I’m a Choice Hotels member and wanted to earn some rewards points. The staff seem to all be locals and they are wonderful. The hotel is clean and quiet. Beds are super comfortable! I stayed on the way to my destination, and was so comfortable, I returned to stay in the same room on my way home 1 week later. WiFi connection is great, also. I highly recommend this hotel.

So comfortable!

We were driving through and needed a place to stay and watch fireworks.  Sleep Inn was great for that.  The room was clean.  The breakfast was enough to get us down the road to our next destination.  And the fireworks show was good.  We watched them from the top of a parking deck next to the World's Fair Park.  11th Street parking garage.

The rooms are sort of updated.  (Newer furniture about it). Mine did have a microwave and mini-fridge.  A/C units are the old style, through the wall types and not all that quiet.  The carpeting was older than the room updates.  Driveway is hard to spot, but just past the Fire station (don't worry about fire safety!).  Left before breakfast so no comments on that.  Room had shower, but no bath.  Maybe other rooms have tubs?  

Best thing.....just 2 blocks from Puelo Grill.  Great place for an upscale meal.  Not cheap, but oh so good!

Just barely OK for the Price

Tennessee is our half way point to go home.  Had made our reservations ahead of time.  Got there around 6:40.  Gave the front desk my reservation information. I was given a key at the very far end of the hotel.   We were given room123.   When we opened it, it was already occupied, even though there was no people in there, the lights were on, towels all over, looked trashed.   So I had to go back up to the front desk for a different room.  I was told that room 123 was shown empty.  I told him it was not.  It was trashed and used.   He said he would check into it.  I really doubt he did. Well apparently either the front desk didn’t check whoever in, or housekeeping didn’t bother cleaning the room.    The room we did get was satisfactory, but when you are traveling long distances, you want clean, available rooms.  So either check your computer system, your staff, your housekeepers, and make it better.  I won’t return here, I dont have time to deal with these type of things.

Gave us a room that was already occupied.

Where does one start. First off, I drove right pass the place, the sign was not lit up at all and many of the lights were off in the parking lot. No one at the front desk, had to call a number on a hand written sign to check in. The halls were dirty and smelled like and old ashtray and when I arrived to my assigned room the door was ajar. I question the front desk on this and they said the cleaning crew just finished cleaning and probably left t open (7:00 pm). I was tied and needed sleep and a shower so I stayed.  The room was old and needed a lot of work, many stains on the carpet, walls with many things broken. There was coffee and cups, but no coffee machine, explain that one to me. It says breakfast is including when I booked the room, but there was no breakfast, I probably would not have eaten breakfast anyway the way the place looked. As someone else had mentioned there where some questionable people  outside and in the halls. Do yourself a favor for couple extra dollars I would stay somewhere else.

Absolutely the worst hotel I ever stayed in.

We were visiting family in the area and needed basic place to sleep. Two rooms one with children also, only wires hanging where smoke detectors should have been, black mold in shower and dirty, toilet seat missing bolt. One night and changed hotels had been told would refund brought up that night and next morning but then said customer service would they said hotel would. No answer next day and now said no you stayed so not refunding. 

UnSafe Conditions 

We were on our way to Gatlinburg and decided to stay here. Big mistake! There was a bad vibe about this place. Especially when there was a woman sitting outside that appeared to be waiting for her "John'". After we checked in, we unloaded our car. When we saw what we saw, as we entered our room, we exited as fast as we entered. There were very little lighting in the hallway, there was holes in the walls, there appeared to have a white sticky substance and oily marks on the headboard as if there had been some sex acts going on, and the room smelled of smoke. We didn't enter the bathroom, affraid of what we might find. While my wife went to load our car back up, I went to the front desk to inquire about a refund. The front desk clerk wasn't hesitant about issuing us a refund and gave us a receipt. I told him out of all the Sleep Inns we have stayed at, this by far was the absolute worst and was totally unacceptable. His comment was "This is what you get when you rent to a bunch of locals". Unless you are okay with "rent by the hour" hotels, this is not your place. Spend a little extra and drive to a reputable hotel.

Rent by the Hour?

The night before my stay here, I stayed at a Choice Hotel in Hagerstown which was outstanding so I was hoping to find the same here.  That was not the case.  There were bags of trash in the hallway and it had not been vacuumed. After an 8 hour drive traveling with a cat, I was anxious to get into a room, get settled, and get some dinner.  When I returned to the room and took a good look, I was appalled.  The floor had not been vacuumed and the bathroom was not clean.  I had to clean the toilet seat and counters with Clorox wipes.  The shower had hair in it.  I was hoping that the sheets had been changed given the condition of the room.  I told the day manager that my room was not clean.  He just said "that is not up to our usual standards' and never asked for specifics. Surprisingly, the hotel had received good ratings in the past. 

Dirty hotel

Walked in to find dirty socks hanging from ironing board, garbage in drawers, and mould in the corner of the shower about the size of a softball, coffee grounds were left in coffee maker.The only good thing about the place was the front desk staff.

Filthy

I called ahead of time and my call was placed on the counter with no hold music while I waited 5+ minutes to speak to the representative.  Despite this, and because most other hotels in the area were sold out, I stayed here anyway.  I only needed a room for a few hours but I wish I just paid more for a more quality hotel.  
The first room I was issued was dirty and had people’s items in there.  The second room I was given looked like someone had been sitting on the bed and didn’t fix it.  I regretfully stayed because I only had a few hours to sleep.  The bedding and comforter were stained and the shower had hair in it.   This hotel needs better monitoring of its housekeeping staff.  While posting this review it appears that other people have experienced the same problem.
