Excellent value, very clean and updated, newly remodeled bathroom with separate vanity/sink area and bath/stool.  Great place to eat just a short walk away. Helpful when we had questions and provided a floor fan on request. Easy to find even though off the interstate. Not fancy, but had everything we need at a reasonable price.

If you just need nice and clean  but not fancy, this is your place!

5 it was very convenient to activities of The land between the Lakes. It was clean and quiet. Great night sleep. Excellent value for the money. Would stay again. Owner was very friendly with great recommendations. I wanted to see the Bison he told me to go early in the morning and I am glad I did.

Family vacation

This is obviously an older property but has been mostly refurbished.  We had a very small room but it was very comfortable.  Great bed and excellent ac. Bathroom was very small but adequate. Price was right and pool in good shape. Lots of attractive landscaping.  We would not hesitate to stay again.

Worth the Visit

When my husband booked us to stay here a couple of weeks ago so he could go fishing in Kentucky Lake, I really wasn't expecting much. Other roadside motels I'd stayed in were more on the dumpy side. Our room in the Early American Motel was freshly painted and immaculately clean. There was even a nice little table and chairs in front of the room. Also, there is a very good restaurant almost across the street with good catfish and other seafood. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. I recommend it highly.

Pleasantly surprised

Was looking for a one night stay. This place was really nice. I would stay more nights. Room was dated, but very clean!! That is what I look for anymore, cleanliness! My room had 2 beds, was harder matress than I have at home, but would rather have a firm one when traveling vs a soft one! Had a room frig w/a little freezer section. Small microwave provided. Even had a full size coffee pot instead of one of those little one cup things. Did I mention how clean everything was?? Window air unit that was in a window overlooking the back of the motel. In 90+ degree heat the room was kept cool. Front porch had a small table and 2 chairs so you could sit outside and people watch. Good size pool was there and people were in it, but I didn't use it. Next business over was a food and bar place. Sat. night we were gonna walk over, as we could hear music from the live band outside. Decided we were 2 tired and didn't. Once we were in our room and closed the door, we couldn't hear the music or any road noise. I would highly recommend this place! Did I mention it was clean?

Cute, small, clean and overal Great!

We loved our stay at Early American. The owners are fantastic people and went out of their way to make us feel at home and gave us some wonderful suggestions for activities to do and places to eat. They have also just installed a gas bbq which we loved cooking our dinners on, and the pool is lovely, clean and big! Would definitely recommend - wonderful value for money! 

Wonderful place to get back to nature 

The rooms were comfortable, plenty of room for the family and cooking was made easy in the room with the kitchenette.  The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Pool was a nice plus.  The grandkids and I enjoyed it very much. Great location near the lakes and the Elk and Bison Prairie.  Strongly recommend for anyone looking to get away and enjoy some quiet time.

Great family retreat

Because we could not stay in another hotel in the area, we arrived at this motel.  We came here and thought it was a very nice accommodation.  Upon arrival we were received very warmly.  And immediately got the impression that we were very welcome.  We ended up staying here for 3 nights.  The owners are very friendly.  They told everything about the area and the possibilities for recreation on the lake.  We were even allowed to borrow fishing rods from them.  The cottages are cozy and well cared for.  There is a nice swimming pool, which provides cooling in the hot days.

Was on the 400 mile yard sale and came upon this lil diamond in the rough. Yes it is a older motel but it was very clean and comfortable.  There was a fishing tournament being held nearby anda lot of fishermen was staying there but when in our room we were not disturbed or even really noticed that the motel had other guests. The rooms are small but we didn't mind a bit. The clerk was super friendly and even let us check out a room before we checked in. He recommended near by places to eat and such. There is a pool that was very clean and well kept.  The room had a full sized coffee pot (which made the hubby happy). A refrigerator and a microwave which was a nice bonus.  My only complaint was that there was a bit of a gap under the door but I put a towel down and problem solved.   I would definately stay here again and have already suggested that next year we plan this on our trip as our place to stay!!

Clean and comfortable

Found Early American Motel on Trip Advisor. Just out on a weekend getaway with my husband. It’s an old motel but super clean. The office staff/owner was very friendly. If ever back in the area will definitely consider it again. Can’t beat the price.
