Long story short, we had several nights booked elsewhere, place turned out to be a dump. After one night we opted to find a nicer hotel. Having no idea where to stay, we stopped at the key west visitor center. Tranquility came highly recommended by the staff. So we drove over to check it out the hotel. Tranquility's staff was great, they showed us the couple of available rooms they had. We looked at 3 room, all were very nice. After hearing our horror story of the previous night elsewhere they offered the room to us at a reduced rate with a promise from us to return on a future visit. Great place to stay.We will be back! Hotel is old key west style on the outside, inside the room, its very modern, high end and clean! close to everything. Couple blocks from duval st, shops, etc... close enough to walk to the bar, yet quite enough to actually rest at night. Hotel was under construction when we were there, they are investing big bucks into this place and it shows! cant wait to go back and see it when its complete! Highly recommended.

Perfect place to stay in Key West!!

We only stayed at The Tranquilty Guesthouse for one night, and it was a very cozy and a relaxing night! We drank wine at the veranda outside our room in the evening, and coffee early in the morning. We had a morning bath in pool. The service was great, the breakfast ok. The room was nice but bed was rather small, and the bathroom was so big that I could stay there all day:)
I really want stay at this guesthouse if I ever go back to Key West sometime!

Very cozy :)

We booked this guesthouse at the last minute and were not disappointed. We were advised at the moment of booking that the structure was undergoing restructure, however the workers were very mindful and didn't start too early.  The room was very spacious and the bathroom was new and beautiful and we found a welcoming pack with internet log on and local instructions.The staff was very friendly and helpful and even though the breakfast was basic, it was included in the price and in our opinion a bargain. The guesthouse it's within walking distance to Duval St and the centre of the town. The only thing we missed is the lack of parking, but it's seems to be a common issue in Key West. There are several car parks nearby and quite cheap for 24 hrs parking ($16). We would definitely go back.

Close to Duval but far from the noise and crowd

Spent 2 nights during Winter vacation, the location of the guest house is excellent, only few blocks away from Duval street, in a cozy neighborhood. Free parking spaces available in the adjacent streets. 

The attached guesthouse is under renovation, therefore it can be a bit messy at the entrance. The common spaces are not well maintained, and some spots dirty. Free breakfast, not excellent. Pool is also not great, Jacuzzi was not in use. 

On the other hand, the room was clean, very cozy and comfortable, in a good Key West style. Prices were quite high but normal for the high season. 

Overall a pleasant guesthouse feeling, nice rooms but the rest needs to be improved given the prices you are paying.

Nice Rooms, poor common spaces

We stayed at the Tranquility Guesthouse from December 12th to the 19th of last year. We had booked our reservations online. When we arrived after 7pm we were shown briefly around the house and then shown to our room. We had to have the desk person show us how to work the safe because the instructions were not printed very large and you had to lie on the floor to read them. Days later we could not open the safe because the back was missing off the safe's battery compartment and the tape holding the batteries had come off.   Our first morning there we awoke to all sorts of construction noises. When we went down to the pool we found that one of the hot tubs was empty and the other was not warm. The main pool which was behind the Flemming house (the pool behind the Tranquility Guesthouse has no sun) had workers coming and going all day long. I believe the only day that there was not construction was on Sunday. So this was the way our week went waking to construction, watching trees being cut down, and houses being fumigated (also got to see a rat trying to find a new home because of the construction). The day before we left a manager from one of you other sites (which we did not know they had) said we were supposed to be told at check in that there was construction going on and that they maybe could have moved use to a different site. That never happened. Because it was at the end of our week I said nothing until check out. Went we checked out I had mention to your person that we were not told of the work being done went we checked in. She said she was sorry and that she could give us 20% back. I did not take the 20% asked her to have the manager call me. She made a copy of my bill and wrote my concerns and phone # on the back. No one ever called back. I call back was given a contact #, left a message but again no call back. Also send an E-mail with no response. As for the rooms they were small and a like old. The breakfast was okay but the wine tasting was not always set up at the appropriate time.  The price we paid for the room was not worth the money. We will never stay there again.
