Have stayed here overnight last two years for Wednesday Night Gospel Fest with Jason Crabb hosted by First Southern Bank. The rooms in the building on right side of parking lot have been nicely updated, new bathrooms, spacious rooms, comfortable king size bed, mostly new furnishings, except easy chair and ottoman. No breakfast is served, but numerous restuarants in all directions within walking distance. Hair dryers are available on request and rooms have microwave and refrigerator. A/C & heat units are quiet and efficient. Hospitality and service are very good, although I did have to haggle to get the rate quoted directly with the motel this time. Was corrected after some haggling and I will return and do recommend, clean and good value.

Labor Day Wednesday Night Gospel Fest

I drove from Arizona to Central City for a funeral. stayed here for three days. The room was spacious, quiet and clean. King size bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and courteous. From now on, when we are in this are, we'll stay here!!

They pulled a bait and switch.  Showed us a newly decorated room 301, then gave us a different room 303.  We dropped our bags and left. When we returned, we turned on the lights and got quite the surprise.  The back of the door and the wall behind it was filthy.  The lamp was missing a bulb.  the toilet tissue holder was missing the spindle, the toilet was dirty as well as the seat was dirty and the top had what looked like duct tape residue on it.  Occasionally we would get a waft of sewer gas.  The mattress cover looked like it had dried blood on it.  The pillow cases were either not clean or stained.  The young man "Rocky" who sometimes helps out was very nice.  he changed the bedding including the mattress cover, sheets and pillow cases.  Rocky was a very nice young man and was the only reason we stayed.  The office manager did refund some of our money and explained that the reason he didn't give us 301 was because the AC was broken and he wasn't sure it would be fixed. But then he rented it to someone else, leaving us with the crappy room.

Eclipse visit

This place is beautifully decorated.  It's got an old feel to it yet extremely cozy. Their service is awesome. Definitely worth the money. Which isn't much. I would definitely come back here. Recommend to all that pass threw. Even discounted our room cheaper than what I got quoted online.

We arrived here late at night after checking into another motel that was dirty and filled with bugs and we had to leave. They took us right away at the Caronoda and the room was big and clean and a welcome sight! We only stayed for one night but we were very happy... good place to stop on the road. Lots of restaurants nearby but we learned that it is a dry county on Sundays so no drinks to be found.
