This property is under new ownership and renovated as of JUNE 2022. I bought this property and have renovated greatly. I'd love for anyone who visited to come back now and see and enjoy our hospitality. I am an experienced short term and longterm rental host who truly understands customer service.

THIS PROPERTY IS UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP AND RENOVATED AS OF JUNE 2022

Spent wknd at Lakehouse and our group rented out entire upstairs and room downstairs and even tho Sonny said it was pet friendly you were supposed put your pets in a flea, spider, and ant infested very hot room and leave them there. There were spiders everywhere. The house was not very clean. The tv's don't get any channels all you can do is watch OLD DVR movies...no joking! It's way overpriced and def not worth it. We left the place cleaner than when we arrived and she gave our group a bad review. Buyer beware on this one. If you stay here it's not gonna be anything like you expect it is. It's borderline horrible!

Not what you think it is!

Would not recommend. Owner of this home changed several agreements as our week at the Lakehouse progressed. This was for a wedding in which had already been planned and coordinated with the owner prior to arrival. Sunny was nothing short of passive aggressive with her demands. As prior agreement we would have access to all rooms in the home and have pet accommodations (they were not to be inside the house and we agreed to this) however on arrival we were made aware that she had changed her mind and the pets would not be allowed but secluded to a “bunk house” which is a very small unfinished add on area of the home with several bunk beds and very little if any living space as you walk in. We rented the upper portion of the house for two days prior to renting the bottom portion. Again agreed upon prior to arrival. Sunny and some people spent the two days working on this portion of the home while we staying in the upper area. One night with until 1am. Which we could hear the whole time. Once we gained access to this area we were informed we would not have access to all areas of this portion of the home which we were under the understanding we would. Owner literally taped off areas to not touch. As we moved things from the upper portion to the lower portion of the home two men we do not know entered into the home fully in search of the owner Sunny. It was a very odd experience and we phoned the owner after. She advised us that she had requested the door remain locked and we should’ve had it locked anyways. Offering no explanations or resolutions to this obvious issue. This is a serious safety concern. Sunny remained present and unannounced during our entire stay to micromanage all activity within the home. Once time of departure arrived we were texted with a list of demands. Since we had moved furniture again agreed upon prior we had planned to leave the house as we found it we felt that was reasonable. Owner agreed to 3pm check out if we turned off all electricity at 11am. Sunny came to the home again prior to 3pm to check our work. She was then again passive aggressive and demanded we deep clean the home. Clean tables. Chairs. Chair legs. Sweep. Despite the cleaning fee which was charged. Also specifically stated we would not have to remove bedding. When the owner was no longer happy with our response to her demands she told the bride she had changed her mind on late check out and we should go ahead and finish up to leave. Thankfully the wedding turned out beautiful and we were able to accommodate to the demands of the owner to get through the 5 days we were there but wouldn’t recommend the same for anyone else.

Not for privacy.

We recently stayed at this home for a wedding and the host was awful. She showed up multiple times a day, every single day of the rental period. She also changed the terms of the agreement made multiple times refusing to allow pets as previously agreed and not allow use of all the rooms that were rented as agreed as well. The check out time was agreed to be later in the day, by 2pm instead or 11am, but the host showed up at 10:30 to the home to go over the house. There was a cleaning fee within the cost of renting the home which is standard, but we all were doing general cleaning to make sure the house was tidy before checkout. But Sonny the host showed up to force us guests to do deep cleaning of rooms,tables,chairs and vacuuming of  the home even though a cleaning fee was included in the price. Sunny then proceeded to argue with guests because the outside chairs were not placed exactly how they should be. If you are wanting to stay here just know the host was a NIGHTMARE.

Beware before renting

We had 5 families staying together for our kids Bass Fishing Tournament. It was great to be able to stay in one ace together. The place was nice.Enjoyed the covered deck on the front and back of the house.Thanks Sunny for the great time.

The host, Sunny,  is very friendly.  The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable.  This is located very close to Beaver Creek Marina in Monticello. 
There is a nice public kitchen area where you can store your food.  The other guests are mindful of what is theirs and what is not.  She also has a nice upper covered patio type area where a lot of guests hang out in the evening.  She does a nice bonfire, although we did not partake in it.  
For my group, we just needed a place to sleep and clean up, this was perfect!
