I had booked a room for 5 days with this lodging before COVID.  After travel became impossible, I tried repeatedly to cancel my reservation well before the 30 day required - both through the website and over the phone.  I could not cancel my reservation online and the elderly gentlemen who answered the phone didn't know how to do anything related to his accommodations.  He told me to dispute the charge with my bank, which I did. My bank refused to credit me my deposit, which I had followed all the guidelines to get back.  So, they got $100 of my money for no services.

Terrible communication and customer service

Great place to stay.  Very clean.  Comfortable beds.  This is an old style Mom and Pop Motel.  Not fancy.  Very reasonably priced.  Very quiet other than the traffic noise.  Spend a buck and bring a pair of ear plugs.  Free internet.  A/C.  Free parking.  Barbecue grill in the yard and picnic tables.  Kitchen with stove, microwave, sink, pots and pans, dishes, and a fridge.  The place is worn and dated, but who cares.  It is in Key Largo and it is not $350 a night!!   If you need frills, a bar, candy on your pillow, and on site night life... Spend the money and stay some place else.   This place is a real good find!!

Great budget place to stay

Liked - Availability of parking on premises.  Wifi worked.

Disliked  · No storage or room to put suitcases.  Trundle bed squeaking with every move and sagging mattress.  Bathroom electrical outlet did not work and could not reset GFI.  Shower knob very loose with mold & peeling paint on the ceiling. Vintage tv where you had to manually power on and off.  Stains on sheets & pillowcases.  Ceiling fan rattling so loud had to turn it off. can of Raid Bug Spray was in the corner next to microwave.

Disgusting, moldy, stained linen, rude staff, cramped quarters, old, tired property. NEVER AGAIN!!!

The kitchen is unusable, very dirty, the fridge, kitchen and several utensils needed for cooking are absent.

Okay, the saying is 'you get what you pay for'.  This place is easily one third the cost of other hotels in the area.  It is not fancy, but my room was clean, spacious and comfortable.  I'm not sure what people are talking about when they talk about dirt and mold or say the host was rude.  As I said, my room was clean and the man with whom I dealt was nice and liked to joke.  (Maybe other reviewers don't have a sense of humor?
The room had a coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave and was conveniently located for activities as well as restaurants.  It is on the highway, but with the window closed at night, I wasn't bothered by noise.  
As I said, not the Ritz, but a good deal for the price and I would stay here again.

Reasonably Priced Accommodation in the Keys

Booked this resort through booking.com I was offered no stairs for my mother... received a phone call 3 hours later that they could not meet our needs in a rude matter... I am assuming was the owner since he was super rude and did not care... so I was told I had to pay cancelation fee... I quickly called American Express and they suggested for me to cancel my card and they were going to send a new one right away... so this lack of respect person emailed me and called me “ a fraudulent dead beat” ... thank God I cancelled because the last thing we need as vacationers is a rude disgusting personnel in a resort!!!Yuk yuk 
They surely need a lot of customer etiquette seminars!!!!! Disgusting guy!!!!

Terrible customer service

This place doesn't even deserve a one star. Was the most gross place I have ever stayed. Old metal frame beds dust all over the beds..sheets were gross and had hair on them upon checking in .carpet was so old and dirty could not walk barefoot. Totally over priced for the dump that it was..would not recommend this place at all .DO NOT STAY HERE

DISGUSTING GROSS

Let me start this off by saying we enjoy exploring beaches in Florida that we have not been to before and when we do we always try to find an “old Florida” motel to stay at. We have some amazing experiences and met great people this way. That being said this was not one of those experiences. The room smelled horribly and the only thing I used was the shower which had a broken plastic handle that I was lucky not to cut myself on. 

The worst part of the experience was the extremely creepy owner that kept us in his office being incredibly inappropriate while pointing out all of the fast food restaurants around. We decided not to even stay and turned around and drove home rather than stay here. 

Place is awful, noisy( in front of higway) ROOM is DIRT dusty and moldy, , we refused the room ! But paid the whole amount ( booking.com offer), they take the money before showing the room.. , we agreed with owners that if they can re rent the room they will give us some money back.. day after the room was used but the staff did not refund us and menaced us screaming and rudely Kick us away

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, DO NOT GO THERE Noisy, dusty moldy, rude staff

This place is probably one of the cheapest in Key Largo, but as in all things, you get what you pay for, or less. The room had "beds" that are ancient, with covers that make them look like some kind of sofa. The bathroom is musty and moldy, and I wouldn't step into the shower with bare feet. The A/C worked, but the TV was tiny and located near the ceiling. Worst of all, even though I slept ON the "bed" and not in it, I came away with bedbug bites in several areas. Yeah it's on the cheap side, but not cheap enough for me to stay there again.
