I was extremely pleasantly surprised about this location. Not trying to be labeling but most Motel 6 have a reputation not so well. But this location is not in the negative categories my opinion. The rooms are clean well-maintained and modern. The staff is respectful well trained and down to earth. The price is the best you're going to get when they do not require a deposit and they do accept cash!! I highly recommend anyone to give this location yours business because it's well worth it.

Don't judge a book by its title

Our trip was for a family emergency which ended with a funeral. The staff was very friendly and excellent at trying to accommodate for our family's needs. Only complaints would be that rooms need updated and need to have handicap accessible rooms for guests with special needs who require a full-time caregiver.

Friendly, reasonably-priced accommodations for unexpected, necessary trip

Had a very clean room. The staff was very kind and courteous during our stay. Right off I-40/ I-75 in West Knoxville. Was close to many places for shopping and eating. Room rates were very reasonable. Check in was quick and easy and pets stay for free. We will continue to stay at this Motel 6 whenever we come through Knoxville, TN.

Clean room, great staff and great location

Room is ok.  Bathroom has mold.  Exterior walkways and parking cluttered, dirty, and stained.  Building has been repainted so maybe their working on it.  No pet fee - a plus.  Wife wanted to go to another hotel, but we stayed anyway.

Pictures online misleading

RUN..We had stayed here 2 years ago and it was clean for a budget motel. Felt safe and could take our dogs. Then same time of year as before 2 years later this had all changed,  the first room had dog urine in 3 places all over the floor. Smelled bad was supposed to be non smoking but didn't smell like it. When I went to complain the housekeeper had the audacity to accuse me of letting my dog pee in the floor. I explained that if it was my dogs I would have cleaned it up. We got moved to another room which was also dirty but not as bad. It was late at night and we had no choice so we went to the Dollar store bought cleaning supplies and literally wiped everything down in this room including the walls where people would touch and doors. Then follow we mopped the floors with a mop and bucket we had to purchase.  Shower was moldy so we cleaned the toilet just to use it.  This room was so disgusting. I did not want to let my little dog run on the floor because I was afraid it would get him sick. We made the best of a really bad situation and the manager never said she was sorry just that I shouldn't have to clean my room. The night staff when I complain just looked at me offered no apology or solution. So when I spoke to the manager the next day all she said is that she would give me my money back and talk to the cleaning crew.. I guess that's the least you can do but on top of it it was 4th of July weekend so my vacation was ruined. I had to overpay the last minute for a new hotel the next day for the next three days. If you're thinking of going to this hotel don't. It has turned in to the dirtiest place and on top of it there were people in the parking lot smoking crack and sitting outside their hotel rooms drinking and smoking pot. We found crack pipes on the ground near where we were supposed to be taking our dogs to use the restroom. It was the most scariest hotel I've ever seen!!!! ...RUN RUN!!!

Front desk person was rude and oppositional when told about roaches in room mold on bathroom ceiling and light fixture. Health Dept. Will be notified and Management will be informed of problems in room and front desk inept handling of issues.

Roaches and poor customer service

I could get past the cigarette burns in the cover, I could get past the mold in the bathroom, and I could get past the hanging light fixture in the bathroom. I could not get over the roaches in the microwave and refrigerator. When I went to to lodge a complaint the guy at the front desk said that he WOULD NOT issue a refund, did not have any other rooms available, and if I was not going to accept his solution (which was poor at best) he would call the police and escort me from the lobby. When I insisted that there should have never been roaches in the appliances he firmly stated that the refrigerator was too cold for roaches and the microwave too hot. He must be the roach whisperer because he was very knowledgeable about the preferred climate of these roaches. I wonder if he knows these are German roaches since he's so smart. When I saw the roaches I thought I was on fear factor, but then I remembered this is Motel 6. Maybe pictures will tell the story better.

Spend $20 more and get a decent room elsewhere. This place was disgusting. The tub had yellow gunk all over it, the rooms smelled of smoke, the bedsheet/pillow cases are not fabric. They are sandpaper and yellow. Horrible place 

Nasty nasty motel

Nice location convenient to I-40 and I-75. The place is a typical Motel 6. It needs attention to detail when it comes to cleaning and maintenance. The room was cleaner than an out house, but not much. i keep my tent cleaner, but it was too cold to stay in the tent!
If they would just clean the room once a week! Pay attention to all the corners, floors and ceilings. The bath room has a popcorn ceiling, Why? The bathroom ceiling needs a good coat of waterproof out door paint to prevent the mold that is growing in the pockets of the ceiling texture. Who ever made the decision to put that type ceiling in all the Motel 6 bath rooms should be forced to clean them all! They have nice floors, but they do not clean them. Just clean them with a dry quick mop once a day to get the streaks, dust and what ever out.
The exterior was in need of a good power wash. Parking was good.
The lady at the desk was confused and really messed with our minds. Not cool after a 13 hour drive! She said our confirmation number was no good. When she found our names in the computer, she said we had canceled them! It was 8 PM and we were not in the mood to argue! We just wanted our rooms! After 30 mins of telling us we had messed up, she found two rooms for us. 
Call the day before you arrive here and call the morning you are to arrive to verify you have a room!!! We had used the Motel 6 app and confirmed it with our credit card!
