Clean older motel with HUGE Rooms perfect for coming up a day early to move teen in for college the next day.  This way stuff doesn't get stolen from car overnight and you don't have to haul a ton of stuff down a hallway or elevator since door faces parking lot spaces. New tub, toilet, sink, walls freshly painted, carpet clean. Mini fridge big, clean and cold. Wooden furniture is worn with Knicks etc but hey 50% cheaper than next door hotel. Beds are Firm (also have mattress covers on them under the sheets which is nice). No breakfast (54 Diner like 4 min away is good for that). Takes awhile for little newer air conditioning to get room cool but OK in couple hours. 

Great for day before College Dorm Move in day

Properly needs a lot of work...modernizing, repairs and maintenance.   The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean.  Beds weren't very comfortable and the AC was noisy.  The proty has potential but requires significant investment to bring on par with competitors.   We cannot recommend.  We would only stay here again in a pinch.

Gross and smelly. In need of a revamp ASAP! Lesson learned. But if you like “retro” and moldy smells you might like it. If you book a room here bring air freshener, blankets, and towels. Good luck and safe travels.

I would never stay at a knights inn this place was an exception...the owner was very plesant and the rooms were great for the price. Found this place was built in 1960 and is very well kept up.its not a modern hotel but it is very nuce and clean

Great stay

This facility has been modestly updated since my last stay several years ago.  The rooms are much larger than other motels with basic amenities.  Don't look too hard in the corners, but this motel is a good value for the price.  I have done worse in Kirksville,and you could, too.

Fair Value; Good Condition

Knights Inn in Kirksville, MO provided a reliable rest for our final night on the road home.  Handy location, new mattress, smooth sheets, fluffy towels, good shower, clean & quiet. Our 3rd stay there; we'll be back.

Back again!

My daughter and I rode into Kirksville, Mo. late/dark on a Monday. While traveling on the Motorcycle we often stay in 2 star Hotels. Maybe 2.5 if the price is right. The Knights Inn appeared to be the lowest price Hotel in town. We decided to check in. Right away the building gives away its age, just by style though. The cleanliness stands out. Someone gives a lot attention to detail on cleanliness. We stayed in room 125.  The style of the Hotel or should say Motel because this Motel reminds me of the old Motels I read about on Historic Route 66. The Motel is ground level only. The room and beds in this room where large. There would have been room enough for the old Harley if it would fit through the door. LOL.  The room was spotless. The commode and shower room (by the way was blue) was separate from the vanity and mirror, so no steam from the shower covered the mirror.  The AC Unit worked very good, we had been in the sun all day and was toasted. My daughter said it was the best night sleep she has had all trip. Our parking spot was right out the front door.  I think all the rooms were that way. No walking up any steps. Just like it was years ago. I am in my mid 50s, so my hearing sucks. The man that checked us in was soft spoken, so I had trouble hearing and understanding him, but that was not his problem. LOL. The breakfast was cereal and juice and packaged donuts etc. Coffee was great. Of course I like mine black. Bottom line, when traveling on my HD, I would be tickled to find a place just like this when I pull over for the night. Often there are several of us bikes running together, just middle aged men on a 4-5 day trip, Motels like this would be perfect. Cleanliness speaks for itself.

BOTTOM LINE, OTHER HOTELS ARE OVERPRICED

Wow! What a surprise...nice large room with comfortable couch. We have stayed at a lot of Wyndham hotels...love the deals...but this Knights Inn has got to be one of the best.
