Cabin floors were dirty.  Pool wasn't clean.  Windows wouldn't open.  Place seemed in a state of disrepair.  Wifi didn't work.  Staff members were unhelpful and unconcerned.  Couldn't sleep because of a barking dog.

What a rip off

My wife and I just stayed here for 2 nights. We enjoyed the restaurant and bar, sitting outside on a deck overlooking the water. We also rented a pontoon boat and spent an enjoyable time out on the lake.  The efficiency we stayed in was functional and clean.  Note that it is an older property and could use a bit of refreshing.  The staff was very friendly and helpful.  We did not go in the pool, but the people in it seemed to be enjoying themselves. We had a great time. 

Fun Times 

We stayed in Cottage #8  wonderful view of lake, pool was close by.  The staff were all pleasant and helpful.

We stayed for 5 days.  The pool was the color of a weak margarita. The water level was less than a level to maintain the top skimmers.   While we were there the pool closed for 24 hours, when it reopened it looked the same. The weather has been nice enough through late summer to enjoy the water if it was clean.

The cottage kitchen, bedrooms, and bath were tidy and clean.  However, our feet were black in a 1/2 hour from the dirty floor.  We had relatives with small children  staying in a condo and they had a similar experience. Floors seem never to be mopped.  The opening of the windows was hit and miss.  Some open, some do not. One of the windows had a broken sash, so we propped it open with a coat hanger.  It's a very safe environment, which is good because several of the windows will not latch.

Place could really be some much more.  Nice family environment.

Could not get wifi.

Location is on the water, but be aware this is an area with a rocky shoreline not a sandy beach.

Beautiful Views - Cottages are rustic

Definitely a must stop at if you are on Lake Barkley or in Kentucky! Great food, drinks and even live music on the afternoon I was there. Three great country singers and musicians from Nashville on a tour. Outside and inside seating and a covered bar area on lower level!! Tried The Voodoo drink and was very good!

A party place on Lake Barkley!

This is a super nice clean place. Very cute decor and cute stuff in the gift shop. Live band on Friday and Saturday night. I was truly shocked by the food! We arte there a couple times now and every meal we’ve had has been perfect. The service is fast and friendly and our favorite waitress, Lexie, is always smiling and will to help us order each dish just the way we like it. The prices are very reasonable.

The Food

Terrible customer experience with a pontoon rental today. Dropped anchor in a cove and found out that Buzzard doesn't know how to secure a rope to an anchor. Anchor went down but only the rope came up. When we returned the pontoon I disclosed the issue and assumed they would take responsibility. Unfortunately not. Rather, the owner said that his $25 anchor was more important than my negative review. Would STRONGLY recommend not renting a boat from this place.

Terrible customer service

Great marina & restaurant.  Try the bacon😉! Stayed in one of their cabins & have no complaints.  We were able to keep our boat in a covered slip for just a little more. Cabin to reaturant/shop was well within walking distance.  Only complaint is it's hilly as you would expect being around the lake.

Great weekend getaway 

Buzzard rock is an excellent place to get away. Fishing is great, grounds are well kept.
Pet friendly. close to expressway. friendly staff. come for the fishing, stay for the fun. we have stayed here several times
