When we checked in, Kim was very helpful and got some money refunded for us.  Becky in the water park bar was great.   So far, this has been a good experience.   We enjoyed the rooftop hot tub and the one in the bar at the water park. We have 5 or 6 still to try today.  Because of our great experience we are staying another day. 

Birthday 

We really liked this place but feel they could step it up a bit and make it better. More towels and toiletries. For this type of accommodations We should not have to call the front desk for soap and clean towels. (There were some dirty coffee cups and a couple dirty towels.)
The comfort of the bed/mattress was amazing!
All in all we completely enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Fun getaway

We booked a condo to treat ourselves.  The room was large... but spending the extra money is not worth it if they put you in building D.  The sidewalks were treacherous around building D, they were fine everywhere else.  That and we were put right next to the freeway.  The semi truck jake breaks were super annoying.  If you do stay here, don't let them put you in building D.

Avoid Building D

Wonderful escape to the mountains. It is so beautiful and peaceful at Silver Mt. The hotel was amazing like a home away from home. The gondola ride was beautiful. The water park is just perfect and the fire side games are fun to do at night

Wonderful Time

Fourteen of us stayed here during a bicycle tour. Our accommodations were spread throughout the resort. My room was in building A or 1 (main check-in) and was comfortable. However, I did not have a chair other than the two chairs on the balcony. The bathroom was spacious and shower had good power. The queen bed was comfortable, but the pillows were worn out. A nice fluffy pillow would have been very nice. The room had a frig, microwave, stove, sink and a bar with two bar chairs. 

The front desk staff person was always friendly and helpful. A small gift shop with snacks was open continually. Coffee and tea were also available 24/7.  

The resort offers a gondola ride, indoor water park, hot tub and laundry facilities. The first two were closed for the season. 

Overall, I enjoyed this stay and found it comfortable. If it was a different season, I'm sure it would have been a whole different feel and review! There was a restaurant offering breakfast within walking distance. Also on-site is Noah's Restaurant (reviewed separately).

Comfortable Two Night's Stay

I stayed in mid September and the valley is beautiful compared to how it looked in the 60’s and 70’s when I grew up there and the smelter killed all plants and bushes. The facility is pretty big, good parking but finding my way from there to my room with skywalks was confusing. Better signage on site would be nice. The room was very nice. Microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher,a few dishes, etc. very clean and great linens, however I find the several small pillows very inconvenient to use, I’m used to king pillows. The bathroom was bright, clean and well appointed. The tub was slippery for my shower however.  Lots of activity outside, always a mountain bike event going on it seems. I did not use the waterpark (64) but I’m sure I paid for it, $185 which is the only reason I’m giving 4 stars rather than 5. I see the “value” rating here has been removed. Anyway I’m sure it would be overrun with kids, not my idea of relaxation.

Morning star bldg 2 was very nice

We have traveled to Silver Mountain several times doing day trips to go hiking at the top (taking the gondola up). This was our first time staying at the resort. Our room was clean and it was quiet. We really liked that the resort has a restaurant, bar, coffee shop (for breakfast), pizza place, and frozen yogurt place all right there. Great central location to go hiking and biking up top, but also do the short drive to Lookout Pass and the Hiawatha Trail.

Nice all-in-one place to stay

Our purpose for this stay was to take the grandkids to the water park, and it’s nearly impossible to get tickets any other way (tickets are held for guests predominantly). This captive audience allows them to price things accordingly. Checkout is 11:00 and the park didn’t open till 1:00. When I asked for a late checkout (though they had no booking after ours) I was told we could checkout at noon, but would have to pay another $45/hr after that. I told them we’d just hang out in their lobby for an hour until the park opened. The front desk called me back a little while later, offering a 1:00 checkout for no charge. Nice concession. 
I will say that the general layout of the one bedroom/loft condo and the huge bathroom worked well for the 5 of us and the advertised pictures well-represented the general appearance of the condo, but the cleaners do NOT pay attention to detail. Dirty fan, cobwebs (look up!) & dirty corners. And the sofa is grossly soiled and thread-bare. As we were relaxing on the sofa with the fan on, bits of dusty fan debris were floating down on us. Ughhh!!!
This is promoted as a condo with a fully stocked kitchen but it lacks numerous basics - foil and plastic wrap, oil or spray oil, dish brush or sponge, and the most important basic - SALT AND PEPPER. 
When I called to ask about any of these missing items, their answer was either buy them in their gift shop or the grocery store. 
A few other missing items - no pencil or paper, no decaf coffee or tea.
Considering the reservation price, the management would do better to pay closer attention to the customers’ needs. 
If you plan to stay at this facility, either bring your own “everything” or book through Owner-owned apps, where they pay much better attention to detail. Better yet, stay at a cheaper hotel and spend your $$ at Silverwood Park (Athol, ID) or Triple Play (Hayden, ID).

Dirty, worn and poorly stocked.

PROS: Waterpark is amazing; waterpark staff is awesome. Helpful, kind, diligent. Kids had a blast. Condos themselves are nice and super clean. 

CONS: Front desk staff - holy moly! They’re all three sheets to the wind!! If you have any problems, you’re on your own!

The WIFI went down, so after an hour, I called. A movie character couldn’t have been written more vapid than the girl on the phone: “Hello? Oh yeah, the WIFI? Yeah, we had a storm. But…. It might pop back on…” “Um, the storm was 3 hours before it went out. And usually you have to reset it. Is there someone that can reset it?” “Nope. Sometimes it just, sorta, pops on, so you should hope for that.” “Ok, I’m doing work. Can I talk to maintenance?” “Um…. No. They don’t fix that kind of thing. No one fixes the WIFI. We just, sorta, you know, hope for the best.” “Could I maybe try to turn it off and back on? That often solves it.” “We don’t even know where the WIFI even is…”

OMG!!!

Earlier, the AC wouldn’t turn on. Guy came to fix it and said, “something is sorta blowing. Maybe that’s as good as it gets?” He looked at me as if I knew. 

Who works here??? $350/night and it seems like WIFI and air conditioning should come standard. As advertised. And if there’s a problem, it seems like someone who works here should have at least a vague plan for how to solve it.

Waterpark is excellent, but lodge staff is completely out to lunch. If you have a problem, you’re on your own!

If you have business in the area I am sure you will find this property a great option in an area with limited hotel choices. Well taken care of and decent rates. Very pretty area and plenty of hiking options as well.
