 Stayed 2 nights in a small cabin consisting of a King size bed pushed up against 2 walls of the cabin.  Lighting was poor.  Bathroom was very cold. (Was told the maintenance man would turn the heater on in bathroom...didn't happen.), no door mat or rug for muddy boots.  Horrible food.  Sent food back 2 out of 2 dinners we ate in their restaurant.  Last night we were there, they ran out of the first 3 things we tried to order.  They cancelled our dog-sled tour  2 days before our arrival. (moving dogs from mountain) and didn't offer compensation or a discounted alternate tour.  We paid in full 11 months for a full-priced cabin which turned out to be the worst cabin/stay of our 3 week Alaskan trip.  Will skip this spot next trip.     

Disappointed

Great little cabins with very comfy beds and linens. I had everything I needed! Dinner in the restaurant was nice with a great beer and wine selection. Breakfast was nice with eggs, biscuits and gravy as well as potatoes and the usual continental fare

It was a wonderful view, so nice and secluded. We had a wonderful time.   Had a great time watching the helicopters flying in and out.  We had great weather both days.  The restaurant was good too.

The service was great they were communicative even before we arrived, and throughout our visit. Management responds to texts immediately (this was our experience). The room was clean and there was plenty of coffee, tea, and hot coco to enjoy. They do provide earplugs due to the helicopters coming and going from 8 am to 9 pm, so expect that noise throughout the day, because of the tours. Management sent us a bottle of Champagne in celebration of our reason for visiting. We genuinely appreciated the quality of service received here. A couple pro tips to keep in mind,
1. Depending on the weather you may lose cell reception around mile marker 7 while entering or exiting via the Old Knik River rd, so be prepared to lose your streaming music or have some pre-downloaded (if you're into that)
2. Shake your clothes and shoes out for spiders as this is still the Alaskan wilderness (Aside from the cushy cabins, Restaurant, Road, and WIFI LOL). Also brink mosquito spray (those things are huge!)
Over all Alaska Glacier Lodge was a very positive experience for us.

Great Place to Stay for Beautiful Views and Stellar Customer Service

Beautiful lodge with new comfy cabins.  We stayed in a double queen cabin and it was very spacious, and immaculately clean.  There is a Keurig coffee maker and an electric kettle for boiling water for tea.  Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are provided in the shower.  There are beautiful views from the lodge and the cabins.  The staff is friendly and helpful!  Unfortunately I can’t recommend the restaurant.

Now called the Alaska Glacier Lodge under new ownership! So glad they opened their doors for the winter season! Very picturesque and quiet place to stay and just an hour drive from Anchorage. Their cabins are well maintained and very clean. It’s our second time staying there for this season. So convenient and close to many many attractions including the Knik River, the Reindeer Farm in Butte, the Musk Ox farm in Palmer, hatchers Pass to name a few. Have yet to experience their helicopter rides!  Thank you Jenn, Shawn, and Eugene for your hospitality and attention to details. Rest assured there will be more trips there!

Beautiful  place for an R&R

Situated out of Palmer, this is located with an attractive view across a small lake when not shrouded in cloud. This is a very good reason for staying as well as the base for helicopter flights. Not my favourite stay in 10 days in Alaska. I found the bed uncomfortable and squeaky and the staff offhand, and soliciting tips, which I would have been happier to give if they'd been more pleasant and beer cheaper.

Great Views . Poor Service

We enjoyed our one night stay in a king cabin.  The simple, quaint cabin had everything we needed and the restaurant and bar had great food and scenery. We enjoyed watching the helicopters take off and land for/from the glacier tours.  The outside deck from the bar/restaurant was outstanding and everyone spoke highly of the glacier tours.

Great views

We are local (Eagle River) and were looking for a quick getaway for our anniversary. Knik River Lodge did not disappoint. Our cabin was clean and we enjoyed wine and snacks on the porch, dinner in the lodge restaurant, and champagne on our porch before our included breakfast. It was rainy, but the views were still spectacular. We will definitely be back to hike their 4-mile trail and eat lunch on the deck in the sun.

Great Anniversary Getaway

Stayed at the Lodge for access to the helicopters and glacier rides.  Great food, friendly people, accommodations just fine for our party of 8, including 4 kids.  Nice drive from Anchorage, fun little stops along the way.   Loved it all.
