This was our third time here and this time was just as amazing as the other ones, maybe more so. 
 Our flight was delayed so we were going to be about 5 hours late for check in. When I called to let them know they were so nice about it and John actually stayed in the office past time and met us as we were pulling in. Helped us in with our luggage and everything. 
This is one of the most relaxing and beautiful places I've been. The grounds are well cared for, there is foliage and flowers everywhere. You can use the kayaks, which I highly recommend doing. If you're looking for just a chill place to get away this is the place. We stayed in one of the cottages and it was spotless and well maintained. I will never stay anywhere else in Key Largo. And of course....the Scones are to die for.

Amazing

Our family had a lovely three-night stay here, and if we ever come back to Key Largo, we'll definitely stay here again. It was a peaceful place to just chill with no agenda. You can choose from a swim in the heated pool, take a little ride in a kayak or on a paddle board, or just stretch out on a lawn chair and enjoy the sun -- and observe the lizards that live there. At night, you can look up and see a sky full of stars (a treat for those of us who live in a city). 

Our family rented a cottage with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The bathroom was well-appointed, and the kitchen (and grill) allowed us to prepare a couple of meals when we didn't want to venture out. There were also two big-screen TVs, and the office had various board games for lending (perfect for a family game night or during inclement weather).

Last but not least, make sure to sample Peg's scones! They are divine. Peg was also willing to work with us due to a family member's food allergy, which was such a treat. 

Low-key resort with scones & coffee (or tea or hot chocolate) each morning

This is by far the most beautiful place to just sit back and  relax. We have been going twice a year now for the past few years. They are constantly updating and adding more amazing amenities to this beautiful oasis. Every morning you are treated to the best scones and either, coffee, tea, hot chocolate or milk. Each day there are several different flavors of scones, if you have been going and have a favorite they make sure they have them on your first morning. Jonathon and his staff always greet you as if you are family. Peg who makes the scones is an amazing lady. You can go kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, canoeing, or you can just enjoy  the sunset. The tiki huts are another place to relax. The swimming pool is heated and is very welcoming. Don’t hesitate to make a reservation at this most perfect place a little slice of heaven here on earth and in Key Lago. 

We were amazed at Bay Harbor Lodge. The grounds are 2 and a half acres, lush and amazingly well kept and lead down to the gulf where guests are kayaking, sunbathing and paddle boarding.               

But the real joy for us were the owner, Peg, her son, Johnathan and their staff and their treatment of us. We were treated like family - well probably better. Ha. They have created a  truly kind and welcoming atmosphere. 
    We enjoyed our mornings on the patio of our room sitting at our table under the palm frond sun-shade roof.
    We spent our evenings at many of the lovely restaurants Key Largo has to offer. We had our share of fresh hogfish, shrimp, lobster, mahi and ceviche. Some of the guests grilled their own catch. Every unit that we saw had a grill for bbq. 
     By and large, an amazing surprise 
 
     The owner bakes fresh scones every morning, quite unique and fabulous with a cup of steaming coffee, tea or cocoa.

A Real Gem on Key Largo

Peg and Jonathan are the consummate hosts. They made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. Bay Harbor Lodge felt like a home away from home. Very tranquil and peaceful and a short drive from restaurants and other destinations.
 We saw beautiful sunset, manatees and iguanas! The flora is beautiful everywhere on the property!

Perfect place for a peaceful getaway!

This resort is hands down 5⭐️. Jonathan and Peg were so welcoming. The resort is extremely clean, gardens are beautiful, nice beach, kayaks were so much fun to use, and all the staff were so helpful. Scones in the morning were a definite plus!! We will be back!!

Beautiful Resort

So happy we found this resort. Stayed in a cottage with everything we needed. Had a grill, patio table, all kinds of equipment to use, beach. Homemade delicious scones every morning. Beautiful sunsets!

Best resort in Key Largo

We recently stayed in the Manatee Cottage with a beautiful bay view. If you enjoy immaculate, beachy accommodations, relaxation, peace, water views, and delicious morning scones, then this is the place for you.  Peg and her crew were such gracious hosts.  The daily sunsets were amazing, and the kayaks were a nice amenity to get out on the water.  There are several seating areas around the property, a spacious tiki hut with a fabulous water view, and clusters of Adirondack chairs around the waterfront.   We really enjoyed watching the charming iguanas too; the king sits on top of the mangroves!  The property is close to a grocery store, liquor store, and several restaurants and attractions.  The pool is immersed in tropical surroundings and is a very comfortable, warm temperature. This place is the real Key Largo deal…you will wake up each morning and say, “Aaaah, another day in Paradise!”

The Real Deal!

A wonderful place to spend a relaxing getaway. Friendly, helpful staff. Well maintained accommodations set in a lush tropical background. Nice private bayside beach with ample seating, paddle boards, kayaks and a private dock. And then there is the delicious coffee and homemade scones each morning. Have stayed there 3 times and will return next year.

Relaxing getaway

My wife and I enjoyed a relaxing winter escape at Bay Harbor Lodge.  Our little bungalow was clean and cozy, with a well-equipped kitchen for cooking meals as needed.  Homemade scones and fresh coffee were a wonderful treat each morning.  The owner, Peg, and her son, Jonathan, were attentive hosts, always available if needed.  We especially enjoyed the beautiful garden setting and the on-site kayaks for Florida Bay paddling.  The sunsets were epic!  We can't wait to go back to Bay Harbor, a little slice of heaven. :)
