Not a looker from the outside but was very clean. A very nice basic hotel room. No frills but the bed was comfortable and it was quiet. Perfect spot for an overnight stay.  They are currently (4/23) renovating half of the rooms so it should get even better. 

Clean and quiet

Check in was quick.  Parking easy.  Room was clean.  Location convenient to Waffle House, McDonalds.  Road noise was not an issue.  Price was good.  Bed was comfortable.  Breakfast did not look like much - I just got some orange juice and went to McDonalds.  I would stay here again if in the area.

Good stay

Stayed here about 15 years ago and it was a clean little hotel so thought we’d try it when passing through again. The front desk team were nice and the lobby was well maintained but it ends there. Room was dirty and dank including debris on the floors, dirty counters, bed linens….can’t recommend.

Nice staff, dirty rooms…

We stayed in a red roof last night in Virginia and I gave it the review of “pet perfect“. This one is not as clean as that one but it has what we are looking for which is no pet fees and hardwood floors.

Good for pets

Hotel needs some updating, room was large enough 
But bathroom was a disaster 
Sharp edges on tub, leaks all over the floor 
Mold around the AC unit, needs immediate attention 
Waffle House across parking lot , not much else
Road construction makes finding the hotel entrance 
A bit challenging 
No I would not stay here again

Needs some love

The room was not the best; it was smelly and had two double beds. Also there was a rather large area near the plug hole on the bath that had clearly been repaired. The TV didn’t have many channels and it took us an age to work out how the remote for it worked.

However, considering it was labelled as ‘continental', the breakfast was very good and included fruit juice, coffee, both regular and decaffeinated, bagels fresh fruit and waffles.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the WiFi in the room was quick.

Stayed one night traveling up Fl. Our room stank like cigarettes. Room was Ok clean. Bathroom needs major update, cleaning. Towels were stained. Needs some TLC. Staff was fine. I would not stay again.

Not great.

We had stayed at a Red Roof Inn In Statesville NC on our way south to Florida and were so very impressed with its quality and cleanliness. Having never stayed in this motel chain before we thought we would try them again. The reviews on Trip Advisor for Red Roof Inn Baldwin were overwhelmingly positive. Our group took two rooms. Unfortunately both were dirty, shabby and not checked up on. In my room There were ring stains on the bedside table, a Stain on bedspread, dirty floor in front of the door, dust coated surfaces beside the beds, crooked lampshades( all four!) Chipped paint on trim as well as unpainted trim. Honestly I would have given 1 star except the woman at the check in was so nice, helpful and friendly. We wanted two rooms together and she went out of her way to accommodate us. Also the reception area is appealing and clean. I would not recommend staying here. 

Disappointing 

We stayed here on May 20th and May 27th.   We were traveling from our home in Connecticut to Florida to visit family.     The rooms were very clean and very comfortable.   The staff was very accommodating on both visits.   They graciously accepted the fact that we were traveling with my truck and camper and my Newfoundland dog.  We were very pleased with our stay.  Breakfast had a large selection of baked goods, fruit, cereals, and make your own waffles.  I would highly recommend this motel to any traveling in this area. 

Very nice place

It is how a roadside motel should be. Neat, clean, fresh AND right next to a Waffle House. We will definitely stay here again when through this area. the room is basic but clean and nice. The owners do a great job maintaining their property.
