Older family run motel but spotlessly clean  things were a little older but ok. The host was wonderfully accomodating. Will stay there on our way back home. This was our first time traveling with our pup. Most places wanted every cent we owned plus our first born to bri g out dog in.

Hidden Gem

It was a great place. The room was very nice and plenty of room. The hosts are taking very care of the whole place. For an older building they have put in a lot of work. I'm sure it is going to be are go to on future trips to the area. We left a pillow but that's no big deal.

Awesome place

The front desk staff was nice. The hotel room itself was incredibly run down and gross. Stains everywhere and overwhelming smell of musty moldy and carpet fresh trying to cover it up. The bed had a good amount of hairs that were not mine in it, the bathroom door couldnt shut, the window was painted over the glass, the tiles in the tub were cracked and the tub was stained. Both chairs in the room were stained and really gross. The TV came in all grainy and bad quality picture. The mirror was chipped and had a soap dispenser from the 80's attached to the wall and thats the only soap you get. Dust on everything and the coat rack was rusty. The fridge was disgusting and unplugged so wasnt cold for us to use. Very cold in the room had to go out and get my sleeping bag. The dropped ceiling tiles were worped. I mean its $50 a night so what else do you expect but overall totally yuck. Go to one of the other hotels close to that area and pay the $20 more. Seriously.

Gross

I was in Iron Mountain for a couple of days for work and just needed a place to sleep.  This place got the job done and I'm planning to stay there again in a month. It is an older motel type of property.  I haven't stayed in one in a really long time and found it refreshingly easy to park 4 steps outside the door to my room.  The room had older decor, but everything worked and was clean. The shower had good pressure. The bed was comfortable.  There is coffee in the office in the morning staring at 6:30 and the owner offered a coffee maker for my room if I wanted it.  The couple who own it are very helpful and friendly. It isn't fancy or luxury, but will stay there again for work next month.

Planning to stay again!

A last minute stay near-ish Apostle Islands.  Was hoping for the best and it was delivered.  Clean, comfortable quiet  - and  larger than most - room.  If I am in the area again I would stay here.  Easy check in/out.  Made for a stress-free stay.

Comfortable stay large room

Stayed over the July 4th weekend on a motor cycle road trip with my wife. Great place for a stop for us.  Just about every other place around was $250 or more for a one night stay- I didn’t want to make a downpayment on the place- just stay the night. This motel for our needs perfectly. Old style motor inn, where you park in front of your room, just the way I like it. The room was clean and comfortable. The inn keeper is very personable.  Is it fancy?  N be ope. Does it give you what you need for a nights stay?  Absolutely! So, if you need fancy- get out your wallet and make a downpayment on one of the other chain motels in town.  We stayed for about $75 bucks and in no way regret it.

Clean and comfortable

I always stay cheap, and it doesn't always lead to a great result. This hotel was far cheaper than everything else in town on a Saturday night in peak tourist season, and was a screaming deal. Very clean, quiet,  and had all the needed amenities. No complaints from my wife, and she can be rather picky on cleanliness. Owner is a very kind friendly person. Took care of everything. Room has been updated very well. Yes, It looks a little dated outside, but even the parking lot is clean. Right on the main road, easy to find. Short drive to all shopping and attractions in town. I got a king room, and had plenty of space, not cramped at all. Bed is comfy. Lots of TV channels. Micro and fridge. Plenty of outlets to plug everything in. Definitely the best value in town. I'm glad I didn't spend extra money just to get fancy landscaping outside. This is a great stay for the low price.

Excellent value!

I booked this place based on raving reviews, and it definitely lived up to the expectations.  I was looking for a place to stay during my motorcycle trip across the UP Michigan, and this was perfect.   Super clean place, comfortable beds and friendly hosts that went above and beyond in accommodating a request I had.  Well maintained property, and you can tell they've been making upgrades over time.  Good price.  Highly recommend.

Clean Comfortable Place, Friendly Service

This is a great place for the money I made my reservation the owners were very helpful check in was very easy they explained how to access the snowmobile trail which was a block away the room were clean and comfortable it’s hard to beat there price you can pay double at some of the other places in town and your just paying for a name

Clean and comfortable at good price

Was a little concerned being that the price so reasonable, but when checking room out found it to be super clean!! Little out dated but it was everything that we needed for a nights stay. Talked with owner in the morning and he was very friendly and had a great conversation with him, really seems to take pride in his place! Great place!
