I really liked this little motel!  Friendly staff, clean and walking distance to the beach and good food, with a couple of great bars.  I will definitely be back.  I liked it so much that I will be back in October.  Kure Beach is STILL a little beach town. That is the vibe of this little motel.  Do yourself a favor and go.  Chill the soul.  I want to establish this little motel as my beach escape place when the rates are down in the off season but the tourist are gone.  The locals are great too!

Great Motel at the Beach!

Very clean room, fresh linens, refrig, microwave, table and chairs,  No coffee pot but there is a little gas station just a few steps away to grab a cup and either stroll along the streets to see the shops and tastys in the area or walk the beach which is just a couple extras steps away with public access or you can take your cup of joe back to the motel and sit outside as they have chairs right in front of each room. The pier is also just a few steps away. They have a nice clean pool area, ice machine, free parking. Miss Lynn at the front desk is amazing!!  She made this weekend get away at the beach extra special. Thank you Miss Lynn for everything. Will definitely stay here again!!

Two Thumbs Up!

I cannot say enough good things about this motel! We were a little skeptical about staying here,based solely on the outward appearance. But we went with the reviews. Boy were we surprised! It was super clean! The AC was cool. It was right across the street from the ocean with public beach access super close. We would DEFINITELY stay here again if in the area. (If I had to complain, it would be the lack of outlets in the bathroom in room 15) Not a deal breaker for us. 

A gem

I am so happy that we stayed here!  This is an old school motel with updated features like flat screen tv w/Dish Network.  The front desk staff was extremely nice and super helpful with information on places in the area.  Room was very clean and comfortable and less than a block from the beach.  I highly recommend this place whether it's a short weekend stay or a week long vacation!  Will DEFINITELY stay here again when we come back!

FANTASTIC LIL MOTEL

We only stayed one night, but we were highly impressed with this place!  It's an older establishment but VERY well maintained and clean.   The bathroom was small but was immaculately clean and well served our purposes.  Water pressure in the shower was even better than what we have at home! 
 Staff was very friendly and accommodating.   Bed was also very comfortable and sheets were fresh!
Highly recommended!

Great motel for a beach getaway

This place was great. It reminded me of when I was a kid and we came to the beach. So cute. Staff was so nice and caring. Near Pier and Carolina Beach Dinner. Very clean. Had refrigerator and microwave.Bed was comfy.Clean tile floors.Can't wait to go back with whole family.

Love Moran Motel

Stayed here from Thursday to Sunday and it’s was absolutely AMAZING!! The price, the connivence, and the customer service was absolutely wonderful! I really appreciate the little things, like lending an ironing board when needed. These ladies are top shelf and I highly recommend staying here and I will definitely be back, thanks again!

Customer Service Guru’s!!!

Came into the motel with low expectations. I was pleasantly surprised. While minimalist the rooms are clean and comfortable. Very close to the pier and some great food. The beaches are clean and the staff is friendly and welcoming. We will come back.

Great Value and Location

Stayed  here  3  nights recently (March 2023)  kind of    neat  stay,  reminded  of  the  motels   when  I  was  a  kid ...  it  was   a  no  frills motel  but  it  was  clean and  a  very  well  maintained    motel.    Reasonable   rates ... friendly staff   ...  great  channel  line  up  for  cable (actually  the  best  I  have  seen  at  a  hotel)  will  stay  again  when  I  return   to  Kure Beach and  would recommend

Back to the  50s

The Moran is a well known Kure Beach landmark.  Everyone who's been there recognizes the Green Motel across from the pier!  We stayed in the Apt over the Garage; My husband, me, my son, DIL and two grand daughters.  There was plenty of place for all of us. Fresh towels appeared daily while we were out and about.   the full kitchen had adequate space for us to cook breakfast and serve lunch daily and warm up food etc. There is a bar to sit at and eat meals as a family or play games.  Now mind me, if you're looking for a luxury suite, that ain't it but I you need CLEAN, comfortable lodging near EVERYTHING at Kure Beach this is a great place!
