Don't even bother booking here. I booked through booking.com, they tried saying I didn't,  but I had all the receipts. They refused to honor my booking. Booking.com spoke them. This cost me 6 hours of driving, a bunch of money and aggregation. I had my poor 10 year old daughter with me. Terrible owners. They said they'd conp me another stay, never sent me the comp. 

Ruined my vacation 

We went camping during a rain storm and had to find a place to stay.  We called this motel and they gave us a great rate for the night.  The new owners are very nice and made sure we had everything. We ended up extending our stay for another night we liked it so much. The rooms are very new and clean with cool high tech locks.  Honestly the best place to stay on the lake we will be back!

The room looks nice, but the more you look the grosser it gets. There were stains on towels, hair all over the bathroom and MICE. I saw their droppings in the bathroom cabinet and heard some chasing noises during the night.

Recently refurbished room was clean & simple, with a comfortable firm queen bed, roomy bathroom, mini-fridge and microwave. The air unit was new and warmed up the room quickly. Three pillows were provided, and there were four bath towels, a hand towel, and a washcloth. All the linens were spotless & like-new. Water pressure in shower was weak but the adjustable shower head fixed that.

Comfortable, compact single was exactly what i needed.

I would give zero stars if I could. I paid 3X the rate of their normal room, being it was Labor Day weekend, which I get. I certainly was not worth what I paid -- but, it gets SO MUCH WORSE. I was put into a bug-bed infested room, and ended up getting over 100- bites in one night. The staff on site moved us to another room, but the property refused to compensated us for the disgusting inconvenience. On top of that -- apparently, the incident was not documented, so it is highly likely that the infestation will spread. I trusted they would have good business practices, and foolishly acted out of good faith in dealing with the issue.
When I called the property the next week, dealing with incredible anxiety that I may end up with a bed big issue in my home, I was basically hung up on and not provided any compassion. I do not recommend going here, and certainly do not recommend booking through a third-party service because that was used as an excuse as to why they would not compensate us.
I am sorely disappointed, and disgusted.

Bed Beg Infested Property and Terrible Customer Service

I contacted the hotel to see if I could change dates of the booking, as my father was ill with Covid and there was an exposure in our group. I started calling 4 days before my stay as soon as we found out about the illness. No one would answer the phone and then, it would go to voicemail, which was always full (convenient). At this point I started to get concerned about the hotel itself being legit. With the stories of human trafficking- you never know!I finally got through on Friday(the same day as my reservation) to see if I could make another arrangement. I understand it was non refundable, but I wanted to see if I could move the hotel room in the other person in my groups name (it was still prepaid) or move the date to a different date. The lady on the phone was EXTREMELY rude and told me she did not have time to deal with me and I needed to contact Booking.com., I tried to explain that they had asked me to contact the hotel and she hung up on me. I contacted them and they told me that i needed to contact the hotel. Like before I tried to call and there was no answer and the voicemail was full, so I was unable to reach the hotel. I was encouraged by booking.com to email the hotel to request a different date. I emailed and still have not heard anything back. Please DO NOT do business with this hotel!

1.0   No one answers phone, VM is full- Rude when you finally reach someone

I've stayed here several times DESPITE the shabby, dirty rooms and inept management (bungled reservations, broken lights, crap TV, etc.) because it was super convenient to an event I attend at Lake George.  Figured I wasn't spending a lot of time in the room anyway.  So, for the 2020 event I had a paid reservation at Lake View, but, lo, the event was canceled and New York was shut down for out-of-staters.  I contacted the Inn's management and explained why I was canceling (duh).  It was a non-refundable reservation so I asked them if I could just keep the reservation for 2021 when the event would tentatively be staged again (pending favorable pandemic conditions).  Well, the event is on for 2021 and Lake View Inn says too bad, you didn't use the reservation soon enough and you forfeit the 4-day reservation money you paid last year.  It's been less than a year since the cancelation and I took too long to book a reservation?!?  That's dishonest and just naked greed.  Even if I wasn't a  repeat customer, this is horrible treatment for anyone.  So, I'm going to lay out an honest overview so fellow travelers won't keep this toilet afloat. The rooms and bathrooms are generally filthy.  The beds and linens are cheap and not comfortable.  The cleaning staff must be paid in magic beans because they don't do a good job and probably don't care.  The TV suxxx.  Ownership is moronic and money grubbing nitwits.  Stay anywhere else than this bug-infested outhouse.

Dishonest Ownership, Poorly Run and Dirty as a Dive Bar Rest Room

We were quoted $45 for the one night we stayed.  
We were charged $179.00.  Of course, no one was in the office to help.  We called when we got home and were able to get someone on the phone after 4 tries.  The woman said she never said $45.  After staying there, I wouldn't pay $10 for a night let alone $179. We are disputing it.  The place is creepy.  None of the amenities they advertise.  A broken taken apart air conditioner was right outside our door.  Awful.  DO NOT STAY!!!!!

Horrible!

manager was friendly.  Maid service sucked.  Never changes sheets unless asked.  Towels were changed only on request.  Bath towel had a huge black hair. room number 110  Bathroom had no hot water in sink bathtub water pressure sucked.  Garbage bags were never dumped  took trash bag out when I left.  Spiders on floor.  Molding in ceiling was missing   first night doggie had accident on bed went to manager for new sheets and gave us full size sheets for a queen size bed.  A blanket he claimed was damp.  Was so wet the sheets on the bed was soaked.  Had to sleep on a dog pissed bed an sheets that were wet from the blanket.  No HBO just basic cable.  small TV.  Very small room had barely enough room to move around.  no view out window but weeds and tree's.  Behind the Inn was abandon limo car.  over grown grass and trash.  Friday morning had another dog come never told the owner there was another dog in back   People were surprise to see us there.  Dogs got into a fight and had all I can do to break them up   Thank god either one of them got barely hurt  Besides all the bad things.  The inn was in a great place close to the lake and things really close by.

The place was dirty and had spider webs in the corners of the place. There was not enough towels and questionable if the room was cleaned.
It was run down and moldy in certain spots of the room.
I don’t recommend this for families. It is a place to stay maybe one night and then leave.
Pricing was WAY too high! Not worth $471.00, three night stay!
