Sam is a great bartender, venue not so great. Watch your contract. Rustic rooms. Small parking lot but Valle packs them in. Good amount of channels on the TV. Minimal beers in the cooler, no Michelob ultra. Just for bottle beers the rest is on tap. Try it out one time.

Ok stay, good bar tender

This is an old hotel that has been completely renovated…and they did a nice job! 
Stayed here for 2 nights off-season and felt very comfortable in the surroundings.
Room had everything you need…nice hot shower and good bath amenities. The shampoo, conditioner, soap are very masculine smelling. I don’t mind it, but my wife doesn’t. The standard stuff for a Tribute Portfolio hotel.

Bed was very comfortable! Complimentary water, mini fridge, coffee maker…all nice touches. Liked the artwork and local touches. I enjoyed the small sitting area set apart from the bedroom…very comfy although not sure every room has this? Room was a bit tight, but adequate.

Other reviews stated the walls were thin…we were fortunate as the hotel was not that full but feel that could be a problem.

The check in clerk was outstanding…sorry we did not get her name…a local resident who made you feel welcome and provided great recommendations for dinner, etc…Thanked us for staying and made us felt welcome…Awesome!

Had breakfast at Marcy’s. Kudos to Azra who provided awesome service. Breakfast options were unique and tasty…you will not go hungry!

My only negative was that the restaurant/bar was not open on both nights of our stay. We heard they are short-staffed. It would have been night to dine/drink in the hotel, but it gave us the opportunity to venture to other places around town.

Seems like they cater to groups…as we were checking out we noticed a sign on the door stating “ hockey sticks not allowed in this hotel.” Yikes!!! Been there….glad we did not experience teenage kids playing hall hockey?!?!

I will stay here again! Nice ambience and excellent service!

Great location with nice ambiance

We were staying at the hotel for just a couple of nights, but we really enjoyed it. The most special about this hotel is staff, very warm welcoming and friendly, ready always to help. We had an issue with hot water but it didn't ruin the over all experience. Thank you all guys, great job!

Amazing hotel, great Team

Our very large group had an incredible stay at The Grand Adirondack. The staff lead by Steve Vance was top notch; always warm & welcoming. Steve was a dream to work with - professional, attentive, accommodating. He showed a genuine interest in our group and our purpose for visiting Lake Placid. 

Every interaction from the hotel staff - from Valet service to Marcy Bar bartenders were friendly, service-minded, and made us feel special, despite the hotel being sold out. The signature drinks & Espresso martini was perfection. 

A beautiful Welcome Reception was put on by Steve & Jules and every member of our group complimented the fantastic job that was done.  

The design aspects of the hotel and rooms were beautiful. There were large areas for congregation offered in the lobby and water & coffee provided throughout our day. 

Rooms were generously sized, well appointed and thoughtful in design. Dimming lights, incredibly comfortable beds, complimentary sparking water & coffee from local artisans, along with daily room service (which was an added surprise).

Our group could not have imagined a better stay  - largely orchestrated by the efforts of Steve - and are very much looking forward to our return next year.

Luxury & Adirondack Charm with Great Service

Good hotel and great location. Only issue we had was with valet.  Valet left car unattended while car was running and keys were in the car and car doors unlocked.   It only takes moments to steal a car.  Also not environmentally friendly at all.  I have never seen this practice with valet services before.

Good hotel but beware of valet service practices

Great location , Immaculate hotel .  I stayed here for a hockey tournament , the hotel is in walking distance from the Olympic rink .  I had a king size bed , big room with a nice seating area, big bathroom .  The staff were all so friendly , I got there early and was able to check in early and have a late check out , the staff were accommodating.  They do charge you $19 to valet park but it's easier than finding parking in town and once you park your car you can walk everywhere.  I would definitely recommend this hotel. 

Great location ! Great hotel !

Stayed here three nights while on a triple a bus trip. A wonderful experience clean spacious rooms, comfortable beds, good food and located right in the center of town. Had a great top facility overlooking the lake with a bar. I was so impressed with the manager, Steve, who was very attentive to our needs, and available to answer all our questions and greeted us when we got off the bus and came and saw us when we left. Wonderful staff.

One of the nicest places I have stayed, and while we were there, they celebrated their one year anniversary. Highly reco

Just returned from a 5 day trip with my sister. We were in the area to relax and hike. Amazing boutique hotel! The room and beds were very comfortable and had a nice view of the trees behind the hotel. Very good central location only 15 min to great hiking. The food at the Marcy bar and restaurant was top notch. All the staff were very helpful but Allison at the front desk was a standout. She was warm, personable and helped us with great recommendations about hiking, walking, shopping, farmers markets, etc. The rooftop Cloud Splitter bar was fun too with a perfect view of the lake and surrounding mountains. We are planning to stay again next year for another week of hiking.

Great hotel and staff

This hotel has several things that are attractive to a traveler: memory foam beds, great location in the center of downtown Lake Placid Village, large bathroom with a terrific shower, and valet parking.  Our room had a small refrigerator, but no microwave, as the website had indicated it would have. There are no ice machines on the floors, so you have to go down to the front desk to get ice when you want it. But if you’re not a big ice user, that’s not a problem. is it worth staying here? Absolutely! It’s comfortable and the staff is very friendly. 

Grand Adirondack is worth staying at

The location is awesome. The lobby is great, comfortable to sit in and inviting. The rook was good. Spacious. Still needs a bit more updating. Our room had a musty smell when we arrived. We started up the fan and it went away. Bathroom was updated nicely. Nice sitting area. Bar and restaurant closed early, which was a bummer for us. Would stay again.
