Great location on a quieter and calm beach. The grounds were well kept and amenities worked great. It was perfect for a girl’s trip (multiple FULL bathrooms!). The host was incredibly helpful in navigating the island and getting ideas on things to do. Roosters woke you up every morning though and the TVs did not work, a very very small price to lay for a great location in paradise.

Beautiful Calm Beachfront

Nani Kai Hale is a maybe 40 yr old condo complex but is well maintain, clean and a nice contrast to the large resorts.  Right on Sugar Beach with a great patio, lawn and pool.  Sugar Beach Events is next door so when they had a Luau going we could listen to the music on the lawn or in the pool...an unexpected bonus.  1 bedroom, a sleeper sofa in the living room, two bathrooms and nice kitchen was a perfect setup for us.

Our rate was very affordable and the location is central in Maui so makes it easy to get to Kahului, Lahaina and Wailea (of course nothing is near Hana).

Large Resort Alternative

This is a one bed room condo with a small kitchen and a living/dining area.  The unit has a balcony with narrow view of the beach/ocean.  The property is accessed from a quiet cul-de-sac.  It has direct access to the beach with a private grassed area between the building and the beach with lounge chairs, tables and a BBQ area.  The building and grounds were well maintained.  The units in the building are privately owned.  While I believe they are all similar these comments apply only to Unit 208.  Access to the units is from an outside walkway on the south side of the building.  Windows for the rooms are on the north side.  Very small windows on the south side provide ventilation.  The unit has air conditioning, but we did not need it.  The unit suited our (2 people) needs and we would stay there again.  There is a sofa bed in the living room area.  
The tile floors, the 2 bathrooms and the windows could have been cleaner.
The is no grocery store near by within walking distance.

Great holiday stay.

We love Nani Kai Hale! It is in a great location in north Kihei. We loved walking to Ululani’s to get shaved ice (almost daily). Easy access to the highway to get to other parts of the island. We have stayed in 2 different units at this complex (in 2017 and 2018) and both were pretty similar. It is small so not crowded at all, and everyone is really friendly. Free parking and plenty of spots. The beach isn’t great for swimming or snorkeling but wonderful to walk and enjoy the scenery. I would recommend staying here for anyone looking for a low-key, relaxed environment. I’m sure we will be back! 

Great location; no crowds 

Loved the condo, the people, the beach, the location everything....except an event center has opened up beside it. Yes they have to be inside with the doors closed after 11 PM, but every time someone opens the door you get a blast of music. There were four events out of the seven nights we were there and had to sleep with the windows closed - so much for that pounding surf.
