Spent one night at 1870 Roebling, we traveled from NY for a funeral.  Lovely little gem of a place.  The proprietor was so nice and accommodating.  The room was spotlessly clean and inviting, and the bed was super comfortable.  We were greeted in the morning to a lovely continental breakfast.  I would definitely go back to stay for a couple of days or a long weekend.  This B&B is a real find.  Just a warm, comfortable, inviting place with lovely view of the Delaware River.

What a great place to stay. Really authentic. Fabulous service by Jo-Anne. Breakfast with fresh fruits, yoghurt and bagels. The Inn is situated in the waterfront of the Delaware river quite near to the Roebling bridge. Definitely suggest to visit this wonderful part of the Catskills!

I highly recommend the Roebling Inn to all travelers looking for delightful hospitality, thoughtful details, and beautiful scenery.  The Roebling is a quaint bed and breakfast right on the Delaware River. It has a lot of historic charm without sacrificing any comfort. Joanne was a wonderful host who went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. When she learned of my partner’s gluten allergy, she went out of her way to provide gluten free breakfast options. We enjoyed coffee every morning out on the front porch overlooking the river. There were also comfy chairs down by the river where we were able to enjoy the scenery up close and even watched a bald eagle perched in the tree next to us for a while before seeing him soar over the river. The views from the property are truly spectacular.  The room was clean and cozy. The bed, pillows, and linens were very comfortable. The Inn is quiet and we enjoyed a peaceful 3 nights rest. We will definitely be back.

Delightful hospitality, thoughtful details, and beautiful scenery

The 1870 Roebling Inn is lovely, situated right on the Delaware, it's comfortable and cozy.  We enjoyed our stay here. However,  we had one issue, specifically the cold breakfast. 

I understand that during the pandemic,  bed and breakfasts were forced to edit how they served their guests. I get that. We have stayed at multiple bed and breakfasts in Pennsylvania since things have started to open back up, and none are still serving the covid breakfast.  These owners understand that serving a hot homemade breakfast is an important part of the experience.  Breakfast is not a cup of coffee and a muffin, where I have to make my own toast.  For $200/night, I expected more. 



Nice place. 

We recently returned from our second stay with Joann, and have already booked a room for late September.  The inn is comfortable and lovely, very clean.  Breakfast is great.   There are nice restaurants in the area, and we had the use od a guest refrigerator and microwave, so we could even save leftovers!

A great, relaxing stay

Nothing bad to find whatsoever. Very clean. Very nice and friendly and Joann was quite welcoming. Why is this not the FIRST page on my search at Tripadvisor for Lackawaxen for B&Bs/Inns??? Not sure can trust the site like I always thought.
However, don't hesitate to book here. The breakfast BTW was wonderful and in no way missed 'hot' breakfast w/ a full array of other options
Also, it's on the Delaware river! Beautiful and yes, we saw bald eagles!

Fantastic!!

My husband and I stayed in the cottage for 3 nights - we found it clean, comfortable, and roomy - yet still, cozy. The full kitchen was great to have when staying for the amount of time we stayed in the area. Our stay was peaceful - a true home away from home! 
Our hostess was very welcoming - making sure we would have a comfortable stay (such things as letting us know the main house porch was available for us to sit; that the river was available to go down to). She also made sure we had clean towels each day. 
The property is beautiful with potted flowers, planting’s, etc.

Enjoyed our stay

we rented the cottage it is very cozy and very clean. the cottage kitchen has all the ameneties needed and the living room has cable as well as a dvd collection. the bedroom is very small good for one person. JoAnn kept us supplied in fresh towels and collected our garbage daily. The Eagles are a sight to see. tame deer all over the place.

fishing on the delaware just steps away

I just got back from having a relaxing bachelorette weekend here. There is a little quiet place to sit and have a fire right on the Delaware river. From the very first evening, we were greeted by very tame deer, a family of bald eagles, and jumping fish. 

The rooms and the entire place is extremely peaceful. You can owe that quality to not only the surrounding environment, but to the hostess. She was warm and had a small continental breakfast waiting for us downstairs. 

You can tell she is a people pleaser as she has lactose free milk and included a gluten free coffee cake that was out of this world. Not many people have those items added. It was a very kind and thoughtful gesture even though we weren't gluten free. It's the small touches that really added to this place!

Although it is in the middle of nowhere, outstanding restaurants are only around 20 minutes away and tubing and walking paths are closer. 

If you are looking for a place that gets you "out" for a weekend or longer, do yourself a favor and come here!

Excellent Views on the Water and Fantastic Hostess

My wife and I stayed there for a night on a day trip where many stores (towns) were basically shut down for the day. Even the Zane Grey Museum was closed. Joann, the hostess, called over and the staff opened the museum so we could browse the exhibits. This museum sheds a lot of light on who he was and what he did through out his fantastic life. While the Inn no longer has a hot breakfast she certainly provided us with much to select from. We had a great stay and if we are in the area we would stay there again. The room as very clean and nicely decorated. The pictures along the hallway show what l;ife was like 100 years ago. A great history lesson.
