One week with my 13 year old grandson. Amy is an excellent instructor and helped him get certified as open water diver   Friendly and competent staff.   I recommend it.  Room was clean and only steps from the dock. Food truck could be better. About an hour from Miami.

Great week with my grandson

This is the second time that I dove with Amoray and was VERY happy with the service, safety and professionalism of the dive center.

I dove with them for 3 days - 4 dives each day, and everything was well planned and executed.

When their boat could not accommodate my needs they booked me with a dive center nearby that they collaborate with and provided me with a buddy instructor since I didn’t have a buddy on this trip.

Having an accommodation at the dive center is a big advantage.

In short - they do a great job and I’ll come back to dive with them again. No doubt about that!!

Great dive center and a hotel !

The Amoray Dive Resort is a lovely place to stay.

We only visited for one night, as we were there mainly for a bit of relaxation at the end of a two-week visit to FL.

Check in was very quick, and we were directed to our room. 

We chose a large room with a nice veranda which looked across the water. The room was a little basic, but the proximity to the water made up for it. There was a lovely, large hammock on the veranda. We watched the herons paddling around the cove, although one got scared away by our neighbour who wanted to get close with his camcorder! :-(

I did get a bit paranoid when I saw a cockroach in the bathroom, but my husband trapped it under the toilet bush holder, and we didn't see any others during our stay. I think 'roaches are an inevitable part of life in FL.

The resort offers free paddleboards and bikes for use by guests, but unfortunately the weather was overcast and rainy, so we didn't see the resort at its fullest potential. I'd dreamed of watching the sunset, but alas, it wasn't to be. With check-in at 1600, sunset at 1800 and check-out at 1000, we wouldn't have had much time anyway during our one-night stay.

There isn't much around the hotel, but we took a walk to Sundownders for dinner, and Jimmy Johnson's for a cocktail. There isn't much nightlife in Key Largo, presumably because most people are up early to enjoy the diving. Most things close at about 2100. We enjoyed a beer or two on the veranda before bed.

There is no breakfast, but morning coffee is available from the hut outside. It was just a quick sprint from our room over there.

The resort has a pool, but again because of the weather, we didn't get to enjoy it.

I would love to return for a longer stay with better weather! I can totally see how romantic it would have been on a glorious evening.

Beautiful surroundings

Fantastic hotel and dive spot right on the water. It’s so nice to have everything all together. We rented gear (including a go pro camera), walked 30 seconds to the dock and had incredible dives. We went to molasses reef which was beautiful. Our guide Kalen was fantastic, especially helping us get back in the boat in some chop. Grace did a great job talking about the dives, as well as recommendations for food and other dive locations. The front desk was really sweet and helpful. Room was clean with all the right amenities. Pool is heated. Great spot to watch the sunset too. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic all in one dive/hotel spot

Great place. Even better people working there. From the phone, to the front desk, to the boat crews, accommodating, friendly staff. They seem to enjoy what they're doing. Enjoyed every minute, definitely planning on future return trips!

Returned for a second visit this year

Front desk staff were helpful and kind. Our bed was so comfortable. Spacious room with a great view. Scenic views of the water. We loved sitting out on the dock that overlooked the water. There are dive tours you can book on the property. 

Highly recommend staying here. 

Overall the resort was good.  Comfortable rooms and nice staff.  Enjoyed the pool and sunset from the beach/jetty.  I had two issues with the hotel: 1) the light outside our room was perpetually on so it always felt like dawn even in the middle of the night.  And no blackout curtains.  2) for an island with somewhat limited resources and based in conservation and nature I was disappointed by all the plastic (plastic containers and cutlery from on-site food truck, plastic cups in rooms, plastic toiletries) and NO RECYCLING!  I found this very disturbing.  I would stay here again if they would update to non-plastic or limited plastic in room cups and toiletries.

Nice resort but LOTS of plastic and NO recycling - bummer for an ocean-based resort

The staff were all very friendly and kind! Answering any and all questions. All with a smile on their faces! Our suite was very clean and well stocked! Beautiful view of the ocean from their private beach, and they had amazing trip add-ons for sunset cruises and snorkeling/diving trips!

Amazing resort!!

I've been a dive master for a few years and can't speak highly enough about the Amory dive center and the staff from the captains, the instructors, and DMs. One of the most  knowledgeable, entertaining, safe, and welcoming group of people I have met at a dive center, can't wait to come back, Dave 

Top notch 

We wanted an easy dive vacation, with minimal fuss.  Amoray provides exactly that.   Our room was literally a 10 second walk from the dive boat.  After the dive, we could rest on the two comfortable sofas in the room until hopping in the car and getting to any one of a dozen restaurants in under ten minutes.  It doesn’t get any easier.  It’s not fancy, but it was exactly what we wanted.
