We are very disappointed in this property management.  Yesterday we found multiple cockroaches in the kitchen.  They promised to take care of it. Today after a full day of exploring we return and as soon as I opened the dishwasher (to unload after a wash cycle last night) there are at least 3 cockroaches inside.  Forget eating or drinking off the dinnerware/silverware that you think is clean, and forget cooking anything in the kitchen because the bugs are inside the oven as well.    Oh, and the BBQs are is right next to the huge garbage bins.... yuck.

We stayed in Unit 207 for 2 weeks.   The unit is equipped with everything you need and the in unit washer/dryer was a great bonus.  The beach offers great swimming and walking for a couple of miles.  There is a nice pool , lots of loungers around the property as well as 2 bbq’s for your use.

Great views

This was our third time staying at Kihei Beach. This time we stayed in #307. The condo is a one bedroom with two baths. The kitchen and bathrooms were updated, and comfortable. What we love about this place is the location, and also it's not a large complex. It's pretty quiet with mostly older people like us. We have the beach to ourselves, and every unit has a great lanai to sit on and watch the sunset. The only thing I would like to have is a washer/dryer in the condo. However, there is a laundry room nearby. For us it feels like our home away from home.  We'll be back.

Great place to stay

My wife and I spent 8 days in unit #306 at Kihei Beach.  Being our first trip to Maui, we did a lot of research on where to stay and ultimately decided to stay in Kihei (in general) and at Kihei Beach specifically.

The town of Kihei was the perfect location from where to explore the island and this condo at Kihei Beach came exactly as advertised.  The building was literally right on the beach which offered an amazing view of the endless beach along with unobstructed daily sunsets from the lanai.  The 1 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo itself was spacious for 2, clean and nicely updated with a very-well equipped kitchen.  The in-suite washer and dryer was very convenient and the supplied beach chairs, beach towels and cooler were great amenities!  The bathrooms were showing a bit of age, but nothing that detracted from them.  And while we didn't use them, there were on-site barbeques and a pool available for guests.

We booked this unit though Ali'i Resorts, and they were a pleasure to deal with.  We were met promptly by a representative at the condo who walked through the unit with us to ensure it was spotless for our arrival and to answer any questions we had.  An unexpected surprise was the card and small gift from Ali'i waiting for us, acknowledging a birthday just before our arrival.  We called Ali'i on a couple of occasions during our stay to help with a luau booking (with which they were very helpful and took care of the reservations directly for us!) and to answer a question on the washing machine (they were very responsive!).  During our stay, there was a small fire in another condo in the building (separate floor and opposite side of the building), and Ali'i had a rep on site to meet with us and ensure our condo was unaffected (they even came by a few hours later to double-check on us!).  All in all, their attention to detail made our stay even better.

The building was at the north end of Kihei, which placed it away from the main amenities in town so it did require us to drive to restaurants, grocery stores and shopping...but we really enjoyed being away from the central hub of town.

We really enjoyed our first trip to Maui, and the accommodations at Kihei Beach made it that much more memorable.

First time on Maui

My family and I stayed in until 210 last month, the unit itself was alright however the building and facilities are showing their age. There was plenty of space for all six of us in the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit. The kitchen was mostly clean and was equipped with everything one would need. The rest of the place was pretty clean with the exception of the floor, which is more a reflection of the cleaning service than the unit itself. The views from the lanai are beautiful and we spent time enjoying them with our morning or evening beverages. Although the unit had a brand new washer dryer set, it was not hooked up. We counted on having the ability to do laundry in our unit as we were in Maui for 14 days.  Daniel did respond with a $50 credit for the inconvenience, however considering I spent half of that on the on site laundry machines (that were disgusting and in small smelly rooms), and the time constraints of the washers and dryers, it really wasn’t sufficient. The walkways/hallways within the property were more often than not soaking wet, with huge puddles everywhere. It wasn’t possible to walk to and from the unit without getting our feet wet. The elevator worked sometimes, but when attempting to do laundry on the 5th floor, it wouldn’t go past 3, leaving us to carry clothes up and down stairs while walking through puddles on the ground. The pool was a putrid shade of gross (when it was open), following that it was closed for a couple of days for repairs. This was a huge inconvenience to my mother in law that doesn’t swim in the ocean. Other guests went to an aquatic centre to compensate for not having the onsite pool. There are lovely trees and vegetation on the property, unfortunately the grounds aren’t very well maintained. The farmers market and shops across the street are very convenient, we also went to The Times grocery store, which was a short drive south. The beach is beautiful and literally right there. I enjoyed taking walks and cooling down in the water. There are so many fantastic places to stay in Maui, but this isn’t one of them. I wouldn’t recommend this property nor would I stay there again myself. 

Aging Building and Facilities 

Great location, right on the beach- can walk for miles down the beach.  Each room has a patio, we enjoyed eating meals out there.  It was a great room!  2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen with washer and dryer- didn’t have to pack as much clothes!  Recommend staying here

The  gentle wind blows as you swim in the clear  warm water with fish and waves. Little  tree shade that must be shared with others.Can be too windy for an umbrella at times.Lots of condos  along the beach.A few stores and a farmer's market. Bring your snorkeling gear. This is not your wild tourist ,drinking partying beach.

Miles of white snad beaches

This is a well-maintained condo resort right on the beach in Kihei. It's a couple of miles north of the main part of town, so if you want restaurants and bars etc, you'll need to drive or peddle to get there. If you want a relaxing atmosphere, with gorgeous views of the sunset, this is your place.

It was exactly what my husband and I wanted... a full kitchen where we could do our own cooking, a comfortable living area, king size bed in bedroom and two full bathrooms. The units are individually owned and some have had extensive updating, while others have been partially updated. Unit 204 is in the 'partial' stage. There is a beautiful full kitchen. There a a few things looking worn and needing replacement, like the ceiling fan, and some of the furnishings, but overall it was very nice and VERY comfortable.

Best things about it... the VIEW! KBR is situated perfectly for enjoying the beautiful sunsets. The beach is fantastic... soft sand, gentle slope and small waves. There is a canoe club right next door and it makes for some entertainment on Ma'alaea Bay. There was even a high school canoe rowing competition while we were there and it's fun to sit on the Lanai and watch. We saw whales a couple of times but this trip was right at the beginning of whale season, so there weren't too many there yet. In January/February, there would be many more to be seen.

It's close the the Marina at Ma'alaea bay and there are fishing charters, whale watching and snorkle excursions that are based there. It's also close the Wailea where there are great restaurants, shopping, etc.

I would definitely stay here again!

Location!

We stayed here for 6 nights.  Sunsets each night were beautiful.  The water was warm.  This location is close enough to everything you need yet far enough away that you are not crowded.  The most people on the beach at one time was 12 !!!!!  Not a crowded resort area but a comfortable relaxing home away from home indeed.  Everything was immaculate and well taken care of.

Spent a fantastic week at this property. Location perfect on Sugar Beach. Lucky to see more than twenty people on a beach that stretches 6 miles. Resort is right on the beach with more sunshine than all of Maui. Property is well maintained thanks to the hard work of Justin. Room very clean and has been updated . Room stocked with condiments for cooking and toiletries along with chairs, cooler and floaties for the beach. Very relaxing place but probably not for the younger crowd. There is an ABC store and a bakery store across the street which is very handy. For night life and restaurants you have to drive about ten minutes or take a bus. Will go back again if I can get the same room. nice little paradise thanks to the owners of this suite.
