What was good

John Muir Lodge was delightfully comfortable and on the edge of Kings Canyon in the main village - it is modern and beautifully furnished. It worked very well as a stopover between exploring Sequoia Park and Kings Canyon itself. However, since the pandemic, there is no foood served in the lodge. We ordered 2 salads and 2 pizzas for supper expecting them to be large and family sized. However the pizzas were the size of a small sideplate but the cost was US$62 which was outrageous for what we had. Not impressed.

What was good
Very well located right inside the park and within walking distance to campsites, stores and Visitor Center. Rooms had fridge, no microwave.

Very expensive for a basic room.
