What a rare gem! Upon arrival you are amazed by the breathtaking view of Kachemak Bay and the mountains. (We spent every morning and late evening sitting on the deck enjoying the view). The cabin is filled with antiques and Alaskan artifacts.We stayed in the Twin Cubs Room with an En Suite  bathroom that included a shower. Beds had handmade quilts and a braided rug on the floor from the original owner of the B&B. Blackout shades on the windows and nice reading lights over the bed. Mannfried's breakfasts each morning
were a treat and delicious. Marcia and Mannfried are gracious hosts and eager to share their knowledge of history about the B&B and Homer. They recommended restaurants and places of interest. Mannfried serenaded us with a cello performance the last morning after breakfast. We will always cherish the memories of Juneberry Lodge. The can't imagine staying anywhere else in Homer.

What an amazing B&B!

We had the pleasure of staying at the Juneberry Lodge while in Homer performing a concert and school program for the Homer Council on the Arts. Our hosts Mannfried and Marcia were delightful. Wonderful, comfortable accommodations, delicious breakfasts and warm and engaging conversation. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thank you for a memorable stay in Homer.

Amazing accommodations and wonderful hosts!

Charming, immaculate, inviting! Our three night stay at Juneberry Lodge made our trip to Homer wonderful and was one of the highlights of our trip to Alaska.  The room was cozy and comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and the views spectacular! Marcia and Mannfried suggested wonderful things to do and places to eat locally. Highly recommend staying at Juneberry Lodge!

Excellent place to stay in Homer!

What a cozy special place the Lodge is! Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Nice location. The views of the bay and mountains are just spectacular in every direction. The grounds of the lodge are lovely with a nice open patio to use right out your door. We absolutely loved visiting with our gracious hosts, sharing stories of Alaska and learning  more about the Homer area. They gave us good tips as to where to go and what to see with the time we had which we so appreciated. As for the breakfasts and Coffee-Fantastic!! I can still taste the authentic sour dough pancakes. Thank you both again for such an amazing stay! We really enjoy visiting with you. Lance and Val Honer


Such a beautiful relaxing place

My wife & I loved Homer especially our stay (5nights) at the Juneberry!  The views of the glacier across the bay were very relaxing as were the accommodations.  This home is a Time Capsule, many antique pieces  with stories to tell, Marcia & Mannfried are curators preserving and sharing the history with their guest.  The breakfast are memorable, the food and conversation a good way to start a great day😎 We loved our stay! Kim &Roger from TN 8/18-23/2023

 The best of Homer

Our family of 8 spent two nights at the Juneberry Lodge in Homer. It is a beautiful lodge with a great view of the Kachemak Bay. Our hosts were very gracious and helpful. Our rooms were nice, each with our own private bathroom. There was a common room, living room for us to sit, talk and play games. They had a nice large grassy yard for the boys to play ball. Our breakfast was very good with plenty to eat and drink.

Family stay at Juneberry Lodge

Juneberry Lodge is effing amazing.  Where to start?  The place is a beautiful log & stone home & you’ll feel at home right away when you leave your outside shoes on a shelf by the door & wander around in your socks or slippers.  The 1st floor also includes a lovely den area with picture windows overlooking a large grassy yard & cute gazebo.  Marcia is a delightful hostess & has outfitted the den with comfy seating, many books & magazines, coffee, hot tea, & a mini fridge.  The 3 guest rooms are also on the 1st floor & 2 have en suite bathrooms while the one with the bathroom across the hall provides not only thoughtful robes, but also the best window view!  Amazing breakfasts are professionally prepared by talented host Mannfried; while we were there we enjoyed crepes overflowing with a variety of berries & sourdough blueberry pancakes the next!  Breakfasts were leisurely & the conversation flowed as we enjoyed learning about the various antiques in the large dining/living area.

I Wanna Go Back!!!

Wonderful quiet Bed n Breakfast on large hillside home site above Homer bay with view of glacier, ice fields, mountains and forests. Beautiful grounds with many flowering plants. 5 min from Homer Spit with halibut boat charters and excellent seafood restaurants including local farmed oysters. Charming hosts provide helpful maps, lists of local sights, activities and names of good restaurants. Comfortable room with mountain view, private bath, large sitting room. Great Wi-Fi, not so common in this part of Alaska. Full breakfast with juice, loaded scrambled eggs, bacon, local jams, etc. We would go back in a minute.

Awesome views across Homer bay

This was our 2nd trip to Homer, and Juneberry Lodge made it twice as good!  We loved the location outside of town, and the views can't be beat.  Our room and beds were super comfortable and clean.  We were a little disappointed that Marcia and Mannfried were out of town, but Stephanie was a fantastic host, and we did get to meet and chat with them on our last day.   We enjoyed hearing about, and were a little jealous of their bear watching vacation to Brooks Camp.  We also especially appreciated their Covid-19 precautions!   Thank you for sharing Juneberry Lodge!

Beautiful Lodge and location! 

Hard to decide what was best about Juneberry Lodge:  The views, the awesome breakfasts (thanks, Mannfied), or the accomodattions.  Oh wait, I know the best part:  the hosts!  Friendly and a wealth of information!  

The home is gorgeous, with the guest rooms on their own floor for privacy.  The location is convenient to all things Homer and easy to get to from the main road.  Whether it was a lazy morning in, or an early evening of reading and watching the ever-changing view, Juneberry Lodge was a great place to relax as well as a base of operations for our Alaska trip.  Marcia's recommendations all worked out wonderfully for us.  An utterly unforgettably trip.  We'll be back!
