The room has a small college-sized fridge, a bright bathroom vanity area, a small table to sit, and two beds.  The television had all the channels (I just don't watch) and the wifi worked well.  I stayed there for a week for work and the staff there cleaned the beds everyday. I work at night so they would wait until I gave the okay to clean -- so they would do it very early so I returned to a clean room. 

They had obviously had lots of renovations done with the tiling, carpets, and outside areas. Mgmt was very serious-- reminded me twice that smoking would cost extra if they found it during cleaning. 

Overall, they were hardworking and I felt they were trustworthy (none of my stuff would be touched-- or it was picked up and placed on the top of the middle of the comforter (I dropped an gold earring).  I think it was worth the money-- they kept the place very tidy.  My only commentary is that the bathroom air intake was missed in the clean-up.  I am more sensitive to that because of allergies.  I am sure if I told them that they would have cleaned it.

They renovated and the place was very clean

The room was nothing like pictures.  Wallpaper ripped, huge horrible repair in shower, and worst of all no security lock on door.  Was warned in other reviews about the area and we could handle it, but the room itself felt dirty and in disrepair.

Won't stay there again

Stayed here for the Gator Bowl event. Close to the event. This is an older motel needs updating. Beds a little hard. Staff very friendly. The free breakfast is only muffins and coffee. Overall fair stay for the price

Not bad for the price

We chose something at a lower range for a couple of hours of slip before going on a cruise from Cape Canaveral. We booked through booking.com, asked for a handicap unit if possible knowing that it can be a problem and we got instant confirmation from the staff. We got there at 2 a.m., immediately checked-in and in our room. Pleasant surprise! The unit was big, really big with enough space to easy manuver an  wheelchair, nice lavatory adapted, nice decoration, a refrigerator clean and ready for us, a table and 2 chairs, a mirror, iron, hangers, tv and good bedding which was greatly appreciated. Very clean, nice furniture, my understanding is new owners put a lot of money in remodeling. Also the location was convenient, quick return to I-95 and gas stations for our next leg of trip. This one is a keeper as a stop for a night. We will book again.

perfect for a night stop, roomy handicap unit

Husband, Mom and I are staying two nights while back and forth visiting my Dad at uf health. Front desk were very rude and managed to make me feel like some kind of criminal with all the questions they asked. They lacked manners, period. Also attempted to raise the price I had already confirmed booking on due to a third person (my mom) although she was already included in the price with the booking that I confirmed. This place is also NOT pet friendly although they advertise to be so. Toilet barely flushes and the doors have no security latches over the deadbolts so are not child friendly and are easily from the inside if you have a young one. Frown for this place is all I have to say.

Rude staff, hotel not as advertised

The hotel was nice. The beds were comfy, There were enough pillows. Bathroom did have a weird musty smell. Water got really really hot. The location of this hotel was good and right off I-95. There were a few things to do nearby. 

Emerson inn August 30-31 2019

We stayed one night and were on a tight budget. The Emerson Inn met our needs perfectly. It was a five-minute drive from I-95. Parking was easy. Check in was very prompt and friendly. The room was very clean although the furniture was dated and mismatched. Wi-fi service supported steaming video. The room was air-conditioned with a modern mini-split unit that had an easy-to operate remote control. TV service was via DirecTV. Downsides were that there is no non-slip surface in the bathtub so the risk of a fall in the tub is significant. The refrigerator had about two inches of ice built up in the freezer compartment. "Continental breakfast" was commercially prepared pastries in cellophane plus coffee and a juice machine. We opted to eat elsewhere.

Clean and convenient

This Motel is you standard older - well used motel. As would be expected it has seen lots of years of use. But, the room was clean and was just in need of refurbishment. Pretty much what you would expect for the price point. Check in was easy and pleasant. Only, real glitch is that they are doing facade construction right now so at 7 AM there was construction noise right outside the room. No note was made of it during checkin. It is convenient to the interstate and was fine for a cheap room to sleep. Nothing else.

Typical Dated Small Motel - but unexpected construction

The setting:  You are just off an exit from/to I-95.  There are fast food outlets and a gas station near this motel.  We called ahead of arrival and requested a room on the first floor for our quick overnight.  When we checked in at 11pm, our check-in was fast and our first floor room with a king-size bed was ready for us.  The reception area has coffee/tea available for guests 24/7, and some packaged breakfast pastries with orange juice for breakfast.  The coffee was not good, watery and weak.
The room:  Ours was spacious with a large window overlooking the parking lot.  There was a large A/C-heating unit below the window.  The room came with a clean mini-fridge and microwave.  There was no safe, closet, or coffee maker.  The flat panel TV had all the channels one would want and the free WiFi worked well.  The room did have a small table with two chairs and a leather chair beside the large bed.  The bedding was comfortable here.  The large area with a sink was conveniently outside the bathroom, and had a hanger rack for clothes.  The shower had decent water pressure but the shower-head was small and could be replaced.  The room was spotless and spacious.
All in all, I would not hesitate to stay here again if I needed a quick overnight during a road trip.

Great rates, location and excellent rooms

Stayed there for two nights. Clean quiet well located. Nice room. Plenty of parking on the premises. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Jacksonville is very spread out huge but the hotel is only a few miles foremost things about Taurus tick interest.
