this place was nasty and the management was rude.  everything was in a bad state of repair including their sign outside.  the breakfast was a joke.  there were two slices of bread and one black banana at 7am.  No attendant was seen in the morning.  
For $168 a night I felt greatly overcharged.  Never again!  Drive to another town.

Grossly over priced and dirty

Nice hotel. Very clean and had everything we needed.  Nice front desk. I left my briefcase in my room and Sonny took care of mailing it to me. He was a lifesaver!  Over all a good value for the money!

Good place to stay on your travels.

Over-all, this location is somewhat ran down compared to years past. It's obvious this is to keep more $ in the owner's pocket. Not American owned/operated. I think the owner's family lives on the second floor. There was loud footsteps most evenings. Some rooms had "permanent" residents. There was a truck parked out back with the cab crammed full of stuff that was there during out entire stay. Wooden chairs etc. sitting in a nook near the dumpster which is. evidence of people living in the rooms long-term. 

It's Being Let Go

I am in bed in this hotel now not able to sleep through the awful racket the heater is making. The stairs of this hotel are the dirtiest things I've ever seen and the toilet seat is not anchored so it slides all around. Yuck. It may be cheap but it is the bare minimum. It also has a very strong perfume smell that seems to be masking something.

Booked stay in advance.  Showed up for stay and was told their system was down and they couldn’t accommodate us.   Did not take down our information.  Was told go to another hotel.   Now they will not refund me for the stay.

This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in.  The first room they gave us the heat was not working in and was disgusting. We were moved to another room which was better then the first but still very dirty.

I've been staying here since the hotel originally opened. The place just needs a deep clean, paint.
The owners are great service is always 
Courteous and prompt.
Breakfast could be better but what they provide is quite adequate.
We will continue to stay here.

Bi annual stay

The hotel is old and outdated. The sheets were threadbare with holes. There were stains on the walls and on the lampshades. I personally wiped the filth off one of the walls.  Chair had holes and the reclining mechanism was gone. Bedside lamp flickered uncontrollably. Only good thing was the Staff was wonderful.  

Not at all satisfactory

Average amenities and decent breakfast.  Good location. Rooms are clean. Easy check in.  Pet friendly ($15 for  a dog).  We would stay here again because it is close to family.  People who go to the Casino might fined this a good deal.

Nice stay

At $78.00 p/night in the middle of a small town in Iowa, I expected a much better experience. Complementary breakfast is an afterthought. It could easily be rectified with a broader assortment of hot menus items, better presentation and allowing guests to take food back to their room. Hotel smells like smoke which for non-smokers is unacceptable.
