horrible motel looks great on the outside but the service is awful, the towels look and feel like they have been used numerous years, no soap or shampoo in the room, the room was dirty the tub shower was dirty the one and only hand towel looked like it had been used and not washed. they made coffee and put out plastic drinking cups guess what would have happened with that.

the Pool wasn't working and place looked a little ran down. It's summer,  looks like I'd for sure have pool working. Didn't have water in it . And great balls of fire,  only has bowling open right now.

I had exactly the same experience as Tristian and many others in the Google Maps reviews. 

We got to our room and found it pretty gross. Also there was no wifi, pool, shampoo/soap for shower, cups, or working vending (which is important because there are no cups). But we thought we'd make the best of it. 

As we settled down, we found bags of food from previous guests still in the room and the sheets were covered with body hair and at least one pretty large, bloody booger. 

We decided we could not stay there. I thought going down to the desk and explaining all this would get a sheepish apology and a fairly immediate refund. Nope. 

Instead the guy said he'd have to go an inspect the room to see if we were refund worthy. I told him I wasn't interested in a debate and that they way they were acting was insane. (In what other customer service venture do you chunk something this badly and not apologize profusely. Were we going to have to go there and measure the length of the booger together? Swab it for DNA?)

The guy told me inspection was the only way and I told him I didn't want to argue and could just tell the credit card company to stop payment. This is when he got really upset, told us we were trespassing, and said he'd call the police—also weirdly insinuating that it was a small town, so the police would be unfair to us. 

I have this all on video. Would gladly share if Tripadvisor allowed it. Anyway, if you want a good experience, I'd steer clear. If you like used q-tips in the hall, the smell of wet-dog/stale-smoke, booger sheets, and belligerent staff, this could be up your alley. 



Had booger sheets. Asked for refund. Kicked out of hotel instead. So not great.

If i could put 0 i would. We booked the rooms, checked into stains and bugs in the room, then management said i was lying. The GM and front desk just yell and talk over you when you try to reason. Refused the first night of our stay to be refunded because “we had entered the room”. They agreed through call, text, and verbally to refund the rest of our weeklong stay since we weren’t staying there. And then never actually did. I went back in person and i have videos of the staff threatening us with baseball bats, yelling in our ears and faces, and making racist comments to some of our group.

Worst experience ever. “We will scam you if you don’t stay here”

This is now the Motel 6 South.

Cheap, low quality, you get what you pay for.

No breakfast, but they did have coffee in the lobby. Just be sure to bring your own sweetener.  They only have sweet n low (nasty stuff)

Across the street from the Union stockyards, so you might get a whiff of the natural smell of what occurs in the stockyards.

Pros and Cons:  we were not allowed to check in until 3:00!   They do not have an elevator to get to the second floor. Part of the lobby was being used as a storage facility. There is no seating in the lobby. The vending machines were broken.  

The good things;  the water was hot.  The sheets appear clean. most of the staff was very friendly. 

Not sure if it’s good or bad thing but they feed stray cats outside the door and the cats can walk around on the cars.

Ya get what you pay for

This hotel may be the worst I have ever stayed at.  Bathroom had no water pressure.  Toilet was busted.  The lights were falling off the wall.  It is hard to put into word how bad this was.  They have no maintenance to fix anything.  I was outright told I couldn't talk to the manager.  The front desk to me it had been in bankruptcy for 5 years and i do believe that.  She was horrible and basically said i cant do anything.  I would sleep under a bridge before I would stay here again.  I being generous with this review.

Horrible Hotel.  Should be a zero star

simply stated, there is no pet fee nor deposit here;  expansive area for your pet (please pick up);  seemingly, this is a fairly new facility;  rooms are well lit;  select two queen room as opposed to one queen room because the price is the same and the queen room has more space;  rooms were very clean;  facility situated just north of town and easily located;  I stayed here for the first time traveling north, and it was an easy decision to stay a second time traveling south;  overall, I had no complaint;  I will stay here again, probably in December, 2021

NO pet deposit Motel 6 McAlester, OK

This was probably one of the nicer Motel 6 that I have stayed at and I think it's  independently owned. It was really clean.  All of the rooms are in the inside of the building. I parked on the side of the building and went inside to take the stairs to the second level. It had a fridge and a microwave and was conveniently located next to a  gas station with coffee.

Hi.. first the room was cleaner than some 125$ rooms I’ve stayed in.. ( you know that smell.. not here).front desk was very helpful .. my room was a single bed with a cool little loft reading area.. fridge micro. Large bathroom.. they have a coffee room in the morning and a lot  for truck parking.. very close to stores and shopping. Best decision I’ve made lately .. minimum frills but if a good clean peaceful night of sleep then yes

5 star CLEAN from a working man

Nothing fancy but clean and reasonably priced.  Front desk was pleasant.  The room was clean with a spacious bathroom. Your best bet for your stay in Mcalester.  I stayed for two days to get my bearings after quitting my job and it was just what I needed to get some rest.
