My husband and I wanted to stay somewhere for the night to just get away and relax….we should have stayed somewhere else. The fridge in the room was disgusting and rusty. The bathroom had no shampoo, conditioner, or soap. The bed was probably the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever slept on. The entire hotel smelled like smoke and weed.  If you are thinking about staying here, I would strongly reconsider and pay a little more to stay somewhere nicer.  We also had to wait almost 20 mins for someone to finally come to the front desk. I tried to call them like it said to do but no one answered, it was rather frustrating. 

Worst beds ever. 

The hotel credit card reader doesn’t work half the time!  So bring cash or you could get dinged twice!   This my 10th day and still no house keeping.  Theycome one day every other week!  My room door lock has locked me out atleast 6 times!  I spent 30 minutes trying to get the dryer to work.  The washer did but didn’t spin the water out!

Not a bad room

Internet connection is extremely slow but if you want better you have to pay. I'm here for a few months and you have to sign in every week to the free internet, if you can. Not good if you are here on business and would like to do some work.

Room cleaning is every 2 weeks but you can get sheets and linens and do it yourself. Not sure about trash.

Internet  Sucks

I would have given this review three stars prior to the events that took place last night. Last night when my dog entered the elevator he went to the corner of the elevator sniffed around and ate something off the ground. When we got to the hotel room he started to pace around back-and-forth for hours after about an hour of this I picked him up realized his pupils were dilated and we called poison control. Poison control center take him to the emergency vet. At the emergency vet, they did a blood work and found that he had ecstasy in his system. Our dogs have been with us all day due to the front office stating we couldn’t leave our dogs in the hotel room even though we paid a pet fee because our dogs were too loud. Our dogs wind yes but our dogs never barked unlike a lot of the bigger and very loud dogs that would bark as soon as you walked on the hallway. We know that my dog did not get a hold of anything while he was with us and my family at a visitation and a funeral. The only place that he would have picked us up was at the hotel. When we spoke with the manager this morning his remarks were “ well it’s not my ecstasy”. I am trying to get a hold of someone to actually speak and talk to this about but no one has contacted me back and it is extremely hard to get a hold of a representative at choice hotels. So pet owners and people with children beware of what your dog or child me put in their mouth at this particular location.

The room is just ok. The kitchen offers no cookware or coffee maker. The beds are terrible and in desperate need of an update. Every wake up is rough with the back pain from the bed. There is no gym, no breakfast, but there is decent washer and dryers for laundry.  If this weren’t a company paid stay, I’d probably cut my stay short strictly due to the beds. I’m no spring chicken but I’m not old enough to be walking around with constant back and body aches and I’m certain it is due to the camp style beds. Four legs, springs, and a thin (maybe 4”.  It feels that thin anyway) mattress....feels just like a cot and sleep isn’t good.

Dealing with Ashli (general manager) is a pleasure.  I have never had such an amazing and just perfect customer service from anyone in all the hotels that we stayed in the past as We did with Ashli.  Your company is very lucky to have her working for you.  Like I told her she can go to any 5 star hotels and they will hire her on the spot.   We have stayed in 5 star hotels and never had been treated with the respect and friendliness as we have wit( her.  What we love about her is that she is always happy and willing to go the extra mile to help us.  Hope she is been treated with the respect that she deserves.  
Again, your company is very lucky to have her on your team.

Perfect customer service

Fabulous stay.

Our room was incredibly clean (even the corners and cracks of the bathroom were spotless), comfortable, restful, and quiet. Personable and professional staff rounded out our last minute stop in La Porte. We would definitely stay here again.

Family Vacation 

Just letting you know how disappointing my stay at the La Porte TX location was.  Fire alarms went off at least 5 times the month I was there and at all hours of time. The trash bin was kept located in the hallway on first floor so if there actually had been a fire it could have impeded safe passage though there. The door to the elevator electrical room was kept propped open at all times with a box fan cooling the room, which honestly is why I think the fire alarms went off. Staff takes money to wash guests clothing but then passes it on to someone else to do causing guest not to get it back in time.  Beds are seriously awful!!! They are completely worn out with the sides bowing in around the middle medal bar of the frame.  We stayed as a guest for over a month and room was only serviced once during that time. When I asked, was told it was just the way service fell.  Some of the staff over charges or under charges guest for their room, causing a huge hassle for workers that are already tired and in a bad mood from long hours.  Doors are being slammed all night long by staff going in and out of laundry room.  The side doors are the worst, you have to walk thru multiple people smoking right at the door to get into hotel.  That’s just a few of the problems I had during my stay.   The best thing about the hotel is the cameras everywhere and you have to have a key card to get passed the front desk. 

Seriously disappointing 

I spent a week there. Told the management about the dark corridors and lack of lights, but no action was taken. Maintenance and cleaning was another big problem. There was too much noise and disturbances at nights too.
