Don't count on making a reservation, and these people keeping their word.  They have no idea how to operate a hotel.  Problems galore.  No chair for the desk.  None of the lamps work because the switches are broken.  TV remote doesn't work.  2" to 3" gaps under the door.  And it's in a horrible, high crime location.   I will NEVER stay here again.  Not to mention the place is full of low lifes.

Totally disorganized

I'd rate this place below zero if I could! I had a terrible experience. I called ahead and booked a room with 1 bed. When I got there, I was informed that the only room available did not have a tv & had two beds, so it was much more than I was originally told, even without a tv which was probably stolen by one of the shady, drug addicts & criminals staying there. All night long I could smell weed smoke coming into my room and noise all night long. The whole place reeked of it. Also I couldn't adjust the thermostat at all.
No blackout curtains to block the sunlight. Elevator was out half the time. My key card wouldn't work. The next day I was told that I could transfer to another room, so I paid again. However hours later I noticed THREE charges to my account and when asked what the hell was going on I was told that not only did they not have another room available for me due to a shortage of housekeepers. So I told them I was checking out. They had the audacity to tell me that not only would they not give me a refund, they told me that I could NOT check out & that I owed them more money. I had to call the police to come and help me! Absolutely ridiculous. And the officer did, thank God. The manager then magically appeared and allegedly refunded my money, but I've yet to see it on my bank statement. There are still three separate charges that have yet to be credited back to my account after staying just 1 night in that awful room without a tv & Cheech & Chong next door. The only nice thing I can say about the place is that it's newly renovated and modern. My room wasn't very clean either. I don't know what the hell was wrong with the guy working the front desk. He acted like he was on drugs or mentally challenged or something.
Think twice about coming to this place. It's not worth the trouble. Unless you want to be around drugs, people on drugs or get ripped off.

Avoid!

Would not recommend to anyone. Customer service is horriable, manager made us feel very unwelcome. His employees are very unprofessional! anyone that stays here make sure to pay attention what they do and say they lie about everything!! 

Bad service 

I've been staying here on my trips to DFW for a year now.  It's a very clean hotel, with a very nice, friendly staff.
The building has been completely remodeled inside. New plumbing fixtures, Pergo flooring.  Bed is very comfortable.
 Highly recommended.  A+

Great place

As other reviewers have noted, this hotel has been nicely renovated and is very clean. Staff are very sweet and obliging, but to be honest, seem clueless about running a hotel. We checked in and immediately found that we had no chair for the desk in the room and no TV remote control. My husband reported this to the receptionist, who expressed her total incredulity that this was so. She actually said “Are you sure?” She then brought a chair in and proceeded to ransack our room, looking for the remote. In disbelief, we watched her pull the beds and other furniture out in front of us, looking for the remote. We thought this must be because being a budget hotel, they only had one remote per TV. Oh no, having done all this, she then trotted off to find a spare. We were amazed that she’d think this appropriate behavior. 

 One of the worst issues here, is noise. Early in the evening, somebody started to thump repeatedly and rhythmically on the wall of our room. My husband went to complain and a male member of staff came to our room and immediately identified the source of the problem. He explained that the families of some staff members are living in some of the rooms. One of their children was throwing a basketball repeatedly against our party wall. He went to tell the kids to stop, but about an hour later, the noise began again, necessitating another trip to the front desk to complain. Shortly after, somebody went into the room on our other side and conducted a very loud and animated conversation on their cellphone. Since the hotel renovation, carpets have been replaced with floorboards, so there are gaps at the bottom of the doors of approximately 1”. This means that all noise carries loudly and is made worse by the thinness of the walls themselves. The hotel is immediately next to a Home Depot, so somebody needs to buy a few dozen draught excluders and cover these gaps. While they’re there, they should also pick up some smoke alarms - see photo of where our room’s should have been. I’m fairly sure that this is totally illegal. We had to block the door gap with towels. From around 8am, cleaning staff congregate in the corridor, talking at the top of their voices, cracking jokes, yelling and generally behaving with a mind-boggling lack of awareness that guests are in their rooms still. It was very annoying - especially on a Saturday morning. I went out to get some breakfast at 9am. The breakfast area is very small and grossly inadequate for the size of the property. Worse, nobody had been clearing up after guests as they ate and departed, so table surfaces were dirty and had spilled crumbs, cereal and milk - it was pretty revolting. All food had gone completely, except for about three slices of bread. Not acceptable, when breakfast still has 30 minutes to run. Giving up on the idea of food, I realized that there were no coffee cups, so I asked the receptionist and she hurriedly ran to get some, dashing back to answer the phone, which was ringing out. I then discovered that of course, the coffee had run out. Defeated, I gave up. Management doesn’t seem to realize that the receptionist cannot man the front desk, answer the phone and oversee breakfast, just because she’s in the same area. I felt really sorry for this lady; she was working so hard and looked completely overwhelmed, as well she might. 

The whole experience was that we were staying in somebody’s family home. A very large, noisy family, with no experience of running a hotel and no clue as to the protocols required. I hate giving a family business a review like this, but our experience was almost farcical, it was so poor.

Worth the place

I have stayed at this property when in DFW many times.  It just recently got a much needed remodel and it like staying in a brand new hotel.  The rooms have new everything including complete bathroom make overs.  I love the new luxury vinyl floors through out the hotel.
The Staff is always friendly and attentive to my needs.

Excellent location. Very friendly staff. Excellent service. Nothing to complain about. Perfect stay. I think they have done renovations and everything seems perfect for money. Very quiet and had good sleep.

Excellent and best value for money

I enjoyed my stay at Arya Inn and Suites. The hotel has been remodeled and everything was brand new. I loved the way my room looked. Everything brand new, clean and beautiful. The location was perfect for my business meeting plus there are a lot of decent restaurants in walking distant. The property is beautiful and very close to the airport. The front -desk staff was very welcoming and accommodating. They helped me login to the free wifi the hotel provided and were pretty accommodating to my request for extra pillows. Overall I had a fantastic stay at Arya Inn. I will be back whenever I have another business trip in Irving.
