I have to admit that I was skeptical about this place when my bride booked it. We normally like to stay in really nice places and don't like to adventure much. This one was just so convenient as we were starting our next morning at the Badlands and this was a great stop for us. Here is the thing....this place is not fancy at all.  Not even close. But it is quaint and clean. Rooms are small but comfortable with air conditioners working great. The parking lot is gravel, but who cares. The owners were a delight and we even at dinner at the bar/pub that is also part of the hotel. I almost felt like I stepped back in time to the 60s or 70s with this. I would stay here again if I was looking for a clean and friendly place to lay my head. And I would stop at that pub again in a heartbeat. Pro Tip - Go to the cemetery in town....it is extremely historic and very cool! 

Pleasantly Surprised!

We are traveling cross country with out small RV, and looking for a place along Interstate 90 toward Sturgis.  It was getting late, I Google and found this place called "Gerry's" right on our route.  I called, Barb was accommodating, they  had two "one queen" rooms left.  [2 out of total of 5] .   Husband and I don't sleep well on same bed [ I like to kick in my sleep...lol]  so we ask if we could have both rooms...and would there be a discount.  She said yes.  The discount wasn't huge, but her rates were already reasonable.  When we checked in, it was late.  The keys were waiting for us, the room air conditioners were running.  The rooms were small, quiet, very clean and beds very comfortable with nice pillows. [Pillows like you find in the $150+ rooms]  A nice Vizio TV up in corner of room with anything you could want to watch...you-tube tv, Netflix, etc etc....lots to surf.
It was a restful night.  So glad we found this little secret!  Happy to share my review!

It was such a plesant surprise!

Loved this place, along with the owners and locals! Our room was very clean and quiet! Walked over to the bar/restaurant for a bite to eat, which Todd did an excellent job in cooking! Ended up staying there a lot longer than we expected!
Enjoyed it all tremendously! Hopefully we will get back there someday! Gary and Kris

Wonderful place

This is definitely a place to stay when passing through. When they say clean they mean CLEAN!!! No frills just your basic needs. Super nice owners. No breakfast but Hutch’s Cafe is only 9 west from there!! Best home cooked meals & breakfast for sure!

VERY CLEAN!!! No Joke!!!

My husband and I were on a road trip from California across the country and this was a great place to stop for the night. Todd, the owner was so kind. The adjacent restaurant/bar was great! The burger and fries were delicious and hit the spot and the drinks were perfection. Stop here if you need a clean, cool, and comfortable place to rest for the night.

Road Trip Stop

Exceptionally clean room. Beds were wonderful. The owner couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. It was a great place, very reasonably priced and would definitely recommend it. A jewel in the very small town of Kennebec.

Great experience

So I used my map service to look for hotels for our trip out to Wyoming. This place was a good 10 hrs or so from our house. It had great reviews. Plus it's a break for my dad. It's his first road trip in 25 years. Him and I were so glad we stayed here and we plan on staying here again when we go back out west. This place was so clean, it was remarkable. I wish there were more places like this one. Also they have a restaurant too. The food was good too. If you're looking for a place to stay at, this is the one. You will not be disappointed   .

What a great find!

I stayed here with my dog just for one night on the way to Yellowstone, and it was perfect for what we needed. Quiet rooms, a huge yard space for my dog to walk and a wonderful and homemade breakfast by the owner. I highly recommend stopping here on your way to wherever, and fill up on breakfast, especially that casserole!

The rooms are dated in regards to fashion but you are not missing anything you need other than maybe shampoo and conditioner but I always bring my own. The mattress was newer and I had no complaints. 

It does face the interstate so you can hear the traffic. I am a very light sleeper and with the use of the bathroom fan heard very little outside of the room. 

I was extremely impressed with how clean the room was!  I have stayed in some basically brand new hotels that were not this clean. 

I would stay here again. 

Decent room, great price, exceptionally clean

The rooms were clean and comfortable.  The area was safe.  The owner is a lady who has run the motel for years and cooks something special for breakfast.  The day we were there, there was the standard continental breakfast, but the owner cooked an egg/sausage casserole.
