Dakota Lodge at River Run Village is a multi-story condo complex in the Keystone Resort area.  The condos are not large, but have full size appliances in the kitchen. The lodge is convenient to everything in Keystone resort. We visited during the CoVid 19 pandemic and were impressed with the extra cleaning and efforts to reassure patrons that the area was a safe place to be.  The pool/spa area was by appointment only, but the technology sometimes crashed as the limited appointments were snapped up quickly.  The directions were not entirely clear, but the pool attendant gave us a couple of pointers on how to get on the waiting list (not mentioned in the directions) so we had a couple of short times in the pool during our stay. The units are not air conditioned and since our unit faced west and we happened to be there during a heat wave it got pretty warm between 4:00-6:00 pm, but cooled down quickly in the evening. Different management companies rent out different units. All in all it was a great place to stay during the off season. It was relatively quiet, a short walk to the Snake River and right on a bike path.  You are still in a village, but a short drive to many outdoor activities. 

Off-season visit

GREAT LOCATION and AMENITIES! First trip to Keystone after reading reviews for family friendly environment, and great reviews on The Dakota in River Run. We stayed for a week over Christmas and everything was spot on as advertised. Close to everything you could ever need - grocery store next door, ski shop across the street, as was Kidtopia and the ice rink, and quick walk to every type of restaurant, and of course the gondola. The CONDO itself was just as advertised, with fully supplied kitchen and bathroom, super warm fireplace, cozy balcony and soft bed. The property has a hot tub, heated pool and a sauna! Only issue, as has been mentioned in other reviews, was the pullout sofa bed, which was difficult to sleep on due to the very uncomfortable springs jamming into our backs and the loud noises they make when you roll over. We needed this as we let our 3 yr old child sleep in the main room while we used the fireplace, kitchen and bathroom in the evenings. The staff was amazing for anything we needed and responded quickly. Also, as noted in previous reviews, trying to understand the remotes (3  or 4 of them) was super confusing, and finally called staff to assist and they explained. Parking was very convenient. GREAT LOCATION and AMENITIES!

Dakota lodge is great. It’s close to everything, even a ice skating rink. It has a nice heated pool and great hot tubs! It’s great. The ONLY downfall is how slow the elevator is. And when you have people with lots of gear it’s hard to take the stairs! So if you are planning on staying here, keep this in mind. It took a good hour just
To get our stuff from our car to our room. But the slow elevator won’t keep us from
Coming back! We will just pack differently!

Great location 

Very close to lifts at River run, and ski hire centre, Lodge has nice swimming pool, underground parking, sauna, laundry room. The kitchen is well equipped although the restaurant are just a short walk away.

The room was clean, and it was very convenient to everything. Great hospitality and friendly staff. The room was a bit small for 4 people, a two bedroom would have worked out better for us but all in all it was a great place.

Great location!

I rented a studio condo for a snowboarding trip for my son's birthday.  I was told that it is sufficient for two adults to sleep.  Well, it's adequate sleeping arrangements.  The Murphy Bed was good size, but it was horribly uncomfortable.  The fold out couch had a thin mattress, so my son decided to sleep on the couch.  He said it was okay.

However, I feel like it was so convenient to the gondola, the shops, the bars and the restaurants that it was well worth the money.  Also, the apartment was nice with a gas fireplace and large bathroom.  A nice large area to hang wet clothes after the slopes.  There's a decent lobby with a pool table and two large hot tubs right outside.  

Overall, this was a nice place, but the beds could be a little more comfortable.  I guess you could say that about most places, however.

So Convenient

Rented condo 8474 for the weekend. Check-in was easy once we found the office but was soon disappointed when told that parking for the second vehicle would cost $15/nt. When we booked the condo we were told we would be given 1 inside parking pass and the other vehicle would need to park in the Montezuma lot. No mention anywhere of an overnight fee.
Next, we went to our condo and as soon as we opened the door there was an odor, something stale. The windows in this unit had not been opened in quite some time and the place smelled musty. Also, the carpets looked like someone worked on a motor in the living room. Stains, dirt and totally filthy condition. I understand these are not new units but for $300+/nt they should be clean.
Next we found a Gatorade bottle on the balcony that had been used as an ashtray and loaded with cigarette butts. We called the office ad advised them of the bottle to make sure we would not get charged for smoking in the unit.
Kitchen was clean and came with everything we needed, same with the baths.
Pros:
Convenient if you're attending an event in Keystone.
Nice pool and hot tub area, with towels.
Outstanding staff, especially Michaela! This young lady should be rewarded. What an excellent employee.
Cons:
Overlooks the pool & hot tub area so tons of noise. Even after the 10PM quiet time rule. Called the office at 12:30pm to report a loud party. 15 minutes on hold before anyone answered and they only answered because I pressed the emergency number.
Absolutely filthy carpets. No way would I let a child crawl on this floor. Wore shoes all weekend so our socks didn't get dirty.
Facility carpets were no better. Lots of stains and a huge area in the middle of our hall that was wet all weekend.
Check out is 10AM, pretty early by most standards.

Needs cleaning!

The Dakota Lodge is a very clean and comfortable place to stay in River Run Village. Parking is convenient. The heated pool and hot tub are wonderful for relaxing after a day of skiing. The lot is located conveniently close to the Gondola.
