Dated but very clean inexpensive place to just sleep on the way . No huge extra resort fees like chain hotels . One price . Reasonable and clean and maintained well by a very nice caring couple and their son. If you want simple comfortable and inexpensive but a little dated this would work

Clean simple dated but reasonable price

I know the earlier reviews about this motel were less than stellar but the room I stayed in last night was great.  Neat, clean, lots of power outlets, everything worked well.  And the room rate was very fair.  Maybe the other people staying there didn't get lucky but I've already made another reservation 

Not as bad as some might say.

Old motel with some piecemeal updates so don’t expect consistency.  Owner “Kim” was helpful in recommending things to do in her town which we appreciated.  The bed was comfortable for a short stay.  Room had a pleasant scent.  Our room was lacking a smoke detector and the 2nd floor railing looks like it’s detaching from the wall.  This could be a cuter place with some design updates to bring it up to 4 or 5 stars.  Dirt Filled-in pool and peach/turquoise paint color are an eyesore.

Ok for a budget

So happy that we decided to stop in Kingman! The Rambling Rose was really accommodating, the lady behind the desk was polite and friendly. The room was clean and I would stay there again. Not far from some cool bars and food joints in Kingman. Felt safe there and slept well. 

Good place to stop for the night!

The hotel has in one word 'primitive. The rooms are reasonably clean but apart from a bed there is nothing. No chair, no fridge, no coffee, nothing.
The staff was not unfriendly but clueless about the procedings.

A very primitive hotel

on a stormy night, after reading the reviews we showed-up at the front register.  the $50 room rate drew us there.  After a brief wait the clerk showed-up, informed me that two beds were $65, not $50, and refused to show me the room prior to renting, a condition that i had stipulated.  she explained that she didn't want to go out in the cold and i offered to show myself in with the key which she refused...  i found her manner un-accommodating enough for me to know better than to stay under her roof.  i hope she is more welcoming to other visitors than she was to me!

For the money  $62 I had a 1950's style motel room. It was fairly spacious with a queen sized bed and efficient air conditioning. 
Where the Ramblin Rose scores for me is the room design and the furniture. There is enough draw space to accomodate 2 people who had flown with 2 times 23 kg suitcase in real wood not laminate. Hanging space of over 3 feet, a  good 4 feet of desk space, an additional well illuminated makeup table AND a table and 2 chairs. Being on the original Route 66 also adds a touch of glamour. There is also a large fridge, microwave and a kettle and coffee jug together with a good sized TV

Read the negative reviews but we thought this hotel was excellent value for money. Easy walk into the older part of town with bars and restaurants. Rome was clean and everything was in good condition. Great facilities for the price paid. If you, like us, are not super fussy and want good value then this hotel will suit.

Great value

We have stayed here multiple times over the past six years. It is always very clean and relatively quiet. Nice staff. The rooms are a bit dated and also comfortable. Bathrooms are small but functional. TV and internet work fine. We always sleep well here. Recommend.

Great Budget Stay

Best room $50 can buy (and I'd be willing to pay more). The room is dated but it has several updates including a microwave and fridge and flat screen tv. The heater worked great and drowned out the train. But if you are in Kingman, almost everywhere you will hear the train. The bed was comfortable and clean. Bathroom is small but serviceable. But the highlight for us was the accommodating and friendly nature of the proprietors. I had to call and change my not cancellable reservation and they said "no problem". And we ended up arriving at 12:30 at night even though they "closed" the office at 11:30. We called around 10 once we knew how late we would be and they said, "no problem, just ring the night bell".
The room also has a table, two chairs, a desk and a large closet.
