Me and my family stayed for a week the new house keeper was very nice and very helpful the rooms were very clean all new sheets and everything was washed and cleaned the owner was very nice and responded when something was needed extra of this motel has very nicely improved and alot better and big difference on the room being cleaned since our last stay last year the room was amazing I slept very well and I would definitely come back but the difference in the room I hope the owner keeps this house keeper did a very well and through  and through clean in the whole room

Very nice

We had a great stay at Val Roc for a long ski weekend. It was the closest motel to the mountain with availability. Only a 2 min drive to the gondola. The room itself was exactly what you pay for. Decent bed, tv, fridge and microwave. Real good heater and spacious room. Checkin was easy as well as checkout. The only complaint I would have is the hot water ran out very quickly. But besides that, we loved our stay and would certainly come back.

Great spot next to the slopes!

This place should be condemned. There was strong smell of moisture and "funk" in my room. The heat was either surface of the sun hot, or freezing cold. The first night I didn't have hot water. This place is just disgusting and I'll never stay here again.

Dont Stay Here!

We stayed here for two nights in unit 15. Place was clean, heat and hot water worked quickly, and beds were comfortable. It was very close to the skyship gondola, we enjoyed parking here as opposed to the main lodge.I called to let the owner the time we'd be arriving and he simply told was which unit to go in left the door open with the key inside the room, which made for a very easy check in! It was nice to just go right in after a long drive. We used the hot tub around 7pm on our second night. It is through the main office so we called to make sure we could use it, Dan opened it up for us and it was perfect on a snowy night. There is currently no food or coffee available due to covid. I was unaware of this, but Dan was nice to let me use the Keurig in the main office in the morning before we went to the mountain. As mentioned in other reviews, there is not usually someone in the main office, but it looks like the main office may be connected to their personal home and Dan was very available. He usually answered the phone, or if I left a voice mail he responded promptly. 

Overall q conveient no fuss place that offered basic accommodations at a good price, plus a sweet hot tub on the back porch. Thanks Dan!

Great place to stay at killington

We stayed at Val Roc Inn last week and caught an early season snow storm. My wife and I are from Florida, so it was a nice treat. The room was clean and comfortable

laid out with a couch that made it feel like a living room. There is a refrigerator and microwave that will come in handy when we go back for a week in February. Val Roc is

only a half mile to the Killington Skyeship Gondola making it a quick trip to the mountain. This is a great location and the owner was very helpful with local info.

Val Roc Killington Vermont 

One mile to the Rt. 4 Gondola.  Reasonable rates.  Microwave and fridge in room!  Let it snow!  Coming from the south and east you can avoid  the journey up the Killington access road and still be close to the sky ship. Restaurants close by.

Just what I need

we got into town 3 hours before our check in and Dan(owner) let us check in and change in our room so we didnt have to change in our car in the parking lot.
Our room was clean and big enough for the 3 of us & our dog( the best part... theyre pet friendly). So close to the gondola yet so inexpensive

Dan's the man!

Stayed here two nights when my son ran the Spartan Beast. Reasonably priced. Close to Killington ski resort. Room was clean. Had mini fridge and microwave. Bathroom was clean.Towels were clean. Shower had good water pressure. Owner was friendly. I'd definitely stay again next race!

Not fancy, but clean.

If you are looking for luxury or amenities, this would not be the place to stay.  However, if you are a serious skier who will be on the slopes all day and just need a place to sleep - the Val Roc is a perfect place.  Every year a group of us spend a week at Killington, and for the past 16 years, we've been at the Val Roc.  

The rooms and furniture are old and dated, but they are clean and comfortable.  The prices are very reasonable.  The rooms have a microwave, a small refrigerator and a coffee maker. Dan the owner is a great guy, and can give you tons of suggestions about the slopes as well as where to eat, etc.

Again, our group is more concerned about catching the first chair of the day, and we generally don't return until after 5 or 6 pm, so this is a perfect place to grab a shower and catch some sleep before making fresh tracks the next morning.
