So I stayed there cause my company paid for it. I had business up in killington and the breakfast the chef was amazing cooked anything I wanted, and he cooked to order and was fast. Then for dinner he was there again I don’t think he goes home lol but the food omg was out of this world. I had deer meat, my wife had veal. Now to top it off we went out for drinks the chef faces us a ride there and back cause there were no taxi’s. We will be going back

The best time we ever had and will be back

Beautiful location manned by a skeleton crew. In the 2 days and nights we visited, there were 2 different people responsible for the kitchen. The hotel manger was also the bartender and part of the cleaning crew. Breakfasts, termed country breakfasts, were steamer trays of eggs, sausage and bacon. One morning we had pancakes. On the second day - French toast. The eggs were hard and dry. Coffee was terrible. Let’s hope the owners get their act together in the kitchen.

Beautiful setting, poor amenities

Excellent location and a beautiful lake to relax by in the evening.  Nice amenities, comfortable rooms, newer lodge, evenings with a fire pit and s’mores to enjoy.  Friendly and knowledgeable staff, rooms were nice and bed was very comfortable.  We enjoyed our stay.

Fall foliage trip of VT100 and based from here

Lovely scenic location next to a large pond with use of canoes, kayaks; tasty cooked breakfast (included). But lodge seriously understaffed: dirty dishes not cleared away till following day, rooms not properly prepared (clogged sink, damp), uncomfortable twin beds in one room, dining room closed Monday/Tuesday. Would go back if improvements made.

We checked in on a Monday and found the restaurant was closed, even though we have made a reservation only a couple weeks before. We weren’t the only couple who had made a reservation and no one told us it was closed. The woman at the front desk was actually going to cook us dinner since they didn’t have a chef which was sweet but we declined the offer. 

 The bar was open on Monday but closed Tuesday and Wednesday. We had some wine down stairs on Tuesday evening and left our dirty glasses on the table. The glasses where still their when we checked out on Thursday. That’s just not caring or they might be waiting for the bar to open on Thursday evening… 

The room was clean and looks like the photos you see online. We stayed in the same room in 2021 and nothing has changed. We where disappointed that their isn’t any house keeping in the morning. Back in ‘21 it was a normal Covid excuse  but for the price we paid I expect to have at least have the bed made, trash emptied and fresh towels.  We did ask for towels and they were put in the room as promised. 

The resort is peaceful and quiet. The Appalachian Trail goes thru the property. Last year we went to a falls near by, it wasn’t super hard but you should bring hiking boots and have a steady foot.   We didn’t go this year because of the rain and some areas still have flood damage. 

The resort is a nice place to relaxed and decompress.  I hope they figure out what’s going on and step it up.

Not as good as 2021 visit

This review is for the Kent Bistro only.  My husband and I have eaten all over Killington through the years and this was (by far) the best meal we have had in the area.   We had stopped in over the summer, but their kitchen was not open to the public yet. They are now though, and are SO glad that they are   We had the opportunity to meet their new Food and Beverage Director, Mark Malo, who had just come over to Mountain Meadows from Sugar Hill Inn in NH.  (Google Sugar Hill if you are looking for more proof of how good his food is.) 

We started with the French onion soup and burrata appetizers (which were delicious), followed by the salmon (cooked perfectly) and homemade butternut squash ravioli (the standout dish this meal), and finished with the mixed berry crumble with ice cream.  Honestly, everything was fantastic, the portions were very generous, and we can't wait to come back to work our way through the rest of the menu.  

The lodge  itself is warm and welcoming, with comfy lounge areas and a fire pit outside where you can make your own s'mores.  If we didn't have a place in town we would 100% stay at Mountain Meadows Lodge for our trips to Killington.  

We look forward to coming back very soon!

Amazing dining at Kent Bistro

My wife and I wanted to find a quiet retreat and we found a real gem.  The setting, just off busy Route 4, is spectacular.  The beautiful pond near the back off the lodge offers tranquility and beauty in equal measure.  We will be visiting again soon.

Hidden Treasure

Unfortunately we did not really get what we anticipated. The good things :
- lovely location at a nice pond with kayaks that were free to rent
- comfy rooms and beds 
- nice staff 
- beautiful nature 

And now comes unfortunately quite a long list of cons - the hotel is understaffed to the extend that rooms are not serviced during the stay and restaurant closes Tuesday and Wednesday 
- we found the plastic cups and plates and the trash produced during breakfast ridiculous. I would strongly recommend to change something. It does not taste to eat your breakfast from plastic cutlery. Yuck 
It’s also quite unacceptable that table and table mat never got cleaned and we had the same stains on our mats that we had the morning before. 
- the area is not suitable for a stay midweek in October . Many attractions or restaurants were closed and that’s why we left after two nights instead of 3

Since the location is nice and the staff were nice too I would think you can do much more out of this place . Dear management please consider to change things !

Nice stay - but could do so much better

My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful time for two nights in early October, as we traveled to Vermont for leaf peeping.  The staff at the lodge were amazing, and made us feel like celebrities!  The service, food, and accomodations were impeccable, and the time spent outside near the pond was extraordinarily relaxing.  What made the biggest difference for us, and we both travel often was the the staff - they were incredible!!! 

An Amazing Place to Relax  in Vermont

My wife and I spent four nights here and were mostly happy. The location is real nice on the lake with a small farm and decent landscaping. The outdoor fire every night was fun with free S'mores. Our room was comfortable with a small dech looking at the lake. The common spaces are nicely done with a covered deck. Breafast was ok with plenty of options, serve yourself  on weekdays Table service on weekends. Dinner on Friday night was a pleasent surprise. Roasted chicken with veggies and mashed potato's. I had Risotto stuffed Butternut squash with four drinks it was $60. The bar area is comfortable. Our only gripe is what another review said the sink is to small and the water does slpash out and the shower does the same thing. Overall a real good stay with a helpful friendly staff throughout
