Fined for smoking in clearly defined smoking area with ash tray.   No warning, just fined.   All signage and warnings were followed.  Set proper expectations if smoking area is not area with ashtrays.  Absurd. After a snow, a ticket was placed on windshield of car with another fee stating pass was not visible...because it snowed..
 it was on the dash.  Hot tubs had  gross scum all the way around. Contacted management... they blamed HOA... non empathetic... and blocked my number with no resolution.  They don't care... it's like oh well nothing we can do.   This ruined my Colorado stay.  Avoid this location at all costs.   Its like a housing community that really hates the fact that there are guests. Dont stay here unless you want to be fined/harassed the whole stay.

Fees, harassment, gross hot tubs and poor management define this stay

I rented a 2 bedroom condo for a night and found the room to be nice, but a quality sleep a bit hard to get.  The kitchen was well furnished and the room had a large dining area and area to watch TV and socialize.  The view at the window was nice and the parking convenient.  The problem was that I could hear everyone walking on the second floor.  Fortunately they did not stay up late, but the sound was annoying.  The bigger problem for me was the bedroom.   The bed was comfortable, but since the room did not have central heating, it took forever for the baseboard heaters to really warm up the room.  It was not cold but it wasn't comfortable for a period of time.  Keystone did do a good job of having the heaters on at a decent temperature when you arrive at the room.  The biggest problem was the wooden slat blinds in the room.  They do not block out the light nor did the blinds go completely down.  So I had to sleep with light shining in from the parking lot.  For 350 a night I would expect better in a room.  Perhaps if I didnt have bedrooms that faced the parking lot this wouldn't have been an issue.  But I did.

Nice room but tough to sleep

This was our second time at keystone resort and we stayed at the pines condos. I want to say that overall we love skiing at this resort and the ski school for adults and kids is amazing. The room, however, for the price, is highly outdated with little amenities. We stayed in a one bedroom unit with a loft and the place was spacious with a nicely stocked kitchen and a great view of the mountains.  That is the extent of the positive things to say though. This
 is certainly going to sound like a first world complaint but we spent 1990 dollars for a 4 night stay(almost 500 a night), 2 adults 2 kids (ages 9 and 11) and the room was outdated, musty carpet, old grout in the tubs. The ability for temp control of the room was terrible. I also wish that the sales agent at keystone we rented from had given more advice about rooms on the resort when you have small kids. This condo is far from the parking lot and you have to go up and down stairs multiple times with all your suitcases, skiing gear and groceries. It was physically exhausting to move all our stuff in and and out of the unit. Additionally, there are no cleaning services for the entire time we stayed there. I certainly didn't realize that when we booked the location.(something the agent failed to tell me about on the phone) I just find that for the 500/night we spent, we would  have received a little more amenities or even customer service. I saw only one keystone lodging representative who brought us a sheet set for the sofa bed the entire time we stayed there. We, in the end, paid for the views but in retrospect, wish we  would have just stayed at a nearby airbnb. It would have been a tremendous savings and maybe even a nicer place.


Great views and skiing but room is outdated with little amenities

We stayed a week in a third floor condo. There was an elevator, which helped. Although it could use some updating, it was very comfortable and clean. The views were great. We did some ATV riding and played both of the golf courses in Keystone. The only negative we found here was the distance from the parking lot to the lobby of the building we were in. There was a series of steps to negotiate getting from the lot to the building. This made it a hassle getting our luggage, groceries, etc. to and from the condo. In fairness, the listing did advise it was not handicap accessible.

Awesome views

We stayed three nights in the Foxtail building for a quick ski trip.  Our two-bedroom, two-bath condo was spacious and slept the five of us quite comfortably.  Great views of the mountains out the back of the condo.  Easy shuttle ride to the lifts. The pool area is AWESOME - large pool with two large hot tubs.  The kids swam every night.  

The place was clean and well-kept, but the bathrooms and kitchen were a little outdated but functional.  The Foxtail building is toward the back, so we did not hear any road or other outdoor noise.  That said, we heard every footfall and drop in the condo above us.  Plus, we could hear them...um...use the bathroom...loudly.  The guests were on a similar schedule to us, so it wasn't disruptive, but if we'd had rowdier neighbors, it would have impacted our comfort level.  We would definitely book a condo in the Pines again, but we would request the top floor.

Spacious with good location

The condo is located about 5 minutes from the Keystone ski slopes. We drove to the ski slopes every day, but their was a shuttle available. The view out the back of the condo was beautiful. The condo we stayed in, 2080, was a little outdated, but very clean and cozy. Bring your own pillow and be prepared to use the same towel everyday. The pool and hot tub area had an amazing view and was very nice.
