Nice, quiet little resort. The private beach is so beautiful and peaceful. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. We were sad to leave when our trip was over. The grounds are stunning. 
The only negative was the low water pressure in our room but we made it work for us.

Relaxing and beautiful

As you pull into the hotel it looks like something from 30 or 40 years ago.  The reception is old fashioned as well, as are the rooms (although modern equipped with Smart TV, fridges, microwaves and Wifi)

It does sound like I am criticizing the old fashionist of the hotel, but quite the opposite, I loved this change from modern, bland hotel rooms that all look the same.

Combined with lovely staff, lizards hanging out in the grounds and amazing sunsets, this I think is the best place to stay in Key Largo.

Quirky and old fashioned.  But that's a good thing.

Beautiful place to stay, the staff is great, clean rooms and pool, will def be back!! Also a bar/restaurant across the street and a gas station and coffee shack. They have kayaks and hammocks. Iguanas lizards and bonsai trees. You can see the sunset

Everything we needed

EPIC stay in Key Largo!!!! 
We booked a  2nd night because our cottage (#8) was and had EVERYTHING our hearts desired. 
We snorkeled, swam, dolphin watched, hammocked and so much more. 5 minutes away from John Pennekamp State Park was a bonus! 
Thank you Linda, Sassy and staff! 
We hope to return real soon

EPIC family resort

We arrived at the Rock Reef Resort after a long day of driving through Memorial Day traffic to find a charming place well cared for grounds and everything was very clean 
the pool was spotless even had a pool lift to help me in and out from my wheelchair 
Our room was nice roll in shower grab bars where needed which is required for me with my disability I complained about the height of the bed it was so high i could not get into it from my wheelchair, I have had this problem in the passed and talked to other hotels about this issue. To our surprise about 10 minutes later the owner Linda was at our door asking how she could make things better I suggested removing the box spring and putting a piece of plywood there instead she took care of it right away for us which had never happened before which made my stay very enjoyable. The sunsets from your dock take your breathe away.  Linda you have a beautiful property and wonderful staff the way you dealt with my issue was amazing no one has ever been so understanding as you were Thank you very much Ed Bell

Beautiful spot Key Largo

Peaceful and romantic! The property grounds are pure magic! The resort is what the Keys experience is all about! Old school cool, eclectic, artsy, warm and comfortable! We watched the sun rise overlooking the beautiful bay and were greeted by a family of manatees! I did my morning yoga in a private zen garden of perfectly manicured topiaries! The room was very clean had good coffee, soft clean linens and a view of the manicured gardens and crystal clear pool. The staff was kind, helpful and attentive. 

Pure old school Keys magic! 

My name is lazaro and there was great Service the people at the front desk are kind . I recomend to go here it is beautiful. The pool is warm and in the morning if you go to the beach you will see dolfins.

Great place highly recomend.

Great place to be bayside is lovely as you get beautiful sun sets. the Florida Keys are just so great, We have been visiting the Florida Keys since 2008, We even got married in Key Colony Beach on the Beach

Fantastic breaks

What a little gem! Stayed here for 1 night on the 19th October when travelling down from Miami to Key West. 

The room was exactly what we needed for a nights stay, clean, comfy and a perfect location. There was also a fridge and all amenities that you need for a comfortable stay. 

Would highly recommend and do not hesitate in booking. 

We are from the UK and when back in Florida, if we find ourselves travelling down through the Keys we will be staying again.

Great little spot! 

Beautiful grounds, friendly staff, clean room. This place is a gem. We had a quaint old Florida room. Clean with everything you need. Some rooms have been updated. The views are amazing.  Great pool, the dock is a great place to sit and watch kayaking, dolphin and amazing sunsets. We saw several Iguanas. Beautiful plants and trees. Well maintained grounds. The small beach was nice. Linda the owner is amazing.  We enjoyed visiting with her.  We hope to go back.
