Carol at the front desk was amazing from the time I picked up the phone in Dallas to inquire about the rooms.  She answered all my questions.  Check in was a breeze and the room was exactly as advertised, and clean!  Carol rushed a new tv cord up within 15 minutes of my calling the front desk, what a champ!  I have already recommended this place to two of my family members.

Great place to perch for awhile

Nothing as advertised. No dishes . No pots pans or silverware. I had to go buy all of the above and a hair dryer . Smells like marijauna . No staff on site . Dingy disgusting. No hangers … not an extended stay at all . Doors open when advertised as locked .

This hotel was the worst ever. Every night at 1:30am the smoke alarm would go off for 1 minute and wake  you up.   There was NEVER a person at the counter, you could NOT even check out.  The phone on the wall did NOT work to call someone.   You were ONLY allowed 2 towels for the room !!!  NEVER saw a cleaning person EVER !!!!

I thought I was in the BATES HOTEL half the time!!!!!

TERRIBLE

I’ve only been here 4 days but my husband was here two weeks.  The hotel was nice and quiet I didn’t even need to wear ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones.  I never met the staff but they do come around and leave notes on your door when housekeeping is coming the next day which is a great idea.

Great Stay

This felt like a combination of hotel and an apartment stay.  I expected a standard hotel however when arrived at 10 pm at night (booked on line) and just happen to get lucky someone was at the front counter (they had a slide up door at the front counter). The attendant want a copy of my credit card even though I paid online and before going to our room said it was $50 charge if we didn't take our own trash out. I asked about a maid service and he said they don't have it on the weekends.  He asked if we needed more than 2 towels since the office hours were closed at the times we would be gone. I told him yes since we had 4 people when I registered.  Everyone seemed friendly enough however it was an odd experiencing since I didn't realize this was there business model OR the manager was saving cost.  We were spending much time at the hotel so we didn't care much since it was only $99 per night however I think we could have had full service at the same price from a regular hotel. If you just need a cheap place to crash this would be OK.  The TV was small and the mattresses were spring however the WIFI was great, the hotel was newer and they had a stove, full refrigerator, etc.

I expected a hotel

The kitchenette is not stocked with ANY kitchenware. Apparently, you have to bring your own. Who wants to pack pots, pans and kitchen utensils for a four day stay? It's very inconvenient. And nowhere in the description of the suite did it say kitchen supplies are not fully stocked. This is first suite that we have stayed in doesn't include basic kitchen supplies.

Loud traffic and lots of engine breaking from the constant flow of trucks. The vending machine will rob you and no one will reimburse you. The place is clean and cheap, but boy, the trucks on the freeway are loud.

If I could give fewer than zero stars, I would give this business a negative ten.
I cannot begin to describe how poorly run this place is and how horribly I was treated.
It is a bare-bones "suite" hotel, and for the price I was willing to haul all the cooking and eating utensils I would need all the way from California.  I brought my own dish soap and toaster oven since the "kitchen consists of a sink two burners and a refrigerator.  I was glad I called to check about the kitchen supplies because it was not obvious I would need them when I made the reservations.
I had an email from the company confirming my reservation from July 30, 2018 through August 9, 2018 for $399.95.
When I arrived, I was told by Joe (his name is important) that his computer only shows reservation through August 6,2018.  I showed him my email on my phone, which he acknowledged, but he would not guarantee my correct reservation.  First he told me that He could let me out of my reservation and I could go somewhere else, knowing full-well that most of Des Moines was booked for the AAU track and field national competitions.  When I told him I couldn't afford to do that, He told me I would be staying in room 104, but I didn't not check in right away.  I went to dinner with family and when I came back I decided to check in, in spite of the fact he still would not guarantee my correct reservation through the ninth. 
When I returned another man was at the desk and tells me I will be in Room 426, which is a smoking room on the smoking floor.  When I tell him that this is unacceptable, he gets Joe who proceeds to tell me basically like it or lump it.  Since I didn't check in earlier I lost my room and this is the last room available.  What could I do? (The next day I called customer relations at corporate and they told me that my reservation was changed at the hotel site and that the hotel will honor my original reservation)
I bring the bare minimum of stuff up, including food for breakfast, put that in the refrigerator and make the best of my night.
The next morning I am awakened at 7:00 am by sawing and banging in the room next door.  I also find out that while my freezer is working, the refrigerator is not working so my food has spoiled.
When I report this to Joe, he acts surprised and says he will talk to the maintenance guy.  When I get back that afternoon, the refrigerator is still warm but I am told that it should cool off and work now.  I go downstairs to get ice for my ice chest to keep my food until the fridge is cold and get informed they don't have an ice machine.  Joe tells me, and I quote," you can't win can you?"
Long story short on the fridge, it cools off slightly overnight so I put my food into it only to discover it has stopped cooling again so I lose more food to spoilage.  Over $100 worth of groceries are lost.  Now we are 4 days into my stay,  I ask for a working refrigerator, explain about my losses and Joe tells me he is trying to figure it out.  He has a working fridge in the room next door and I tell him I am all unpacked and moved in.  Can't we just switch the refrigerator?  He tells me no.  And there's nothing he can do.  I decide to give in and move since I still had 6 days to get through.
Mind you, there are other issues with the hotel such as the elevator was running slow and assumedly hot since they had the door to the workings open with fans blowing on it.
I also heard a guest complain that he could not control his a/c except by unplugging and plugging it and Joe did not give him any sympathy or suggestions.
They had one ironing board and no iron, but luckily I had brought my own iron.
The coupe de grace was at check out when the other fellow checked the computer and told me I didn't ow anything (I was originally only charged for the first 7 days) and he didn't offer me a print out so I, like a naive person, assumed they were going to let me have three days free to compensate for the food and inconvenience, I checked my bank account and saw that I was wrong, so when I went in to complain again, the guy got Joe who proceeded to tell me they didn't have to inform me they were going to charge my account.  I said that's fine but who do I talk to for compensation and he told me not him.  So I asked for a name and number which he didn't respond to.  He just kept repeating himself that the charges were valid etc etc to the point I allowed myself to be provoked into raising my voice.  I yelled at Home to stop saying that(he was repeating himself and not answering me.)
He then proceeds to tell me to leave or he will call the police.  And I better get out of the parking lot as well.
I have NEVER been threatened in such a manner.  I have never been arrested, detained or had any kind of negative encounter with law enforcement.  I dislike conflict so much I will go out of my way to avoid it. So for me to feel so powerless and provoked that I raise my voice...
Joe should be ashamed of himself.
I have called corporate customer relations and lined it all out for them.  They "investigated " (asked joe) and determine that I will not be compensated.  No one has apologized for the poor treatment and the subpar accommodations and service.
I read a couple of recent reviews on Trip Advisor that echo my experience on certain levels and that name Joe as well.
I am beyond disgusted.  My nerves are shot.  I have been crying off and on for almost a week now.
