This is our second year and we LOVE IT here. The cabin is great- clean room, comfortable beds and pillows, fluffy towels. The welcoming owners make us feel like we are visiting family. Never a hesitation to help make our stay as comfortable as possible. Pool and playground are perfect for a family -it's been a little too cold to swim each year in Sept but still open to sit by and relax. The scenery is nice with small views of the lake and the sunrise onto the cabin porch is so relaxing. The cars driving on 9N can be heard but not intrusive for us. Well-kept property. So close to downtown and easy access off the highway.  Can't wait to come back next year! Good value for the price 

Great home away from home

This was our second time staying. This place is clean and comfortable and well maintained. The owner was prompt and helpful with booking. She was very welcoming when we arrived and remembered me from last year. We rented several cabins for our large family group and we will definitely be back. Is in a quieter area, not right on the strip but just a short distance from town. I have no complaints. As a matter of fact, I’m going back in September. This will be our go-to in lake George 

A relaxing stay

What a beautiful  place stay in a wonderful  place called the gold eagle cute and Cory  place only 3 to 4 mile away from town but was nice is just wait in front of the place and flag down the north trolley and it take u into town

Bike week

Visited July 2016 with my husband and two teen daughters. Mary and her husband are very warm and inviting. The cabins are classic Lake George: simple, well-kept, very clean, very pretty and well-kept grounds, pristine in-ground pool, short walk to the lake. The $1 shuttle into town stop right in front of the property. It was an excellent value for the reasonable rates. I will be returning this summer with my two girlfriends for a Girl's Weekend...can't wait!

Loved it...going back this summer 2017

We rented two-two bedroom cabins for our large, extended family. We were greeted by an older man who was a bit unprofessional but he definitely turned it around. The cabins are not updated but they were just right for our needs. We booked the last weekend in June from Friday to Sunday. We were able to cook breakfast every morning and dinner every night. The cabins also have a grill, outdoor space, and table for cooking outdoors. There is a pool, basketball hoop, playground, ping pong tables and other activities available. It was not top notch but we had a great time.

Family Getaway

My family always plans our yearly Lake George trip. This one made us reconsider. This was our first time spending it in the GOLDEN EAGLE. My aunt booked our stay and she honestly did not look at reviews the way I would have, however now that I came to write one, did not see many and I feel it’s my responsibility to make sure you guys get the real review from me. We rented a two bedroom cabin, about 6 of us stood there. HORRIBLE WIFI, but there is some. They seem to have the main router in the main office, if not near you’re screwed. We also had other family members who rented in another spot because this one did not accept animals, which is understandable but once they came to visit us, they said we could not have any COMPANY as per rules “NO GUEST”. I posted a rules regulation form so you will be advised of the MANY RULES because my aunt was not informed Upon booking. The pool was full of insects. One of the filters broke. The cabin was very old fashion and in need of a lot of TLC! My mother rented out another cabin because she likes her privacy and they left the day before us. I watched the lady and her husband go in for about 10 mins and did not even walk out with the bed sheets. Which to me made me assume they don’t really clean. The cabin we stood in had many ants crawling all over the place and when we slept I was VERY ITCHING, hence that now it think I know why “disgusting :(.” Of course being on vacation you stay up and spend time with family. The owners EVEN HAD A PROBLEM WITH THAT. He came to the cabin requesting for us to go inside after 11:00pm ... I was so taken back by this experience that I had to leave a review and share my feelings so nobody has to go through what we went through. My aunt was so disappointed with our stay we all wanted to leave early and asked for a refund which is also not given. PLEASE READ RULES !!!! Hope my review helps! 

HORRIBLE!!! This is a MUST READ.

Stayed a week in June 2018. Cabin had the basics but could really do with updating of equipment, furniture & shower. Checked out other places nearer the lake (and away from road noise) and found that they would offer better value & not cost any more.
