The B&B is best we have done in Alaska!!
Brett and Dorothy are absolutely wonderful and the place is in the perfect location!
The breakfast with the zucchini bread is so good that we asked the recipe.
If you have to pass in Homer this is the perfect place to stay!!

Awesome 

As we drove to the retreat, we kept driving up and up (past the moose, which we had to stop and photograph) and when we reached the top, we were greeted by three sand hill cranes and view of the mountains and Homer and the spit below.  Stunning views!  Dorothy and Brett welcomed us with literal open arms and made us feel right at home.  Our room was really beautiful and we were treated to the most comfortable bed and a great hot breakfast!  We will definitely stay here again!  The most wonderful night's sleep of our whole two weeks in Alaska!

View & Comfort!

This is a beautiful setting in Homer with great views of the ocean.  There were moose outside everyday we were there. The room was comfortable and clean. So why a 3 you ask?  This is more of an air B&B then a true B&B.  Breakfast was served but it was not of the caliber we are use to. Part of the reason to stay at B&B is to meet other travelers and learn and enjoy there travel stories. We felt like we were intruding in someone's house versus guests. If your looking for quite and privacy this place is ok. If your looking for a traditional B&B experience I would look elsewhere.

Dorothy and Brett were super.  Accomodated us with every need.  My wife and I saved $30 every day with the hot breakfast they serve, due to Alaska costs!  They told me where to see eagles and we did.  The view from this property is breath taking.  The bay, the Spit, mountans, glaciers.  Priceless!  Sand Hill Cranes in the yard daily.  Moose every two days.  Will be back!  Chris and Cindy.  

Homer was awesome.  Don't forget to fish!!  Views are spectacular at this B&B!  And it's clean and very spacious.

We had an amazing time at the Sportsman Retreat with Dorothy and Brett!!  You could not ask for more accommodating hosts.  Thank you both for making our stay at Homer just fantastic.   If you are a birder, the location is perfect!!  Just up the road from Wynn Nature Center and the birds are abundant since hardly anyone lives in the general area, it is like having a whole mountain to yourself.   And ooooo the beds!!!  Thank you Dorothy and Brett for a wonderful time.   Trish and Kathy  :)
