only had one comfortable chair in the room to sit on besides a desk chair. Refrigerator is so small you can barely get anything into it. Only Starbucks coffee and pastry available 6am to 10am for $5. Coffee was no good. Fine print in the handout you are given when you arrive says you are charged $5/day for parking. 
The only saving grace was a pool our grandson enjoyed. If we had a 4th person in our room, we would be crawling over each other. Oh, did I mention the toilets are so low to the ground, they are more appropriate for a daycare center. Don't waste your money. Go elsewhere.

Worst experience. Do not stay here.

This was our fourth time staying here. Accommodations are very nice and clean. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful. We always ask for an inside room. Beds are always comfortable. If you get a king size bed the room has a very cozy little sofa. Free WiFi. They have a small cafe but it’s not free. Highly recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel

Great hidden gem. Hot tub, indoor pool, Starbucks. Whole place was clean and comfortable. All the staff was friendly. We will definitely be back, and with family. We had an issue with the heat in our room and the moved and upgraded us, no problem.

Hidden Gem

Cleanliness was poor!  I went to Carmel for a medical procedure and stayed at Sonesta for the proximity.  I got in from out of town and checked in around 8p.m.  I went to the room and went through the whole turn lights on and check it out.  When I walked into the bathroom I seen in the corner was a cockroach!.  I debated on if I leave and find another place to stay or diffrnent room.  Seeing the circumstances of why I was there in the first place I went down to get a new room.  They did put me in a new room with no questions asked.  By  this time I was already feeling uncomfortable.  Went to the new room and did the same walk through.  The cushion on the couch was on backwards and I didnt want to touch it,  Went to the bathroom and there was tissue in the toilet, hair left all over the corner in the floor and bathtub/shower along with dried water spots.  It was clear that they didnt clean the room as should be and just refreshed it!.  i coulnt get home fast enough after staying there.  I will avoid staying at any other Sonesta location for noe on!!

Cleanliness

My stay at Sonesta was a very pleasant one. The staff, particularly Chris, went above and beyond to make my stay there very enjoyable. Beth also was great to work with while checking in and out.  The customer service sets Sonesta a part from the competition.

Amazing customer service

Clean and comfortable room.  No food service available (still some covid issues).   Pool and workout area was clean too.   Quiet area on the weekends with all the surrounding offices closed.  Convenient to US 31 access.
