Great location w stunning views! 
The host Michael was incredibly helpful from the moment I booked in making sure I had reservations in advance for some local outtings I would not have e been able to get once I was there. 
The house has 4 rooms I believe, each with a fantastic view of mountains and the bay. 
Michael made breakfast to order, from eggs, sausage, to yogurt and granola. 
He also suggested some great restaurants.  art galleries, and fishing charters.

Good Karma - Great visit!

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Good Karma Inn for 2 nights.  What a beautiful lodge and the view is absolutely spectacular.  Very warm and inviting, but secluded enough to enjoy the quiet country side.  I just wanted to sit on the balcony and enjoy the view.  The owner Mike is an added bonus.  He's takes great pride in ensuring his guests have the best experience possible.  

We had our fishing charter cancelled due to high winds.  As soon as I got back to the lodge Mike sat down and started making calls with me to find something else to do for the day.  It was great appreciated having someone that not only knew the area and who to call, but also cared enough to spend the time doing it.  

We will be back.  Thank you again Mike.

Must Stay in Homer, AK

Good Karma Inn is aptly named. Michael was a wonderful host and we felt very relaxed and taken care of as his guests. He gave us helpful tips on where to go and what to do in Homer. His breakfasts were outstanding and the accommodations were spotless, spacious, and with great views. We only wish we had carved out more time to explore the area and enjoy the wonderful hospitality at Good Karma.

Two nights isn't enough

The absolutely BEST place to stay in Homer! We were there only 2 nights and would have loved to stay longer. First all, our room was spectacular with access to a spacious porch that overlooked the Spit and  Kachemak Bay. There is so much care given to guests to make them feel at home here. Michael is a wonderful person whose hospitality goes above and beyond. In Homer, we bought the most beautiful souvenirs,  had the best meals in Alaska and never felt like tourists all because of Michael. He is a wealth of knowledge and has the best stories! We feel like we made a new friend. We highly recommend staying here!

Our Most Memorable Stay in Alaska!

We stayed four nights in the Wisdom room. The room has an outside deck and views of the bay and glaciers.  Our room was very large with a king size bed. Michael gave us great recommendations for places to dine and visit. This will be the first place we look for any future stays in Homer. We really enjoyed our conversations with Michael  and fell like we made a friend. I thank him for making this a very relaxing and memorable stay.

Will now be our first choice for stays in Homer

Our stay at The Good Karma Inn was absolutely perfect. It is hard to find a place that can accommodate a family with two large German Shepherds and a 3 month old baby, but the Good Karma Inn met all of our needs and more. The Wisdom room had plenty of space for all of us and the view was breathtaking. The host, Micheal, provided a great breakfast each morning and even better company. The atmosphere was very down to earth and comfortable, truly a “home away from home” vibe. We will absolutely be staying here again the next time we visit Homer!

Full transparency: we did not actually stay at Good Karma Inn even though we had booked a 3-night stay. Our kids stayed there earlier in the week and decided to move out after one night. (They had booked a 2-night stay.) Their rationale for doing so will be described in their review. However, the information that they gave us about the inn made us feel concerned about staying there. One of those concerns was the lack of black-out curtains. Since Alaska stays light until 11pm in the summer and the sun comes up quite early, we knew that we would not sleep well. When we called the host, Michael, to cancel, he told us to read the cancellation policy and then he hung up on us. We reviewed the policy and called back. He told us that he would refund our payment if he was able to rent the room. This sounded reasonable to us; we understand that this is his business. The hanging up on us, however, was harsh and unnecessary. The room was not rented and Michael let us know that he would not be providing a refund. In his text, he made reference to our daughter "panicking and doing us no favors". His commentary was completely unnecessary and mean-spirited. In the world of customer service, such opinions are best left unexpressed. Although we took a loss, we ended up having a WONDERFUL stay on the tip of the Homer Spit at a lovely hotel with an extremely accomodating front desk staff. We loved Homer and highly recommend this quaint town!

Decided to stay elsewhere

Wonderful stay!! We stayed over Memorial Day weekend and had a great time! Michael was very inviting and his breakfast was delicious and home cooked every morning. Great tips on what to do/eat/see in Homer. We had a great time also just chatting with him and other guests. Incredible view from the deck, and the pillows are perfect. We hope to be able to stay here again in the future, thank you!!

Perfect spot in Homer

We had a great stay at the Good Karma Inn. The lodge is beautiful and you have the best view of Kachemak Bay!  Michael, the host/owner is very caring and attentive.  He goes above and beyond to make you feel at home.  Michael is well known and highly respected in Homer.  When he shares his knowledge with you, listen well and take his advice; he will not steer you wrong!  Also, an added bonus, breakfast was amazing and the coffee is outstanding with the beans freshly ground each morning.  We made our reservation early and suggest you do so to be sure you get to enjoy the Good Karma Inn.

“The very best of Homer, AK”

We stayed two nights at the inn and had a wonderful time. The view of Kachemak Bay from our window was stunning. The inn is a beautiful log cabin built by Michael and the rooms were very nice. Michael is a very gracious host and made great recommendations for dinner as well as excursions.  My wife thought Michael’s coffee was the best in Alaska!
